I am selling my Aem v1 1313 ecu. It is actually a evo ecu but I used it in my 2g dsm. Can use in any 4g63 just determine cas or crank trigger with some minor pin dealing. I can walk you through it. Anyway, works great. Call of text with questions 407 952 nine 346.Asking $400 shipped
LOL. Yea I have manual idle to 1100 ( bolt on a 1g throttle body). Under that the cams try to shut the car off. I have speed density with a plug n play harness. Using a 3 bar gm sensor. I should have put a log up and will asap. I was watching the wideband when it does it and goes lean.
Hey all, i have a wierd problem and can't quite figure it out. I replaced the tps and deleted the iac/fiav. Have searched but not seen a issue like this one. Please watch the video and let me know what you think. It is like the car looses signal from the throttle. Happens while driving and...
FINALLY BOOSTX BUSHINGS ARE BACKAfter Torque Solutions <allegedly> stole John's product design.....he is back. I have been waiting almost a year for these subframe bushings. I love supporting freelancers and our community. These bushings are the original dsm subframe bushings starting with...
If your running that code man you should look into the canister back by the tank. Also a boost leak tesr wouldn't hurt. Both could be reasons for running lean.
I am not sure if I introduced myself but my name is Chris. I live in orlando florida. I purchased a 97 tsi awd in december of last year. My friend had a nasty evo and I wanted awd. I gave up my se-r that I turbo'd. The clutch went and took it to my father in-laws shop. It went from a clutch and...
Hello all. I am going to install an oem bse kit to finish up my bottom end. I have seen the videos but i. Not clear on the bearings that are pressed in the block. Do they come out? If removed does it effect oil pressure as far as dropping through journals? Thanks.
Just to chime in......our cars also tend to run a bit rich being boosted. Like spoolin92 said don't sweat it. I try to stay away from additives but lucas products are excellent across the board; oilnstabalizer....gas...all their Stuff.
Get on the web and see what it cost new or similar model new price. Sell it for about half that; maybe less if it needs rebuild. You can also call precision for a new price just for a guide. Hope this helps
Just recommend this. Take the radiator cap off and crank the motor. See if coolant is forced out. If it is you are getting compression into the coolant jackets.
Make shure you get one with a bend. If not you will have to do welding or whole lot of intercooler coupling. Prone to leaks that way
Here is a picG-Pop Shop :: *Brand New* Genuine Garrett Big T28 Turbo |
If you get some time test the voltage from each injector
Also look into the injector pulses. There has to be something that caused the ecu to flip out.
Guys i notice a common pattern. People replacing plugs. I did the same thing bit still had a stutter or just wouldnt pass 4 grand. I had to step down in heat and to a marine ngk. Cleared up. Hope this helps
Good way to check for head issue is to take the cap off the radiator and crank the motor. See if you have some compression going into the coolant jackets
Dude i know your set on twin scroll but might be another hot side you can use. I got my buddies hx35 clipped and lightened up with a bullseye 70. Full boost at around 3200. Look into those hotsides.
Definitely not ebay. You can tell by the serial numbers. You prob have the list of serials if not search for "identifying 16g". Sorry would link but doing this on my phone laptop down. Prob worth 100-200 with some damage.
I am with this guy. Lol. I still have a/c and am shooting for 600hp. I really like the gauges that mount were the passenger airbag go. Also look into the steering column cluster. That's my favorite spot.
If you are looking for a budget power increase pick up a cast 14b manifold and a 14b. You can even upgrade to a 16 down the road. That's what i did. Don't mess with the t25 or manifold. Just my opinion
My 16g was in similar shape. I sent it to have it rebuilt by a shop near me. They did machining and rebuild including new bearings and compressor. Blew up week later on 20 psi. Just consider going with a forced performance turbo if possible. Btw my rebuild cost 300.
I got hoses at bennett auto. They have Goodyear and gates hoses. Pretty sweet. I would stay away from doing to much modification for hoses. Just my $.02
Keep boost below 15psi. Have to say with boost creep issues you need a wideband yesterday. The white on a plug can mean a few things but dont read onto it. Just get a wideband.
Hey Man! Welcome to DSM! I am rebuilding the same car right now. I am thinking about tuning mine on E85 once its done. If you have any questions about anything let me know.
Talons are much sexier and rarer. Just be happy that you own the better model lol. I do like the eclipse look but it is a hassle to do the swap. Its not as easy as people make it seem. You do have to modify the brackets a little to get bolts to line up.
If the bearing is bad it will make noise on that side. If you have a lot of play I would just replace the hub and bearing complete. It does sound to me like a hub bearing friend.......like 90% sure if it has play. If the car dose not shut off when you turn just make noise sounds like bearing.
Lovely find amigo. PB Blaster is the way to go lol. Hope you still have a compressor and the urge to dump money back into the pit ROFL Goodluck friend awesome ride.
Well, I see people hitting kind of hard on what is already known. Teens have an issue with speed and horrible driving lol. Not everyone is the same. I hope you enjoy the project even if it turns out to much to handle. Remember there are better dsm out there to work on and don't let that one...
Congrats! You need to realize hoe fortunate you are and act accordingly. If this is your daily driver I would stick to maintenance and bolt-ons. Love that car like it's your last and maybe later on you can get another one and turn this one lose. Good luck friend I am a newb too.
