Another good source of rally specific information would be Dirtyevo.com. There's some very knowledgeable guys there too. I am in no way trying to say the guys here aren't knowledgeable, as there are some of the best with this platform on here. Just that DE is more rally specific. That's all.

I either use jnz or rockauto for most parts, because a 1g in a salvage yard around me is like finding a needle in a haystack. You could try millerimports, he usually has hard to find parts.

Pull your door panel off and take a look see. That's about the only way your gonna be able to tell. I'm not sure but if it's like the power windows. The bolts that hold the window, may have backed out. That pop you may have heard was probably the plastic clips on the bottom of the window...

I would start by reading that CEL. The multimeter trick has helped me out several times. That way you can rule that possibility out.

Actually that was the first and the last time I seen that particular one. The two in the driveway, live in the same town as me. The other one works at a gas station near my job. It's a cavalier man. Yea, that's probably your safest bet. Between that and if you did remove them it MIGHT draw a crap load of dust into the car while you drive, and that could be bad in a bunch of different ways.

If you literally ran the car out of gas before it sat, you may have pick up some sediment from the bottom of the tank. If that is the case change the fuel filter, and have the injectors flow tested.Sorry didn't see where you changed the fuel filter.
