It kept throwing a file error, I wonder if it's cause I renamed the logs this time. Thank you for that, I cannot believe I could not get a file to attach lol. They are in post 1 now.I was wondering about the FIAV myself. This issue came about when the car was tuned, was fine before but...
No change at all running the wideband as narrow 02. Got to be something happening within the open loop for sure though, I appreciate you narrowing that down. Suggestions appreciated, time for more reading as well.Anyone reading, logs are in post 1 in the google drive link. I don't know why...
Thank you for your insight.I tested the heater and I'm getting 21.9ohms on the sensor side and 12.39v from the ecu side with the car off so that seems good. I will have to wait until the car is cool enough to test the NB simulation. I got things tested and moved with only 1 significant burn...
EDIT: LOGS NOW POSTEDHi there,I had my car tuned a couple of years ago and since then I've had a cold start slow surge + dies. I can't seem to figure it out so hopefully one of you log gurus might point me in the right direction. Once warmed up it runs flawlessly and hot starts are fine...
Hey guys,Quick list
ECUFlash with Ceddy bigmaps, EVOScan, AEM Wideband, FIC 850's, Walbro 255, Automotive AFPR at 43PSI no vacuum, FP71HTA.I've searched and searched and from what I can tell using ECUFlash with InjectorScalingDSM your injectors should be scaled relatively close to actual vs...
You'll need the tactrix 2.0 cable to reflash, and EVOScan to log which is about $25 off of their site. These are the tables you'd be looking for to eliminate the CEL and activate/deactivate purge etc.
I used a felpro set TCS 45941. https://www.fme-cat.com/overlays/part-detail.aspx?brandId=FL&pNum=TCS%2045941&partType=Crankshaft%20Seal%20SetAlso I copper sprayed the gaskets, but I do that to most.
That was a tough read, but here is what I gathered. Also here is a link to VFaq: http://www.vfaq.com/index-main.html specifically look at: http://www.vfaq.com/mods/timingbelt-2G.htmlAre you talking about the pulley that has the 2 holes in it for tensioning, or the bracket itself? There is a...
For the future people, you can take your old snapped belt and wrap it around the pulley and vice grip it to itself (the teeth will hold the torque of twisting) and get someone to hold it or bind it in a corner. I had an engine mount available and a longer timing belt obviously instead of the BS...
1). Any boost, vac, or exhaust leaks?
No leaks whatsoever at 25PSI2). Verified mechanical timing?
Yes, twice. Unless I'm utterly out to lunch it's perfect.3). Verified base timing?

That's a pretty standard gap if you do a little searching and is commonly recommended. It's also what I used in my block as well I'm currently building. The pistons come with a chart as well to do the math for your particular application.Since the redirects are not working here is a cached...
If you focus on the nickels your going to start losing dollars. It's 32 bucks. That's nothing compared to the damage you may cause if you mess up just one. With all the money that goes into a block why skimp now?Joel
Not sure of exact but it's deep.As for price, for the money I would say they are more than comparable to other options for head units given what they are capable of. I want one for in car tuning.Joel
Is yours the auto?My old man has a 06 ram 3500 with the 6 speed manual and it's fantastic. Mileage is great too, better than my Isuzu Rodeo with a 3.2L Gas.Drives me crazy haha.Joel
As in where the oil holes are in the crank if I run my nail around the journal when I get to edge of the oil holes, there is a lip protruding them. I attached a quick photo of a cross section below. Imagine the box in the center is the oil passageway and the circle is the crankshaft if you were...
Your telling me. Somehow my stock crank was cracked, and then issues with a brand new forged one... what's the third thing to go wrong. Hopefully I get it over with soon. :banghead:Joel
Hey guys, I hate to post this to here but I'm trying to get this thing together and I'm at a bit of a stopping point and there is very little traffic happening in the short block sub forum.building my motor and got ACL Race bearings for it. I installed my crank and removed it again to check...
Hey guys, building my motor and got ACL Race bearings for it. I installed my crank and removed it again to check some stuff and found my bearings to have scratches on them. What I think it may be from is the oil journal on the crank. If I run my nail down it it catches on the corner of journal...
Working on the engine and managed to break a ring installing my pistons into the block on my wiseco's. Bonehead move, so much for getting the block back together today...
Anyone have a tan leather drivers seat in good condition?PK how soon do you want the fogs? I'll know in a couple weeks whether or not I can keep mine with my IC.Joel
Once the engine colds? Are you throwing any 02 sensor codes? Or any codes at all for that matter? What's your mileage like? You can also test it with a decent volt meter.O2 Sensor FAQJoel
Thanks for your suggestions guys but between angles of photos and the fact that my engine is beside my car as stated in the first post, I figured I'd see if someone could quickly grab a tape and a piece of paper.I agree with your statement of relying on someone else but I'm basically trying to...
Hey guys,Really didn't know where to post this, but was wondering fi somebody could get me the following measurements on this photo as accurately as possible.Basically the amount of room between the engine and the strut tower at the smallest point, how far from the firewall the IM sits...
Hey guys.Basically I got my block all machined/cleaned etc but there is some sort of thickish black coating on it that was on my block before I took it in and apparently the machine shop cleaning it couldn't get it off. A coarse wire wheel won't touch it. The only thing I've managed to do is...
In a FWD you end up spinning tires which is a lot easier on the trans than the shock load you get from the hookup in AWD.This applies to pretty much all drive train components in an AWD vs FWD.
Long time no update,I've been crazy busy with work/school over the last couple months so I have not gotten a whole lot done. I've started to remove the interior, got the engine to the machine shop which I should be picking up tomorrow. Turns out my crank is cracked so I'm on the hunt for a...
My fuse box/wire harness is mid tuck/relocate haha so hooking up a battery won't be easy. Maybe I'll try a 12v source directly to the seat if I can manage to get to the connector. What a ridiculous issue to have haha.
