    greengoblin's AWD Project

My car broke and I have had trouble deciding what to do with it. This build is awesome and very inspiring, though mine is a 420a platform, after seeing/reading all of this really has me wanting to do a full teardown, street build. Thanks for the inspiration and keep up all the great work!

Ok so heres my dilemma. I have a 95 420a first off. I was drivin down the road, car was running fine. Happened to look down and saw my temp gauge just in the red. Came to a stop sign and when I stopped the car died. Being as I was in the middle of the road I treid to start it back up. After a...

    manual window broken?

Ok so the other day I rolled my window down about a quarter of the way. When I went to roll it up it was stuck. It would roll down further but wouldn't roll up. Today I went to roll it down farther to get access to the bolts for the glass and the handle arm is stripped, it just spins. I know now...

    My custom headliner/interior

I just posted the pic I have of my shift boot in the interior shots gallery. If it helps come spring I have to redo it, ill photo and post the process when I do.
  7. greengoblin2011

    My custom headliner/interior

The shiftboot was pretty easy. Once I got it out I carefully cut the thread, upholstered each piece and stitched it back together. I have a pic of the finished product but didn't take any process pics.

    Another LED upgrade thread.

I think it all looks sick! I love the taillight setup, keep that updated, I want to watch and see the finished product. I like that you have it all planned out and drawn up, very detail oriented. Will defintely turn out well.

    My custom headliner/interior

I have the boring gray interior also. I figured since the car is green then green headliner and hiftbot would add some contrast and I have a chrome shiftknob, pedals and gauge bezel so I'm going to do a chrome interior kit to spark it up a little more. The vision in my head says it should look...

    My custom headliner/interior

My phone won't let me put a photo in my reply but let me upload it to the site so itsin the photos on here. I did my shift boot in the same material but I cut my hand recently and got blood all over it driving myself to get stitches so I have to pull it apart and redo it.
  11. greengoblin2011

    My custom headliner/interior

That looks good. I did mine in green velvet with a 3d triple diamond. First one I ever did. Was impressed with the result. Ill try to get a pic of it tommorrow.

    difference in 2g radiators

You know, I never gave any thught to a 1g radiator, just figured a 2g since it would bolt right in. Ill have to look in to that possibility. Thanks

    difference in 2g radiators

That's what I was thinking, just wanted to clarify before investing in a turbo radiator. I've looked at my hoses and believe even the lower can be modified easily enough. Thanks for the help and clarification guys, I appreciate it
  16. greengoblin2011

    difference in 2g radiators

Quick question. Turbo to non turbo 2g radiators, is the only exterior difference hose placement? I know the auto has tranny cooler lines also but I'm manual so that don't concern me. I ask because I have a small crack at the top of my radiator and need to replace it and was wanting to upgrade to...

Yea through the course of this I have begun considering some form of cover for the gauges. Though they mostly steal items they can ditch real quick at pawn shops for drug money assuming, I'm considering mybe recessing the gauges and having. Tinted panel in front of them. The gauges are black...

That would be funny. Wonder if rather than 12 volts configure maybe a spark plug in the mix like they use for flame thrower set ups. Got hit by a plug once, quite a jolt.

    sick of replacing radio

I get the safety issue of reaching across the car, but I can cotrl volume and song sellection from my ipod, which will sit in the console. Earbuds just aren't loud enough for for me. Around here they want radios, they'd have no interest in gauges. Plus the gauges are all black when off, on a...

    sick of replacing radio

    sick of replacing radio

I agree I do need a nicer neighborhood, trying to make that happen, but even the nice neighborhoods have break ins here. Custom interior ideas

For those who are changing interior stuff, whats everyone doin with the ebrake? Im doing some minor changing on my interior and would love to have my ebrake boot and handle match my shifter but far as I can tell its all one piece. Or am I mistaken?

    wrapping exhaust tip

I agree. It'll look ok on the exhaust tip but I wouldnt do it on a larger surface. I'm probably being over picky anyway, just want something besides chrome or just plain black. Nobody would notice I doubt, just a mental thing for me.

    wrapping exhaust tip

Thanks for the different options guys. I'll probably just end up using duplicolor high temp paint. Have used it in the past on my cousins 402 when we rebuilt it and it looked good and held up nice. Good to know I have other options though.Speaking of the plasti dip, he has a video of how to...

    xtd stage 1 clutch

    Manual fan?

when I bought my 95 gs it only had one fan with no a/c. I bought the second fan and wired it to a switch and relay just for extra cooling at the track. 2g hatch cover

has anyone tried a 06-12 eclipse hatch cover in a 2G? From glancing at the two I see similarities and considered trying one as I found one cheaper than I can find a 2G one for. Was just curious if anyone had tried this and if so what kind of roadblocks they hit.

I did the clutch on my 95 almost 500 miles ago and when I had it in the air noticed my lower balljoint was bad so I replaced that arm. I had to cut the bolt off as it was seized to the sleeve. brake rotors

I know your looking on the cheap so just to put a bug in your ear. On eBay you can get drilled and slotted rotors front and rear with pads for $130.
