Pulled out the o2 sensor, calibrated it, reset deadtimes to 500 and 400. Both times I started the car had the same results. No changes at all. Wideband would just go straight to full rich and the car would die if I didn't give it throttle.
It's an Innovate MTX-L Wideband w/ narrowband simulation. When the car manages to "idle" like it does in the log right now the Wideband gauge is pegged all the way to the rich side.
When I did that the car just died and then wouldn't even start. That was the first thing I tried. I remember when we first tuned the car Gofer made a comment about my deadtime being really high but that my idle looked fine. He helped me tune it in person a few years ago and the idle settings...
Not that I know of. From memory when I set up my wideband we have it set to narrowband simulation but that should be the only changes set up to the ecu for o2.
Hey guys, haven't logged into this site in years so I'm downgrading myself back to noob status because I am having a hard time remembering how to work on my GSX.So she's been sitting for a long time (2+ years?) with me starting her every couple months just to make sure stuff doesn't dry out...
I think it is an optical illusion. Haha. She is probably just rubbing up against it. She is an attention whore though so she'll jump on any chance to impress. Apparently this time she wants to show that she can lift a 12lb flywheel haha.
I finally had some money to buy some goodies!!! It has been forever. Unfortunately with my work schedule I am paying for them to be installed at my friends shop (ugh). But the car is either going to sit there another half year or more... or I can pay to have this stuff installed and make it...
From the examples in your picture it just looks like some junk got into the coolant/rust buildup. When oil gets into the coolant from somewhere in the block or from the stock oil cooler breaking it turns the coolant into a brown sludge that won't flow at all. This happened to me when we...
I've had my whinebro in for awhile but haven't needed to use the left turn signal... I'm going to have to see what happens now lol. Or is it just a 1g thing?
Looks like that wouldn't work for actually powering on and off. And also, since we are sticking with a Windows based platform I wouldn't be able to use an Android app...
Any Windows 7 or Windows 8 tablet that is not an "RT" version. It needs to be actual Windows not the mobile version that can only install apps. Then you just need to install ECMlink and you are good to go. It's basically a laptop with no keyboard and a touchscreen... not a tablet in the...
Bud, there are Windows tablets that let you install programs to them. I have ecmlink installed on one and Corey (gofer) does as well. I would use one of those.Rally, that was an awesome link. The first one is a bit different but the second example in that post is a good example of what I...
This is a REALLY LONG TERM idea that I have when I get done with most of my performance ideas for my car. Obviously it would be somewhat expensive but I am wondering if anyone has done this before:I would like to install a windows tablet that is capable of running ECMlink in my center...
I don't know the specs but just take the bad one into your nearest part store and get hose of that size...I do that for most all of my hoses and they usually have one there that will work or they will cut some hose that has the same type of bend/shape for me.Other than really specific...
Good idea!!!I think if anyone is going to change their clutch at least an ACT Chromoly is a must while they are in there. No sense in leaving the stock one in at that point.
You really don't NEED an afpr and a 255 for your goals... I am shooting for 350hp and I have a wally 190. If you are wanting to save money you could just get a 190 and skip the afpr... Especially if you are going to get a 16g turbo. I have an Evo III 16g turbo (the highest flowing of the...
Just got to reading this thread and I thought this link was worth a revival: CRX Exploding FlywheelWhen these things go, they GO. I'm glad it is on the passenger side... That link is the worst one I have seen...OP: That really sucks I am glad you are ok.
Most people I know that buy cars from out of town fly in, look at it and then drive it back... I would just feel odd not seeing it in person before buying it but hey, it's your money.
As far as the walbro goes mine makes the same sound. If you look in Dsm link the sound matches the change in fuel delivery of the o2 sensor changing to try and keep the air fuel ratio steady. It should get louder then quieter over and over while idling because the car is switching from rich to...
If you are going for a strictly gaming PC that can also handle multiple applications very well I would consider going the AMD route. From a CPU capability standpoint Intel wins every time... however, from a gaming standpoint consider the following:AMD has graphics and processing hardware...
Try it at your next test and tune and compare the times.Honestly though I think your time will still be better going from 1-2 even though it feels worse to you. A lot of times how something feels is different than what it is haha
Interesting I didn't know that. The last 68hta I saw looked just like a 16g. Still, the link he provided was around 1000+ for that mhi Evo III 16g. I would personally rather have a 68hta if I was going to spend that much. 1400 is a little bit of a jump with the internal gate option but still...
If you are going to spend that much on an EVO III 16G I would just buy a 68HTA. It is a 16g variant made by Forced Performance that will give you so much more room to grow in the future...Just FYI. I waited for a good looking EVO III 16g to just pop up on the classifieds here and got it for...
Wow. Awesome to see that we have a solid eta on a testable version. I'm trying really hard to get the gsx running well enough to test this out in time. Clutch, flywheel, timing belt and water pump all came in today. Well the flywheel came from Corey a couple days ago but just got it machined...
One thing overlooked a lot is the o2 sensor housing. A ported /ss o2 housing such as the punishment racing one can help a lot with boost creep. The increased flow of the area the air has to travel on the waste gate side is improved and can reduce creep a lot.I had an Evo III 16g turbo set to...
Holy crap I didn't see that. That is a crazy investment into engine management... I have nothing negative to say about the deal now. That is easily worth 3500.
This probably isn't the right forum for this but yeah... If there is no rust it's not a bad price. A downside is that you don't know what other issues it has developed since then...A clean looking gst for 3500 is normal for my area. Also, it looks like he knew what he was doing with that mod...
Have someone push the gas pedal down while you watch the cable up by the throttle body. It should be easy to just mess with it and adjust it until the pedal feels ok again. I have done it before. That Bracket you were adjusting was the right spot.Just make sure when you start the car to test...
Tyrese Gibson:"My heart is hurting so bad no one can make me believe this is real
Father God I pray that you send clarity over this cause I just don't understand
My heart hurts it's broken no one can convince me that this is real.... Prayer warriors please pray real hard for his only child...
Just so you know you aren't allowed to post those types of threads in the normal tech forums. We have a specific "bench racing" thread to post in. Here is the link: Official Bench Racing ThreadEdit: Sorry, saw the prob. member tag on you but didn't realize you have been around here for a year...
Wow, that is not bad at all.Not that I had any doubts but I think you are going to get some good results with this. I like what you did with the strakes as well for us "stock routed exhaust" people. I really don't think strakes behind the wheel wells would have been necessary at all without...
That all looks great to me. I circled the part that is confusing me in the pic. If that pic is from the back of the car looking forward, would a ton of air not be getting in where I circled or am I just blind/retarded and not getting what you are saying?
Ok I get it.That area on the drivers side (left side in picture), how do you think air will behave there? Looks like it will come in from there and be on the top side of the diffuser panel to then come out where the exhaust does maybe?I'd be interested in sticking a go pro in there with...
I think that looks really good. It is really hard to tell how the air is going to behave around the subframe panel from the pictures but there are ways to test it out. What angle is this picture in relation to the front/back of the car? Sorry, I can't tell what I am looking at with this one:
