Grind the surface of the bracket that faces the driver's side. This will compensate for how far the alternator moves outward. I did this and stopped the rubbing
The materials with the XTD clutches are poor quality. It truly is worth your time to go with Southbend clutches or another reputable brand. It's a pain to disassemble everything to install a clutch. STD, NOT XTD
I replaced my clutch in 2010 with a "stage 3" XTD clutch. The same thing happened to me. When I removed it a few months later, the clutch disk was was was peeled back where the spring contact points were. I went with Southbend clutches and haven't had a problem since then.
I purchased my 1993 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX in 2010. Since then, I have installed 4 clutches and am on my second transmission with the first having to have the shift fork replaced, before breaking the shift fork again.
I was also plagued with the notorious 1g clutch pedal assembly play and so on...

I have the full front and rear set (calipers, rotors, pads, lines and hardware) that I picked up from Miller import parts. I went with the Evo X, because of the greater heat dissipation. I am in Chattanooga, Tennessee for school, so I want to terrorize the tail of the Dragon. It's a really fun...
The problem sill remains with the Evo IX setup. I have been thinking about just making a template does a backing plate that another caliper can mount to. I have seen some different setups on many other makes. This summer I will do it, because I'm loaded in nursing school right now. I don't even...
Diagnostic you ever complete this install? I've been doing a lot of research and am just leaning towards additional cable Wilwood calipers for for emergency brakes with my Brembos.
I have looked into a hydraulic ebrake, but many manufacturers recommend them not to be used as an actual parking/emergency brake for extended periods of time. I even did research in line locks and came up with the same information. It appears to be a bleeding-by issue. I even considered a...
I just finished reading every post. Great job on the information guys! I have a 1gb, and I have the Evo X Brembos. Is there any further information on the Brembo rear dual caliper for an emergency brake? I would like some information on a possible bracket. This is the route that I want to...
You would only need a balance upon replacing the u-joints and yolk. I just rebuilt mine. It's and insurance policy. They will even throw on a nice coat of paint. Here are some pics after my rebuild.
I am currently running snyder 272's does anyone have input on these. My buddy, who built my motor, swears that they are pretty good, but I haven't heard anyone running 'em.
Keep the same setup as stock. Use the original cap and lines. That's what i did. I shortened the tube that went into the bottle to suck coolant from the bottom of the bottle.
Yeah. Get one with a threaded cap. Avoid anything plastic. I took the plactic cap liner out of mine. This only cost me about $3 with some jb weld that I already had.
I stole the jaffromobile monster can overlfow bottle idea. You can type his name into youtube and he has a video in his channel. The pic is all I have, because it's dark outside. Stupid planetary axis.
My computer class in 2011 required me to write a 2 theses on something computer related. One was on the effect of frequencies, i.e. cell phones and their towers, effecting bee navigation, and the other was on the effects of computer manufacturing and recycling. I know how you feel on someone...
I was driving down the road today, and I noticed a mitsu emblem on a mobile Easter egg. I understand that the money for car manufacturers are allocated in gas-sipping EMF boxes. The kid driving it probably thought that he is really helping the environment. In order to make i Hybrid, 4 times more...
Sorry about the delay. I work and go to school full time.
Your DSM next to an inferior Mitsubishi/Eagle/PlymouthSuch dedication is greatly appreciated. I wish that more grease monkeys had that sort of enthusiasm for the game.
Hammer time. I hammered with a ball peen hammer slightly, until i found a contour that would be appropriate. I wish they had teleportation, so I could ask Scotty to beam me there to give you a hand.

I had to bend in my radiator a bit. Make sure that there is no contact. Rubbing aluminum together will put a hole in one or both of the pressurized systems. The slim fans made i easier to install. I had my radiator out upon installation of the fmic. I made sure the couplers...
I will post some pics of my install, with ac, in the morning to give you guys another POV. I'll also post how I ran my PS cooler loop. I would do it now but its too dark.
I bent the passenger side ac line downward, but the driver side is unable to be moved. I cut a piece of rubber that is a medium between the FMIC and the line. The only problem is that the FMIC bottom is angled slightly forward. I guarantee that if you put washers where the mounting brackets are...
Whoa. I have never seen that. I hope it works out well for you man. Get the evo beehives if your getting a new set of springs (If your springs were compressed)
That shouldn't have any cooling issues. lol Awesome concept. I like the split window/cowl setup even though I'm not sure what it is. Keep up the originality.
