I'm trying to get the caked on carbon off my valves but nothing seems to work. I've used carbon cleaner and a parts cleaning brush, didn't work. I soaked them in diesel and used a tooth brush, didn't work. Any suggestions?
I removed 9 bolts from the flange and the 4 on the turbo. Also removed the power steering pump bracket, but didn't remove the coolant lines. I'll try removing those when I get home today.
So I have all the bolts/studs off of my manifold including the bolts holding on the turbo, but I can't get it off. So I was just wondering if there were hidden bolts that I am not seeing. I looked through my service manual but didn't see anything.
Hey if anyone is interested, I'm trying to put together a group dyno day at National Speed in Wilmington, NC around March. I'm trying to get 7 or 8 cars to go. PM me if you are interested and I'll give you more info!
Hey if anyone is interested, there is going to be an awd mobile dyno at the Myrtle beach speedway for their 2 day drift event. It's $10 to get in and it's only $40 for 3 pulls.
I bought an engine gasket kit, so I'm planning on pulling the engine in October (when it's cooler outside) and replacing everything and cleaning everything up really good. Also replacing the clutch with an act 2100 6 puck.
It came off of an eclipse and is going on a laser. The part of the wing closest to the window looks like it slips underneath the window molding. I just want to make sure what that part looks like before I take the window molding off.
I was just wondering if someone has or could take a close up picture of a 1g wing, where it meets the window. I just got one for my laser and I want to see what I have to do to put it on. Thanks!
Hey if anyone is in the Myrtle Beach area tonight, we are throwing a car meet tonight at Buffalo Wild Wings in Carolina Forest at 9pm. It's open to all cars, PM me if you are coming or need more info!
Hey we are doing our monthly car meet again this weekend, but instead if meeting at a car wash we are going to meet at Buffalo Wild Wings in Carolina Forest at 9pm. Text me if you think you might make it, 843-798-2037.It's this Saturday.
So I went to the dealer and asked for that part by name and part number. They couldn't find it. So they printed this picture out and gave to me.Can someone tell me what number the engine oil cooler o-rings is?
So I know where my leak is coming from but I don't know what the part is call or what gasket it is. It's coming from where the oil filter screws on but the oil filter is tight. I took a picture.
We followed one of the write ups on here to set the timing. Does the ecu get disabled when you pull the mpi fuse? Cause we had to pull that when doing the compression check.
So I bought my 91 laser about 2 weeks ago and finally had the time today to check the compression and timing. Compression checked out good, 150 across all cylinders. When we checked the timing it was set at almost 30 degrees BTDC. So we set it back to 5 degrees BTDC, it idles a lot better but...
Yea we have an 1/8 mile and an oval in two separate places. They do drifting and stuff at the speedway on wednesdays and test and tune at the dragstrip on sundays. Oh also if a good amount of people come out saturday we might go get some grub afterwards.
Ok cool, but just to let you know, we are only usually out there for a couple hours or so. But depending on how many people show up, we will probably stay longer. Also we are trying to set up a Sunday drag strip day. We have a 1/8 mile drag strip here where srt4s supposedly rule the place.
