Happy Birthday to my Baby!!!! 20 years ago I purchased my 1997 Eclipse GST. She has come a long way in that time, rebuilt motor, awd swap, and a ton of new parts. I don't drive her as much as I use to but still love the look and style after all this time!!!!One of my first pictures from 20...
OK everyone, I am working on a new project for the DSM/Evo community and while it is in the very early stages of development there are a few things I need to get from people to see if it will be come possible. I am looking for DSM/Evo videos of drag racing, street racing, auto cross, car...
I have three days to win a photo contest on Facebook that is full of Subarus, help me by clicking on the link below and liking my picture. I am currently in 3rd place behind 2 Subarus , 40 likes behind. For those of you that have already liked it for me on Facebook THANK YOU...
Who ever gets this car is getting a GEM. If you are looking for a GST dont pass this one up. There isn't a car that has been better taken care of than this one!
Love this look and the fender flares are starting to grow on my each time I see them. What modifications did you have to make to the body to add the flares? Any cutting of the body?
I had offers of $200 for mine but since they are becoming harder to find in that condition I tried $300 for mine. Mine were used for 2 years before I took them out for some Corbeau's . I just wasnt quite ready to get rid of them.
Very Nice!!!! I saw a couple people had done this while I was doing research for my AWD swap. Definitely a sleeper and a project that would be fun to do.
As old as some of those posts are they are still very accurate. I completed mine a year or two ago and everything was still very accurate. Keep in mind you need to keep the filler neck hose to the gas tank because it is different sizes from GST to GSX and they don't sell them new anymore...
I may be wrong but I cant imagine a shop rebuilding a motor with performance parts like you listed for only $1500 when pistons, rods and bearings will cost you close to $1000 and that doesn't include any machine work that needs done to the block or crank plus gaskets seals... Then your asking...
There are two ways to position the adapter up or down. If you have a 95 or 96 knuckle than you don't have to grind the knuckle for the adapter to fit in the down position. For 97 and newer the front knuckle was cast differently and means you have to shave part of the knuckle off to get the...
I don't actually have these on my car. I was experimenting with some extras I had laying around to see if I could make some to sell, just haven't had time to really work on it. It is just Carbon fiber vinyl wrapped around the upper molding.
That was originally just part of the drip rail that helped mold it to the body line of the car. Yours are so dry rotted that it is crumbling and coming off. It also looks like you or someone else already painted the chrome section black to cover it. Originally that part your peeling back was...
try changing the plugs first, cheaper than the coils but it could be the coils causing the plug to foul. The car is loosing power and shaking because it is running on 3 cylinders.
How does this car compare to Ricer as far as power? Does STM still have Ricer? I thought it went up for sale a couple of years ago.Love the white and purple and how clean the engine bay is!!!!
How old is your radiator cap? I noticed when the gasket on mine started to wear out that the pressure leak it created caused mine to overflow. Cheap easy fix to try before you get all worried your HG is blown.
So how many people have a 1 owner car that they bought new from the dealer? Just curious how many people out there have had their cars from the beginning. I purchased my 2g new in Aug of 96 and have had it ever since making it 17 1/2 years. Anyone with a 1g?
The process in the link above will work for the 2g as well correct? My car has been siting for over a year and I want to prime the oil before starting her again.
I know its not my DSM but I did my entire Jeep with spray cans from Home Depot, $6 a can 20 cans total = $120. For me it was about being able to change colors when ever I wanted and when I am out in the woods if it gets scratches from branches it hopefully wont scratch the paint.Started...
Anyone have any issues with these and the in car temps? I know a couple I have looked at say not to keep in temps above 120 degrees and since I live in Florida during the summer my in car temps can get over 120 pretty easy when it is parked. I would hate to have one go off because the temps...
