Nice to see a colt on here. I had a baby blue one that had the n/t in it. Was a pretty torque little thing and I got 22-25 mpg in it but I always gave her hell. Your weight is pretty close to what I was at as well. I was at 2700 even with me and 3/4 tank of gas.
No problem! Hopefully I'll see you and the Janesville guys out at the track sometime next year. Wi-dsm needs to actually pull through with a track day.
A guy I know has towed multiple dsms and and a 240 on a big double axle trailer with his late 90's Cummins. Dunno the gas mileage but it pulled em just fine as far as I know.
Edit.
26-2700 at 60 today on 225/45r18's. 95 awd.
Could the difference in getting in the t cases and transmissions make a difference? I don't understand gearing too well so someone correct me if I have my thinking wrong.
Sweet looking car! I want those rims. Whatever you do for a living must pay pretty good to ship a car across country after buying it. Specially a clean Gsx.
I might have to start repaying the favor. I parked away from people but not as much as I should have and now my passenger door looks like it was a target at a driving range. My panda was pretty straight as far as I remember when I got it.
I paid 4k for the my 95 Tsi awd with exhaust lowered and short shifter. 110k on it. Granted it was from a friend but he was asking 5k originally. Just wait. You'll find a good deal.
14b is an upgrade. He's auto which means he's on a 13g.
Buddy of mine ran his 1g into the low 13's on a 14b, 560's, and a 2g maf with a walbro. Pretty impressive for a stock turbo if you ask me.
I was told they don't check a lot of times and was on my way out on Wednesday but they shut down for the rain. I'd like to get a run before it snows. And i know the Janesville cars. Saw em at rsd earlier this year.
From a 420a owner who's building his for boost. Said he'd laugh when my crank walks on me and that he'd love to see me run 20 psi on a stock bottom end. Even when shown videos of the stock block record run he still didn't wanna believe it.
Alright. So it's all just user error. I just didn't know if somehow machining wise they didn't compare to the quality of say hks. If that makes any sense.
I understand what you said. I guess my question should have been why do BC fail when not properly installed compared to like hks or someone else? Maybe I'm just missing the point here. Idk.
Not dsm related but going to go get oil with a friend and a buddy of his that I didn't know.
Friend: what oil should I run in my minivan?
Me: idk. Just throw some cheap 10w30 in it. You don't need much anyways.
Friend: well I was told to run something with letters in it.
Buddy in back seat...
Nope. You shouldn't have to worry about them. They keep piston skirt temperatures down so the engine runs cooler but it shouldn't really effect you.
So wait. Are you rebuilding it to be a turbo motor or just a rebuilt n/t?
