The tranny was fully rebuilt with a shift kit and has approx 10k on it and the lucky buyer will have paperwork to support that. I just prefer the way a 5spd drives over an auto all day. I just used it because it came with the car and I wanted to see if I could get use to an auto.I know the...
I have been reading up on the awd auto to awd 5spd swap and would like to clarify what I have gathered is correct.1. The tcase from my 95 auto is incompatible with a 97 5spd
2. The rear diff is compatible
3. My ecu should be fine as I have ecmlink v3 full
4. I will need the starter off of...
My AFRatioEst reading is not lining up with mw widebands readout at all. I am a little stumped as to how I am to adjust this to line up properly and here is a log showing this. Feel free to point out any other problems that you see.
Yeah I may give them a call to let them know cause I feel like this should never have been an issue. And obviously it will continue to be an issue unless someone does. I will defiantly snap a shot of that port for you when I get them in also.
Ahhh well I guess I'll be placing an order for a fuel lab setup cause I'm a tweak with things possibly going wrong. Peace of mind is a crucial thing and my peace of mind has been taken lol. But I don't understand why it just won't work proper I mean how they gonna sell a faulty product? And if...
I actually don't have a picture of that nor do I honestly know the part number. What I do know is it's the standard install kit from MAP. But if I'm reading correctly the oring should actually go inside the unit and not on the outside at all? Cause I didn't see a way to make them fit in there...
Wow thanks for the information! I will have to look into that because I'm not a fan of relying on the tape. The oring SEEMED alright but it very well may have been bad. Never the less I did try a different oring and it did the same but from what I read it may be the wrong type of oring. Hmmm the...
The thread tape was a winning suggestion thank you. And wanted to throw it out there that honestly that fpr made a huge difference in how my idles and runs. I read on here that the stock fpr would basically be the weak link for fuel but I never knew to what degree! To anyone doing heavy mods...
Thread tape, it never crossed my mind to use that to be honest. The fittings and plugs all fit in perfect though I'm not sure of which one they are it was the fpr+kit from map. I'm going to get that thread tape cause that's the solution I'm sure of it. Thanks a bunch
I purchased a fpr a while back and finally got around to installing to today just to run into an issue, of course. Install went smooth BUT when the car starts the fuel sprays out of the feed line at the regulator. I have tried different o rings and have had the same result. It is an aem fpr and...
Does anyone have any idea? My switch is grounding out all the wires it should, I've checked all the fuses I can find, all the relays are good... Idk I'm lost cause at some point the power is not making it to the headlight relay under the hood and my dash lights do not work.
Just looking for input as to why a few things are not being logged. Airflow, AirflowPerRev, CombinedFT and BoostEst do not seem to change at all. Is this a SD thing?
The problem I'm having is that the exterior and interior lights do not work. The flashers work and break lights work but nothing works with the switch. Everything was fine until I installed the hid kits so I tried it without them and the lights worked fine! Seems simple just remove hid kits and...
Yeah a more then likely cheap fix replaced by a 13oo purchase lol. But yeah if anyone wants it to put in the time I'm not starving so I'd let it go cheap. It's an evo 3 16g and is best used with an external waste gate on the o2 housing.
Decided to go with a new FP green instead of pursuing this any further. Prob just end up selling this turbo or something. But yeah can't wait for the new turbo to come in! Oh and thanks for those who chimed in.
Well here's what I got accomplished with it so far I think there's some hope. Jusmx I will be in touch if I cannot accomplish the rest of my idea tomorrow.
We were trying to get my stud off my hot side and were using a torch and ended up breaking it. Ok that's fine now we tried burning it out and this is what I'm left with..So is this ruined? If so where can I get one?
Well thank you for the input I'll give that a shot.. The panel is already off and I see what your talking about but only see 3 torx heads on the outside securing it.
I am installing a remote start on my talon and was testing my wires for the door locks and it seems only the passenger door responds to the negative pulse I'm sending. Is this a normal response? Also when I use to press the lock on the driver door it would lock the passenger door but it's no...
Looking for someone to mount an intercooler on my 2g. All that is needed is to make some sort of bracket and cut bumper support to mount. I do not have a sawzall or the motivation to do this so my laziness is your new found wealth. Send a txt to (four one two) nine six five - seven two zero...
I am in the process of installing a front mount on my talon and was curious as to what people do about securing the bumper cover. Specifically the bottom of the bumper because after removing the plastic piece in front of the rad I realize the bottom of the bumper bolts on to that. I have been...
Id first rule out incorrect wiring and loose connections on all components. After verifying the wiring is good then rule out the amp. If amp is working properly then that leaves the headunit. Check that all sub settings are what they should be and that the balance/fade are where they should be...
Is it a led or is it incorporated into the gauge cluster? Chances are its part of an aftermarket alarm that is either there and disabled (unhooked) or is left over from a full removal of an aftermarket alarm. The reason the led light is usually left behind is because it's more visually appealing...
I'm not sure of the modules location but a sure fire way to know if it is there is to do the following..1. Roll down your driver window
2. Lock your door and close it
3. Wait for green light to go out (if does not come on lock with key and wait)
4. Once light is out for a few seconds reach in...
Well I got home from work and went to retrieve the vehicle from its den to take it to the shop and ended up calling aaa lol. It's in their hands now cause I did everything but try a different torque converter and they are better equip to get it done quickly. Them teeth on the starting plate have...
Well I narrowed it down to the starting ring on the torque converter. Last night I went to start it and the starter just spun and nothing happened. Out of curiosity I rotated the motor by the crank sprocket bolt to try a different angle and it started up. Didn't sound like it wanted to but it...
This I am well aware of but most can decipher what I mean in relation to the issue. But I did just put the new starter on and all four of the flex plate to torque converter bolts are in but the sound is still there. Its not nearly as bad as it was but its still there while I start the car...
Most vehicles have them all taped together or loomed and when your real lucky both. If you go the route of taking the 12v from the ignition harness (and by that I mean the group of wires containing the 12v you desire) just drop your crash panel and look for the bunch of wires heading up toward...
Look for a white or white/red wire in your ignition wire cluster.. Or just test some wires to see what one will do the trick for you.Worth an add:
In my experience doing 12v installs a constant power source at the fuse box will typically be found on the back of said fuse box. Not saying that's...
Did you test the wires before making the connection to make sure it's the power source you actually wanted? Get a test light or voltmeter and see when that wire gets power and when it looses it.
Flywheel looks fine and there's only two bolts holding the starter and they seem to be holding it just fine. I wouldn't think that one out of four bolts holding the drive plate to the torque converter would knock it that out of whack, but maybe?
