I don't understand why you think the CPS will only make one coil not work, I'm looking at a diagram right now and it goes straight to the ecm. What are your readings at the coil?
Did you check primary and secondary resistance of the coils? did you check too if you have 12 volts into the coil?As a general rule diagnose it. Don't throw parts at it that people say they, they cant see or feel the car. A DMM and a wiring diagram are gonna be your best friend.
With aluminum I find if you use a small propane torch and gentle heat the bottom of the bolt, im not talking red hot, just hot enough. Then put the torch down, and dose the top of the bolt with pb blaster, pb blaster goes to the heat and gets lubricant to the threads. Dont diss this method until...

I am going to describe my short DSM life from the first vehicle. In early 2011 I traded my 1998 Ford Escort zx2 for a 95 Eagle Talon Tsi AWD that had problems to say the least. It was a nice DSM to tinker on and learn from, But in the end it was parted out. After a year or so I was in...
The oil stayed in because the shafts were in, They just weren't seated due to the axle bracket had fallen off (because it was rigged on). We are taking the bracket off and be doing it right, rear end might have suffered but I think its due able for now. We've driven it around it is actually...
