  1. 2G custom mechanical fuel pump help!

The pump in the pictured is the Aeromotive hex drive.https://www.aeromotiveinc.com/product/billet-hex-drive-fuel-pump/The regulator is the associated one for the big mechanical drive pumps.https://www.aeromotiveinc.com/product/belt-drive-pump-efi-regulator/The coupling insert comes from...
  2. 2G max hp of stock crank

Safe? Crankshafts have failed at stock power levels.Stock crankshafts have been used to make a metric ass-ton of power in good setups.700HP wouldn't concern me at all so long as it is a good crank. I use one at 900+HP.If you have the Eagle, why not use it?
  3. 1000hp turbo?

GT4202 will do it.I'm really close, but no 4 digit sheet... Yet.
  4. Anyone use an HKS/OnGreenPerformance divided T4 with any success?

I ran one of the OnGreen Performance manifolds for a number of years. I piped the wastegate forward and to the drivers side of the bay. The turbo was a GT4202R and worked well.I could probably find some old Link catalogs and pictures if I looked hard enough.
  5. ecuflash and E85

A dyno sheet works for credentials here. Where's yours?Stoich for E85 is about 9.7:1, not 19:1. I that were the case we'd all get 40MPG and be able to make big power on small injectors.I'm another that has had E85 in the tank for a while (working on 7 years) and I have not once had any...
  6. GT42 in a 92 TSI

Either way, it almost hurts. I think there is some of the best, and some of the worst advice I've ever seen on a DSM forum in this thread.Starting small and working larger, as a few mentioned, is the best way to learn. If you really want to fast track to a 70+mm inducer turbo under the hood...
  7. List your PTW clearances

Wiseco HD. Stock bore. .006" PTW. 2.0L E85 900+WHP @43psi. Has been past 50psi. with no trouble.
  8. 5th Annual Northeast DSM Meet- MARK YOUR CALENDARS

I'll be out. Planning on arriving by 10am so if the site changes please update this thread Brian. We'll see if I can make the round trip with no issues in a high HP DSM again this year, or if I have to take it home on a hook. Lol.
  9. Is anyone using GM Maf on stock 2g TB elbow?

Diameter changes that close to the GM MAF are not your friend.
  10. 5th Annual Northeast DSM Meet- MARK YOUR CALENDARS

I'll probably come out again this year. It while be nice not to hear the heckling about putting my car on the 2 step though. The park doesn't have to let us do this meet every year, but it's a nice area and I'd like to go back years to come.
  11. introducing my self wanting to make my name

Go buy a house, that's a decent down payment.
  12. Why is it EVO's make better use of larger turbos?

Trust me, it's fun, though it seems a high HP DSM isn't for you.
  13. Why is it EVO's make better use of larger turbos?

The high HP street driven DSMs are around, just overlooked. ;)
  14. First trip to the dyno in a long time. 900+HP on E85.

Yeah, it was a 2wd DynaPack, but it's owned by a friend. Before last week we were sure that the dyno would not handle the power the car produced. Derek contacted me and let me know that they had updated the firmware on the machine and it should handle the car. Of course I expect different...
  15. Shootout Heli

Unfortunately, no, I can't bring one to Ohio for the weekend, the thought is entertaining though. If you'd like to rent one, I'll fly it. I'd even let you have the controls. :)
  16. Shootout Heli

Real helicopters are much more fun. ;)
  17. 4th Annual Northeast DSM Meet- MARK YOUR CALENDARS

I gotta check my schedule but I'm going to try to bring the red car out again.Hopefully the dude that brought his car on a trailer, did a 2 gear pull through the park and put the car back on the trailer and left will stay home this year.
  18. Airforce DSMs?

Thanks for your service guys!Basic is something that will suck while doing it, but when you look back years later you'll remember it as a good time. For you Army guys, drop your Warrant packet and don't look back.
  19. HRC Super 25G turbo turbo sizing compared to GT35R or GT37R ?

Where you'll be flamed to death for asking such a question in the FI section and being a noob, and no relevent data will be given other than, "take it to a shop."I'm just sayin'.;)
  20. 3rd Annual Northeast DSM Meet- MARK YOUR CALENDARS

I had a good time too, I'm glad I was able to make it.205 miles round trip, it didn't miss a beat and net right at 20MPG on E85. I can't call it an 800HP car as it hasn't been on a dyno since 2007 where it made 620 on 27psi. I do have a datalog from the drive home that shows 49.9psi of...
  21. 3rd Annual Northeast DSM Meet- MARK YOUR CALENDARS

I was finishing up a little bit of tuning on the red car today. It should make the ~100 mile drive with no issues. I even did a map recon of E-85 stations in the area.I guess I really don't need the boost set at 48psi, but it's nice to know what's under your right foot.I'll see you guys...
  22. Anyone in the military?

It will be the best move you've ever made.
  23. Anyone in the military?

I'm sorry you feel you have to insinuate your elevated status and attempt to tarnish the job title of men and women who work very hard and take much pride in their work because they don't ride along in the back.Good job being that guy. Also, AH/OH crew chiefs occupied the front or left...
  24. Anyone in the military?

Thanks for your service!I have almost 13 years in the National Guard.Started as a AH-1F repairer and crew chief, then OH-58C, and then AH-64A.Now I'm A CW2 and trained to fly the AH-64A Apache and the AH-64D Apache Longbow. I wouldn't trade it for anything.
  25. Recipe for ~10000rpm?

Pretty much what he says.Honestly, I can't see a reason to have to rev out to 10KRPM with a 6265, you'd just be beating up parts and your bank account. With that turbo used in a max efficiency setup, you would probably never have to go past 8500RPM.Now a huge, laggy turbo that you...
  26. Flying!

UGH, instruments!I also fly, which is fun, but it gets even more entertaining once you start sending ordinance down range.I'm still amazed that the brain can be trained to operate an aircraft with one eye and a low resolution FLIR image.I may have a nice video from BWS in the...
  27. HOW BAD ARE YOUR DSM's STREET MANNERS?

No kidding Kris, "go fast with class," is gone and honestly, this thread makes me laugh.I'd rather see people brag about street driving sleeper looking extreme setups, not climbing on the top of a mountain and screaming what parts they have removed from their car.I know mine looks pretty...
  28. White Marsh Meet 2009

Might bring my red car down.Sounds like it's going to be a good turnout.
  29. Red 2g **Sign-In** All Red 95-99 DSMs

Mine is stock.Color, for the most part. And yes, the sticker does say asskicking provided by DSMLink.
  30. trying to get a meet together in lancaster

Lancaster is within my range. There is a meet every Sunday night at the Brownstown Sonic for any vehicle, and there is also a meet every Thursday night at Brothers Pizzaria in Harrisburg. The Harrisburg meet has been pretty busy lately, PM for info.
  31. What Turbo is this? [Merged] Turbo ID Identification

Am I seeing things because I'm exhausted and it's late? You guys be the judge.I seem to barely be able to make out a 42. That would indicate a big 16G, though the compressor retention nut looks strange to me. I have never seen one like that on a Mitsu turbo, but I haven't looked at...
  32. 3.5 and 4'' exhaust for gsx and gst

Actually, I have more ground clearance with my homemade 4" than my old Apex'i Dunk 3".
  33. What's YOUR daily driver?

04 G35 Coupe, built engine, twin turbo and the such running 14psi right now. It's a good time.
  34. For the doubters on here.....

I agree about the innovation back in the day, however, there isn't much new happing in the DSM world. There are many products designed to take the guesswork out of selecting parts. Personally, I think this is a good thing and I see no issue with it at all. Why care if someone wants to spend...
  35. 4G63T Head oil port mod

Oil travels around the bottom of the flywheel end stud on the exhaust side of the head, exactly where that picture shows. The bottom is sealed by the deck surface and the head gasket, the top by the bolt head, or washer if using studs. Here is a diagram from the 90-91 FSM that shows that oil...
  36. wheres all the PA people

    I'm in the Mechanicsburg area.
  37. Got bikes?

07 R6S. I relocated to lower Alabama for some Army training, looks like I'm going to be able to ride year round down here. :p
  38. 10.74@144 in the 1/4th Friday, 6.85@114 in the 1/8th Sunday.

Probably South Mountain since it's so close. You can do "time" runs and probably get at least 5 runs in for $25.Once you get launcing the car down, the main difference between the 1/8th and the 1/4 is one shift, and slowing down. :)
  39. 10.74@144 in the 1/4th Friday, 6.85@114 in the 1/8th Sunday.

You probably live less than 10 minutes from me.Beaver Springs is known to be a bit of a slow track, though I can't say for sure because I've never had my car down another 1/4 mile track. I am usually .3-.5sec faster in the 1/8th mile at South Mountain, that seems to be pretty consistant over...
  40. Another BOMB 60ft

I need to learn to 60' like you. Good job.
  41. 10.24@138

That launch picture is great. My buddy keeps trying to talk me into an auto. It seems like they really work well at the dragstrip.Sweet car.
  42. 10.74@144 in the 1/4th Friday, 6.85@114 in the 1/8th Sunday.

It spins a bit in 1st gear, not as much as I thought it would, but hooks up pretty good after that. I think it's a combination of both. I also think my learning curve is pretty good for 7 passes in 3 years, espeically on a setup like this. :DOf course, I'm not launching *very* hard because...
  43. 10.74@144 in the 1/4th Friday, 6.85@114 in the 1/8th Sunday.

I made it to South Mountain, the local 1/8th mile backwoods redneck track Sunday. Results are as follows.First pass.60ft 2.00 1/8th [email protected] pass.60ft 2.02 1/8th [email protected] told me (even wrote it on my timeslip) I needed a fire retardant jacket if...
  44. 10.74@144 in the 1/4th Friday, 6.85@114 in the 1/8th Sunday.

After 3 years of not racing I made it up to Beaver Springs in central PA Friday night. I learned that I need a lot of practice getting the car off of the line, and some safety equipment.Setup is:96 GSX.Pictures.2.0 bored .020" with Ross pistons and Groden rods. FRH race...
  45. Finally made it to the track with my new setup

That is exactly what my 1/8th time was last night, my first run in years and with a new setup.I was just about 24MPH faster than you though. :coy:Good job! Looks like it deffinately has a 12sec pass in it.
  46. Boost response with a SF GT42 kit

I've had both in the ball bearing version on the exact same setup, (the turbo was the only change) there was no discernable difference in spoolup.I can even buy that it is a 42R on a 2.3 in that video. Response looks good to me.
  47. 4094R fittment

A 42R will fit the HKS manifold with the stock radiator and trimmed stock passenger side fan. The extra core thickness of the aftermarket radiator may cause problems with a 42R compressor cover, but the 40R compressor cover (that I think the 4094R uses) should be a tad smaller and offer you a...
