Ive searched and searched. I have a 96 GST, i replaced the timing belt and water pump recently, and noticed i could never line up the timing marks, i was barely able to get everything to be near perfect but wasnt perfectly aligned, i thought maybe my timing was off or is it always like that...

Bleeder style boost controller, has one spring and ball inside. Has two nipples on it top one goes directly to the wastegate and the bottom nipple goes to a boost source, on the opposite side of the wastegate nipple these a small needle size hole.

Your defiently getting a random misfire but maybe not as obvious enough enough to throw a code, check the cables and spark plugs go on the easy stuff first before you go big.

It could possibly be a vacuum leak...or your cables are somehow getting stuck for some reason no way to really tell...but you should definitely looking leaks and possibly your TB not closing all the way..
