I'm looking for 2gb door caps. (still) we had spoke recently about 2 sets and they broke during removal. if you can get these ones off with out breaking ... i'm very interested.
I've searched, and can't seem to find any info directly associated with my problem. I have a '95 GS-T with 5spd transmission. The other day I went to pull my car out of the garage and noticed that my tachometer was inoperative! I'm wondering if there is a resistance test I can use or howI should...
ok I've read all the posts and all I can figure is that you're timing jumped or your cas is bad. Did you ever actually take the timing covers off and verify that your tensioner is good and that your belt is still tight? Have you tried another cas yet? Sounds like your getting fuel, air and spark...
95 eclipse gst... paid cash and still own it to this day. Have had it since I was 17 (2002). have put three trans in it and 2 engines. I'm going to be buried in this car lol
Just installed my MHI big 16g today along with tubular o2 housing and hallman pro boost controller. On my first test drive WHAM 20+psi. It scared the crap out of me hahaha. I loved the feeling but knew something wasn't right. After turning the nob on my MBC several times trying to adjust it, it...
what are his mods? Check for air, spark and fuel. Try to get more details of how the car felt when it lost power also, was he getting on it? Sitting at idle? Normal cruising hwy speeds?
Since you don't know many people in your area with DSM's and your likely not going to tackle this project yourelf, I recommend you get a couple of estimates and explanations and then even search the forums after that to compare results. Consult some fellow members on here and what not then make...
I myself am looking at getting either theseBC Racing B-01 BR Coilovers Talon, Eclipse | eBayor theseMegan Racing MR-CDK-ME95 Mistsubishi Eclipse Coilovers | eBay:thumb:In the link above it doesn't state whether or not those Yonaka's come with pillow ball mounts or not... so...
How often is it sputtering? under heavy boost? at idle? If it does it continuosly and you've already done a boost leak test and everything seems in order, try checking your plugs and wires. Maybe one of them took a crap.
The GMAF's I see in the classifieds on here are typically pretty beat up and used. I've also seen some on Ebay in excellent to mint condition for around $70 plus the purchase of a translator will be in order ($100-$200) That's a reasonable amount of money if all your really wanting to do is get...
Yeah well she's a work in progress. (Aren't they all?) haha. I feel so proud to be a part of something like this where everyone is an inspiration and not just sticking autozone stick-on vents on their car like all the honda's around here!
:nono: Don't waste your money just yet. This noise could be a multitude of things. I suggest you have a local dsm'er look at it or take it to a trust worthy shop in your local neighborhood before you condemn the engine. Also if your not very mechanic saavy I suggest you get multiple opinions and...
I am still trying to decide which I prefer! I love the look of this AEM gauge! However I have nothing against using the Autometer boost gauge I already own and a hallman or other manual boost controller.
haha just threw the plastic bag out there because i've seen it too many times. ## right you would definately smell it more often than "only when accelerating".
However, I agree with black widow, check exhaust leaks. Definately want to fix that exhaust hanger Stud. Hard to torque a stud that...
Wow I'm sorry to hear such terrible news! I'm curious also as to what they "did" to fix the belt tension. Sounds to me like the might have made it a bit to tight for it to snap! Well hopefully you will pick up a set of wrenches and learn how to DIY. It's honestly the best way to go man and save...
As you can see there are multiple ways to go about fixing your problem. If you decide to go with a different bov I suggest checking the latest classified ads on this site. I got a good type s valve for $70 and have seen 1st gen bov's on there going for around $50.
I'm also running the Greddy piping on my side mount. However, I'm using the Greddy Type- S bov and love it! No rubbing at all let alone a dent in my hood. :thumb:
I say ditch (sell) the hks valve and adapter and get a greddy bov or stock 1st gen bov. You can get these all day on here from $50-$150. This way no butchering and will be cheaper than getting new uicp! good luck and keep us updated :thumb:
It does look very similar to many Evo LSD's I've seen. However these parts look a lot alike and are sometimes very hard to destinguish from other LSD's from other cars. Where did you come accross it? Good luck man.
There's a couple different meets every saturday in North Austin/ Cedar Park area ... let me know when you want to go and we could me up and roll in there :hellyeah:

I've ran my car down the track a few times (unfortunately i did not keep the time slip) but if you keep any washer fluid in your windshield washer fluid resevoir it helps to drain and/or remove it. (if you haven't already). I usually take everything that is loose out of the car also.
ie...
YOU GUYS STILL TRYING TO GET A MEET TOGETHER? WE COULD ALL MEET UP AND CRUISE AROUND AND HIT SOME DIFFERENT SPOTS. REPLY IF YOU GUYS ARE STILL DOWN AND WE'LL GET SOMETHING TOGETHER:thumb:
I'm looking for a greddy type rs bov or a translator. What do you want for the translator. Is your set up still available and if so, how much do you want for it?
try block testing it... it's a tool that has a rubber cone that stabs in where the radiator cap is, then a clear cylinder that u fill with a special liquid to a line, then a cap and you squeeze the ball on the cap that creates a suction in the liquid and it detects exhaust gas in the coolant...
