Having a later 7 bolt I would stick with what you have. 6 bolt engines don't just drop in you have to do some additional work to do it.

You can get the bolts out of the bearing because the will hit the axle. Even if you could it wouldn't help the situation. The axle is froze in the bearing and the knuckle is caught in the middle. Last time I had to deal with this I put it on a 42 ton press and all I could do is bend the knuckle.
