He already has the car, he said he already picked it up.OT: I would go ahead and find a new block and start fresh. If the old block checks out good you can start putting together a spare block in the meantime.
The best advice I could give you in this situation is pretend the "New Thread" option doesnt exist and spent a few days searching for the answers.More than one of your recent post have been covered in detail prior to you joining.A forum isnt designed to be a quick answer outlet. It is...
When my car behaves and idles at ~800 RPMs my rearview is vibrating like I had subs. It seems to be the nature of 1g's. It does smooth out ~1100 RPMs for me.
I have one of the cheaper habor freight dremels, thing just likes to bite and the motor isnt strong enough to keep up with the torque. I wanted something that would do the Front mount job with somewhat ease. Have you guys cut through similar metal as the radiator support with the craftsman?
I have a Short Route VRSF FMIC for my 1g sitting in the box still because I cant seem to get my dremel to work for the job I need as far as cutting the holes for the piping to go through the support. Can you recommend a cost effective dremel that is electric and would do the job well...
Assuming you have the supporting modifications for 280's already on the car, you should already have some form of tuning in place. If not, then you are going about it in the wrong direction.
So my slave cylinder is completely dead. It leaks fluid faster than I can pour more in. So I went down to my local parts store and looked for a new one since I didn't really want to wait for one to ship. I had the understanding that it was temporary and I wanted an OEM one. Well I basically tell...
So why didn't you answer him? I assume you think you were helpful in some way?@OP: The bumper is fixable, but its going to happen again and again with those cheap fiberglass kits. The material is either hard and brittle or way too flexible for the paint to not crack. Its your choice to fix...
*Update*I didnt find any parasitic draw with my VM, I did find a problem though. Basically when I hook up jumper cables from a charged battery and I can start the car immediately. When I remove the jumper cables the car will run for a few minutes and shots off. At the point I check the...
Ok guys so I have ran into a problem with my car that needs to be resolved as quicky as possible. As always I appreciate any help or advice.Recently I woke up and wanted to go for a drive. I went to turn the car on and got a click. Batery was dead as they come. So I pop the hook and check...
An ember from a cigarette will ignite gasoline, thats a fact.As far as shooting flames from an exhaust, whats the point. Asking a question on a forum dedicated to people who are car enthusiast, not fanboys, about shooting "fake" flames out is just outright dumb.
I think the price on the 2nd one is a little high, My car is pretty much the same with a few less miles, and a few small mods and I have it up for 2500.
If anyone ever ran me off the road on purpose, the cop wouldnt be writing me a ticket for trespassing. I would be in bracelets. That farmer would have found justice on the spot.
Only thing I could think of would be the cut the hose in half and put some type of "U" in place. It could be plastic or metal but something that comes bent and wont kink.
You are on an internet forum, no one is "Coming at you". Thats high school, not the real world. Take what advice you get for whats it worth. If you dont want opinions, save the post.
Call me old fasioned but if something is #1 on my list I usually have the patience to save up and get what I want instead of settling for #2,3, or 4. Get what you want, not what you think is "ok" for a number figure.
If you have no port for a cable to go into the phone(unlikely) then you can use a USB device called a Card Reader - Made for Micro SD or SD cards out of cameras. Of course this would mean your phone would have an SD card that is removable and the pictures were being stored on it.
I thought they were out of business? I assume if the site is up and running they are back in business?I just noticed all of the items arent in stock so I guess I was right in the regards to them being out of business still. Does anyone know of a company producing a similar product to make the...
Can someone point me in the right direction to get my tach to work correctly after swapping a 91 ECU into my 1990 GSX. It jumps around and doesnt work properly at all. I have read that I can swap in a 91 cluster but I was wondering if there is anything else I can do to get it to read properly...
People stopped revving at me a long time ago sinply because I always gave them the same answer. Meet me at the track on friday and bring 500 bucks, ill pay your way in.
Was referring to what he said. He seems to think it invloves more. I read the vfaq.com and it said 6 and 14 going from 91 to 90 and 90 to 91. It didnt show a difference. I was just going to see if he had some verification to back up what he said.
So I did some searching and have literally read every idle thread there is. My car was idling ~2500 RPM's and was hard to start and ran rough. I did the normal troubleshooting. BISS, ISC, etc. and when it came down to me throwing parts at the car I decided to try a different ECU. This ECU is out...
Might be a little "ghetto" but I used a truck and chain to pull my car up onto a trailor. Same concept as a wench with a little more force. Also comes with the risk of messing something up.
Considering that he is asking about a swap one would assume that would include a head. Any motor than has spun a bearing usually requires the head to be decked/cleaned and reassembled. Why spend the extra money at a machine shop when he can buy a longblock and not worry about it.As with most...
I have a small metal rod that I sit down in cylinder one for testing purposes. You can see when you rotate the crank it will get to its highest point. I usually do about 10-15 rotations so I can get a feel for exactly when it starts to go back down. Best way to ensure TDC for Cylinder 1 in my...
You said you can push it up so it allignes correctly. Why not just slot the holes where the original bolt goes and use a washer and bolt to hold it at the new point. That way you can adjust it when need be. Seems a lot easier than cutting the support.
Doing a burn out on street tires hurts you, it doesnt help you. With heat slicks become sticky, the opposite goes for street tires. Street tires become slick with heat so doing a burn out is pretty damn dumb.
How did you paint the intercooler? Using conventional spray paint really is the worst possible way to do it considering it does effect the amount of cooiling the fins can accomplish. I understand not wanting a flashy intercooler but killing efficiency while doing it is a bad idea.
