the codes should be stored as a pending code if you have a reader or go buy a datalogger. there super cheap now a days and just leave it plugged in until it brings up the codes and tells you.

the first one looks to be your best option as its clean, low mileage, unmolested and the best looking in my opinion. it also seems to have less wrong with it and things less likely to go wrong as no one has had there tooner hands in there yet.

fuel pump.. i think that means the fuel pump isn't seeing a consistent 12V for the most part. do you have an aftermarket fuel pump or at least a re-wire kit? maybe the battery was dead for to long and isn't charged all the way.

freshly built motor i run rotella 15w40 even in the winter. these motors love the thicker oil, now that its summer im thinking some 20w50edit: i would also think about checking the crank to be sure its in spec because usually a lifter tick goes away as the motor increases in rpm's

if the water pump is bad you should drive it at all. you drive it that far you'll overheat and blow the head gasket. have it towed or fix it the right way. it could also be a bad heater core and thermostat.

if you dont have a timing belt cover get one. there is no need for it to be exposed like that.as for the heat sheilds you need both. the lower one is extremely important as it keeps heat from your alternator, there for prolonging its life. the upper shield is also a really good idea...
