John replies quick and helped me trouble shoot a couple of things installing the PiLink.I have an old AppRadio 3, which outputs 800x480. I tried setting that on the video settings but for some reason it would not work.
I figured I'd connect my tablet straight to my radio via HDMI to see what...
Feal 441 here on 10k/6k .I've had them since 2014, they are a definite upgrade from the Teins I had before. Like mentioned above when I first got them I couldn't close that finger gap, but I sent them back to them within the week and they did some work on them to get it to where I wanted.
Still...
What could be the cause of bent intake valves on only one cylinder (cyl 4) ? No marks on piston head, just the slightest slightest bend on the valves, just enough to make taking those valves a little harder than the rest. Never revved past 7300 and am on supertech dual springs so I'm thinking it...
I can't seem to find anything on transmissions on your site, just the t-case upgrade. Also, is it a standard rebuild or upgraded tranny?Good to know. More options are always better. So far I was debating between TMZ & TRE.
You should be fine, until you decide to drop it lower. Dyesuperman is pulling off 18x9.5 + 35 on 255 series tires and he's pretty low himself.I have 18x9.75 + 20 but I'm using baby 225 series tires at the moment, but I'm "slammed" and into that kind of look.
I partake in spirited driving, but there's not many places to corner hard in my town. I couldn't tell you if it's good or bad, it just feels normal. No, I don't have a camber kit. It's just at the natural camber it gets when dropped. I think it's around -2.3 or something last time I checked...
Yup. I'm pretty sure they're based of WedsSport TC105N and those in similar size are around 16 - 17 lbs.Well I don't have any wheel gap. I'm actually tucking a hair of tire, lol. I've never actually measured how much drop I have from stock either, so I couldn't say. I just dropped it to what...
Lmao no problem. Sadly they're kind of on the heavy side at around 21lbs according to google. But that's expected with a 10in wheel knock off haha. I'll go weigh one when I get home.
Haha I just noticed my brother posted a pic up of my olddddd setup a while back.& a slightly more recent one. I'll get a better picture soon of this setup.
Here they are in 18x9.75 +20
No spacers. Slight roll & pull required. No I don't rub at all.
Yes I can go over regular speed bumps without trouble.
I have them on Nitto 555 18/225/40 .
I would have gone out to meet you guys but I saw Teds car for a second then it was gone so I wasn't sure. You guys were parked towards the rear left?
I was parked somewhat in the middle so I couldn't really see anyone. Congrats on the time man! Hopefully I have Ted tune my car before the next...
Swapped the 8 blade 35 to a 6 blade 40! But I need to get a bigger coupler for the intake to inlet. Dumb vband. :( I don't want to grind it down like I did the 35's.
That's the thing, even when I did according to this post, http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/articles-drivetrain/213503-how-properly-bleed-your-hydraulic-clutch.html, it still did the same thing. So I went ahead and replaced the slave and master, readjusted it according to jacks videos, and...
So, I got around to getting the engine together. Car starts, great! On attempt to driving it though, I noticed that the gears wouldn't go in. Duh. Forgot to adjust the clutch rod. So I adjusted it according to Jack's videos. Gears go in pretty well now, so that's a plus. Now, the clutch...
Haha no he's right, I had put a slightly longer bolt and it scraped the purple off of it making that black line :( The belt is fine, but i'll still get a replacement soon.
Thanks man. Haha just cheapo Rust-Oleum paint. Stripped it all, sanded it, shaved it, primer, primer filler, and flat black. Thanks!Excuse the Iphone Pictures.
Any of you guys know of a good/reliable place to get the full job done? Looking around San Jose Area or 209, but anywhere will do. Hot tank, 3 angle, all that? =) I want to take it to a reputable place and get to know the guys and all that. Thanks in advanced!
http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/newbie-forum/442649-2g-jays-racing-electro-p-steering.htmlYou can try what was suggested to me, using a 32" belt from the water pump to crank, and the belt you already have from the alternator to crank is fine. Autozone, O'reilly's auto, etc should have them.
Yeah that's the one in question, lol. This is for later down the road, since his car is and has been a project car for a while. Just trying to help him out though, and it seems the t4 is the way to go. Thank you all for the quick response!
My brother just got his hands on one of these, looking at the best options for an exhaust housing. Opinions, where to find? ;)
Thanks in advanced, and sorry if this isn't the right place to post this. :hmm:
Well it seems the obvious answer is TedSpec.
Expect a pm from me relatively soon turbodsm90! Well as soon as I drop the motor back in, lol.
And thank you all for the quick replies. Much appreciated:)
Hey, I was wondering if you all knew about the best places to get the dsm tuned. Running ECMlink. I'm willing to drive all thoughout Cali, but anywhere local is preferred. I'm located about 30 mins from Modesto, and an hour from San Jo to give a rough estimate haha. Shoot me the locations though...
I have the 2g jays racing alternator kit, and plan to run an electro power steering from an mr2 instead of our stock one. In this case, I don't know which belts go to where. The alternator to crank would work fine, but then what about the water pump to crank? Could I get a long enough belt to...
Yeah my brother lent me it from his crx to get the DSM running quicker, as I'm saving for a 6262. For a $60 difference I'm wondering if I should jump onto the higher pressure plate right now, & whether it would compromise the driveabilty (spelling?) compared to the lower pressure plate. It seems...
i figured i would post here instead of creating a new thread.
im looking to upgrade the clutch flywheel etc, as my stock is burnt lol.
i just finished building my engine too, and am looking to get around 500whp with a hx35.
eventually id like to step it up, but for now thats the goal.so my...
