Alright, need some help with this one. I've done a few timing belts in the past (15+ years ago). I bought a 2g with a broken timing belt and have been rebuilding it. I'm now at the point where I'm putting the timing belt back on and I can't make it fit for the life of me, seems like it has a...
Hello, been a long time since I've posted, but looking to get back into dsm's. I'm currently looking at a 97 gst, but the owner lost the keys. The engine doesn't run and I'm getting it very cheap. The problem is I have to tow it, so will get a car hauler trailer. With no keys the steering wheel...
-1st off, I can't get my dattalogger to work, my computer doesn't have a serial cable and other computer's I've tried it on won't recognize the palm hotsync. (After the Palm pilot dies, you loose the pocketlogger software and have to re-upload it.)-My dsmchips ecu chip has the original...
First off, this is not a thread asking the difference between AWD and FWD. What I was wondering is how much power will be lost in an AWD. Like when I'm driving down the highway in my FWD turbo I'll gun it and the car will accelerate like nuts. But how much different is an AWD from a rolling...
OK, I have a MBC and have the basic idea of how to install it, just run a sylicone hose from the acctuator to the MBC, then from the MBC to a pressure source on the turbine housing. Also, I know I have to remove the factory BCS, would anyone know how to go about doing this? Any help would be...
The MAS looks exactly like the one on vfaq. Maybe I'll grab the number off it & take it to the chrysler/mitsu dealership and see what its from. All honeycombs are intact & undamaged. I just grabbed my logger to go test it quick, and the batteries are dead:cry: Yeah, that's how much I drive...
haha, definatly not. I just have a datalogger right now. I would like to get a DSM link, but the price of them is just too much right now. I've only put on about 150km's since I dyno'd the car(I rarely drive it). The only thing I've done is play with the biss, and the SAFC low-throttle...
Just one thing to note, which I appoligize and should have cleared on my first post, is that my Walbr 255 pump is sitting in my shed right now. I've owned it for 3 years, but havn't had the time to install it. Its a big job to re-wire the whole system, and with my career, I just can't get...
Per your questions on 1, 2, and 3, I had my car professionaly tuned on the dyno, they set the SAFC from idle to WOT. SAFC settings will be a bit different for every car & setup. The FPR is not being overrun, this was also adjusted on the dyno. For the intercooler pipes, after the dyno I...
My 02 Sensor is brand new, havn't checked the ISC though, may be something to look at replacing, also the alternator has quite a few miles on it, So I'll try that as well, I'm sure I can find a used one cheap.
So here's my delema. Once the car gets to its operating temperature, whenever I push the clutch in, the engine just drops to 0rpm & dies, and if it doesn't die, it's struggling to keep idle. It all started after I did a lot of work to the car- 2G mas, new IC piping/intercooler, intake pipe...
Sorry, couldn't find anything by searching. I just got some brand new Hawk brake pads for a 92 given to me. Just wondering if the rear pads from a 92 will fit on a 91. I know that the 92's had dual piston calipers & the 91's have single-piston ones.Any help would be appriciated.Thanks.
What do you think is wrong with the cable? Is their power going to the logger? I had the problem once where my power cable was just loose in my fuse box. Check that first. If it still doesn't work, I wouldn't personaly recomend making your own cable, but if you insist, strip the outer...
I think he's just refering to either the small or big 16G.I have an EVO III 16G in my car & I have to say, it was one of the best mods I've done(I did however get all the supporting mods done FIRST). I didn't notice any drivability diferences at all.
Truthfully, you won't see a big difference between the two as far as spool up goes. Unless you realy watch the tach, its not going to make a bid difference. The top end you will feel a bit more, but still fairly minimal.
I disagree 100%, IMHO, the DSM 1G seats are some of the nicest out their. Especialy the black leather ones-here's mine:http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/11/web/515000-515999/515857_31_full.jpghttp://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/11/web/515000-515999/515857_33_full.jpg...
I have 2-one is for sale. Only problem is, no mater where you live, your probably still very far away from me.http://www.nacdsm.org/gallery/v/Matts-Galery/album51/Car_parts_sale_007.jpg.htmlhttp://www.nacdsm.org/gallery/v/Matts-Galery/album51/Car_parts_sale_008.jpg.htmlBra is in...
Couldn't find any pics where the colors matched up good, one was in cloudy conditions & the other was a flash. but the ones posted above are at least the same angle. Thanks
Could someone please chop a 92+ front onto my 91? The quarter pannels, hood & bumper. Here are a couple pictures. Thanks a lot :thumb:http://dsmlife.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=1934http://www.nacdsm.org/gallery/v/Coreys-Album/side.jpg.html
Thanks a lot, I started my last post, went to eat super & didn't realize you had posted. Yeah, my amp has a built-in crossover. Thanks :thumb:edit:Wow, now I'm confused, your other post is gone. lolThanks a lot though, realy appriciated!:thumb:
I appriciate the quick reply, but I don't think that goes for me. The four pre-amp outs I have on the deck are RCA's right out of the deck. The problem I have is how to/if I can use those 4 pre amps to hook up my amp which has 2 inputs.Would I be able to just use the rear pre-amp outputs...
OK, first off, I'm not very inclined when it comes to car audio. I have a Panasonic CQ-C3300U head unit, which does not have a sub-out. It does however have L & R Pre-amp output connectors for the front & rear. I bought a 2-channel amp a while ago hoping to run a single sub(at the time...
My boost guage shows ~-20 vac @ idle, so their shouldn't be a problem their.I took the BOV off today, when I pushed in the diaphram its almost like it stuck, then poped free once enough force was put on it. I'm not sure if maybe when the car sits long enough, the rubber seal sticks to the...
I have just installed a Type RS BOV & whenever I let the gas off, even if I'm just under the hood controlling the throttle, I can hear a surging/fluttering sound from the air filter.
I set the spring as soft as it will go, but it made no difference. All of my vac lines are hooked up fine & I...
Just a quick question, will seats from a 93 Talon bolt directly into a 91? I found some leather seats that I want to swap in for my cloth ones. I don't see why they would be any different.Once this question is answered, this thread can be closed. Thanks a lot!
Cutting it out is the best way, but you could use a die grinder or a dremmel and use a wire brush and try getting most of it off. Then use POR 15 on it, I used it on my car and the rust hasn't spread since. DON'T just use paint, sorry Dr3wStx, but its something I don't agree with, just...
I thought these guys were actually good at paint jobs, but they're just copying them from a computer. Mine are done with what was available from the game.
Considering its Forza's first try as opposed to GT's 4th try, I've got to give Forza credit. I've played both games, and personaly like the imersion better in Forza. Drifting is way better in Forza too
Two more simple requests1) Could someone paint the wheels white & leave the hood white.2) Start the paint from the side mirrors(Like in Seth's, and have it V down the hood to the corners of the small grill between the lights, & also paint the small grill blackThanks a lot, I wish...
Just wondering if anyone could please change the color of my hood & pop-ups to black(same black as the top of the car, not carbon fiber) and also paint my wheels white(same white as the car). Thanks a lot
