Since this is for non DSM related discussion I'll post this here. I need the DSM communities help. My fuel pump is continuously overheating and leaving me sitting a lot. It's not the engine but the pump. Any suggestions?1988 MA70 Supra Turbo 7mGTE (bored .040)

Check you ground connection.
You are having to connect through the body instead of almost directly like before.
Sand the end of the Ground wire and the area where it is supposed to connected.
Then make sure the bolt is very clean and not rusty.
Reconnect it all and it should help at least a...
If it sits any different or the line is pulled any or loosened any then it will cause a little idle differences, check you idle adjustment. make sure everything is set back right and where it is supposed to be, that would be my first check.
I say wait for the manual. If you can drive it well you won't have any problems and it will get better mileage. Me personally I can't stand the way automatics drive and shift anyway.
So I have stock axhaust on my car... hasn't even been touched except on the engine replace a few years back. Well Lately the exhaust has sounded more and more raspy and louder. Very very recently though iy has sounded almost like there is no muffler or cat but just a rattling and raspy exhaust...
So if I push on it with my fingers it should only move about an 1/4 inch?
And yes I do have a Haynes Manual, but it doesn't give that information anywhere. I look throughout the whole book almost trying to find it. That's why I asked here, I found 0 on the internet too.
My power steering is loose on my 99 N/T.
I know what to do, and I have searched but can't find anything on how tight to PS belt should be. I don't want to break it or leave it too loose. So how tight should it be? That is all I need to know.
True I was wanting to make sure the limiter wasn't there though.
So I guess since multiple of you said it doesn't have a limiter I'll see later if it gets anymore power before I get a better car.
I was not on a public road, And I have V rated tires on the car for the exact reason that was said about.
When I got to 127 I was still climbing just really slow.
It didn't take that long to get to that speed either. The Acceleration did really start to slack off until about 115.
I was...
I made it to 127 one time but people have said that they top out at 125.
So with a little give in the speedometer That is about right. So I want to get past that.
Yeh if I need a tune (before I learn how to myself) I will be taking mine to TDC also.
It is the only place that tunes and does performance work on imports. The Asian guy up there too, also know about DSM's so I think we are in good hands there.
My friend has a shop that has all the equipement you could imagine, so I'm sure they do.
I will probably do it there, but I will still need to know how to do it. Any references you would recommend? My setup is actually stock also. It's just my alignment is really really bad. Mainly in the...
I have a 99 N/T, and the amount of road noise I get is really annoying, It sounds like a gigantic tin can.
I have looked and there is pretty much no sound deadening in the whole car.
What would be a cheap way to go about quieting things down, or a cheap sound proofin material?
Thanks
True, but wouldn't running it for almost 4 minutes without the fans plugged in run up the heat a bit?
I tried that to see if I could get the heat up and it did the same thing it always does. That is what is throwing me off.
Laurel. I have no Idea where that is. I will look it up though. And don't worry I am also new to the DSM/Tuners scene as a whole considering my age.I can't see anyone on the EAST COAST!!! haha. Just messing but nice to hear from you.
Are there any DSMers in these States? Preferably on the Gulf Coast. I am at a loss for DSM friends down here. Noone I know has a DSM that they tune. I have only seen them driven by chicks who don't even know how to change a tire. Anyone down here?
I'll join even though now one probably knows me on here, haha
I live on the opposite part of the country.

oooo I got Josh before he got me ;)
I have a question.
My alignment needs adjusting but I want to learn how to do it myself.
So I need to know how to adjust all the alignment settings on the car.
I want to learn for motorsports later on. So that I can do it myself later if I need to.
and does anyone know all the alignment...
Stock... lol.
But seriously I am one of those suspension noobs. I have done a lot of research but a 16 year old can only learn so much from words and reading. I need to SEE some results. Come on you guys.
My first goal was to just get my N/T running, lol. Seriously though once I get some money I'm going to to mine (yes I am willing to do the work). I want a fun sporty car but it's hard to say your car is spport on about 95 to the wheels and 120 at the crank if I'm lucky with the wear and tear on...
Sorry I wasn't clear but I meant if I upgraded my fuel system along with lower and higher end upgrades for strength if I could pull out some better boost numbers, sorry. That is very helpful though.I never knew there was a such thing as a semi-closed and open deck blocks. I will have to look...
So this poses a question for me.
I am a bout to paint my car here soon.
I was wondering, what if it is a daily driver for about an average of 30-40 miles daily?
I use an Armor-All set that I got for Christmas by the way. (Wash, Tire and wheel cleaner, Tire Shine, Interior Wipes, Interioir...
My temperature gauge never goes above halfway.
I have replaced all of the sensors and I have no leaks.
I have even tried unplugging the fan and letting the heat get high but I still won't read above half way. I would certainly like to know how hot the engine is too since at the moment it is...
