Been doing a lot of sanding and grinding, welded shut all the unused holes. A bunch need to be gone over again, but I'm making progress.Fuse box mocked up..not sure how I'm going to trim the rest of the sheet metal yet
This is my 1997 Eclipse GST, I've owned this car since I was 18, started off stock doing just maintenance and then put a 16g on it, right now I'm redoing the engine bay. The car has a new rebuilt head with hks 272's, 3g lifters and a evo 8 valvetrain. The power steering lines are already tucked...
I've trimmed most of my punishment racing kit to fit around the auto transmission, and I haven't rolled any of them. Couplers stay on up to 25psi with no leaks
Take the intake off, clamp the tester tightly to the turbo with a hose or t-bolt clamp, start letting some pressure in the system from your compressor, and spray everything that can leak with some soap and water. I just filled up an empty windex style bottle with a little dish soap and water and...
Did you click update all to see if any came up? And I see in the emissions one the oxygen sensor only has the heater monitor complete, any chance your front O2 is bad?
Yea you don't need it. Is the rest of your emissions removed? And I looked in your gallery and noticed your bov isn't recirculated, I doubt that's making it run bad on it's own but it's not helping. As far as the fpr, that is the correct setting but I just mean it would help you eliminate that...
Okay well that's kind of a lot of different things that could be wrong. For starters tho check for any codes, do a boost leak test and correct any leaks, and I would almost put the stock fuel pressure regulator back in for now.To check for codes: connect the car to ecmlink on your computer...
Well in order to get the codes (if there are any) you'll need to go on the dtc tab in ecmlink and check if there are any. A wideband is what you need next, but I would focus on getting the car running right first. And NGK bpr7es plugs are only 2.50 each
You can PM me if you want, but what would I expect to pay for what you just described? Would a local shop even be able to get a new drier? I'd love ice cold a/c again
Like I already answered on your other thread, you'll need to take off the accesory belts, water pump, ac compressor, timing belt covers, and timing belt to get to the cps. It's just two bolts, not hard to take off and replace but you'll be doing a full timing job to get to it
May as well buy a new timing belt, you have to take everything timing related and all the accessory belts and pumps of to get at the CPSEdit: just noticed this is in the 420a thread, didn't you say this was for a spyder?
Should have specified - a working front O2 sensor. Doesn't even have to be used, just functioning. I have my wideband in the front O2 housing and use narrowband simulation, but just plugging the front O2 sensor back into the harness so the ecu sees its functioning counts as two monitors. Ecmlink...
Felpro here with no problems. Use a thin smear of rtv only on any 90 degree angles and under the half moon, it won't leak. I've even taken it off to paint the valve cover and reused it and a year later it still doesn't leak
Lol, it is recirculated. If you took the time to read you would see I said I tried to vent, not that I was. See my above picture where I showed the OP how I got my oem tube to work? My tuner is David Aguado (Chicken). Apparently you didn't know ecmlink had a way to vent with the stock maf.Out...
I personally would vent if I could just because I love the sound of a 1g vented bov, but I've never been able to get mine to run right vented. My tuner even tried using the maf clamp thing or whatever on link, still idled horrible and a/f ratios were all over the place. My car is automatic tho...
Do you have the oem piece still? I ran into this problem with my ebay intake, what I did was cut the intake about in half and bought a 45 degree coupler that went from 2.25" at the turbo inlet to 3" at the intake pipe. They make these intakes way too long for some reason. Either way it'll make...
Read through the whole thread then realized you're the same person who had the thread with the new garage, I think it's safe to say you're winning at life lol
None of the kits work that great with an auto, and they'll all require you to bend the dipstick. I have the punishment racing kit and the hotside piping will clear the transmission cooler fine, although I do have mine relocated to the stock intercooler spot.
The easiest way to make the coldside...
How much have those of you who have had a shop fab up an exhaust paid for it? Everyone keeps saying cheap, but I'm wondering how cheap it is. I'd like one made with a cat and a resonator in it from the downpipe back
This was an awesome thread, worth reading the whole thing. I was surprised you didn't paint any of the suspension parts when you put it back together tho. You're probly going to tho still :p
