I have this remaining from my autocross car I parted out. This eliminates the water pipe and heater core so I would recommend it only be used on a track car. Griffen radiator mounts using factory brackets. Custom shroud welded on with a 14" Spal fan. Duct from fmic to radiator was built for a...
This has been sitting in my basement for over a year. I had it built for my autox car, but ended up parting it out before the next season came around. Split thrust 7 bolt bored 20 over, oem crank with Manley H beams and Weisco pistons. Contact me for further details. I had only posted this in my...
I have this remaining from my autocross car I parted out last fall. This eliminates the water pipe and heater core so I would recommend it only be used on a track car. Griffen radiator mounts using factory brackets. Custom shroud welded on with a 14" Spal fan. Duct from fmic to radiator was...
This is a custom Griffen radiator that uses stock mounts with fan shroud and Spal 14"fan. Also includes duct work for fmic to radiator. Was made to fit punishment fmic. This eliminates the water pipe and heater core. Will include AN hoses, fittings, 1G thermostat housing with AN fitting welded...
Speed density intake designed for use with a 16g. Filter inlet is 3.5in, slowly tapers to 2.25 at turbo inlet. Has -10AN fitting for catch can. Includes K&N oval filter. 200 shipped.
Ugh, I need to get on the forums more often so I don't miss stuff like this. If you have anyone flake out on payment I will gladly jump in and take a set.
We would have gone father but my hi-z 1100 were maxed out. In fact boost tapers down to 28 at redline because of that. It sounded like 400tq is what Devin considers the safe limit on a 7 bolt.
I only did the design and mock up. My friend has a fab shop so I just took the cardboard templates to him and he made them. He has the programs saved on his plasma table, so they could be reproduced. But if I was going to start selling them there is a few slight tweaks I would want to make...
Been working fine. Devin gave me compliments on it when I got tuned at Boostin this fall. That's an opinion I'll hold with high regard. Guess I'll add a pic of the engine bay completed while I'm here.
A couple from Road America this past weekend. Autox on the karting complex. 193 car turnout. Took 1st in Street Modified with almost a 1.5 second lead over 2nd. And had the 4th overall raw time.
Bumping this back up there. I picked up one of these during the black Friday sale. The car has been down this entire season, just got it all together and scheduled a tune at Boostin next month. I'm coming from an evo 3 that I loved, they got me with the sale price, I was really happy with the...
I highly doubt I'm getting more air in the box than what the engine is using. Keep in mind this is an autocross car that never really sees speeds over 70mph. Depending on the hood vent design, you would either be creating a vacuum pulling air out of the box. Our you would end up getting...
Yeah, when I joined the forum over a decade ago I thought I just needed to ask a few questions, didn't put much thought into a user name. Who knew all these years I would still be here.
Running no thermostat may given you lower coolant temps, but the engine itself will be running hotter. Removing the restriction the thermostat provides allows the coolant to move too quickly through the engine to absorb the heat. You would be much better off modifying the thermostat so it always...
There is a current group buy in process for them. Once 15 are committed the first batch will be run. I'm number 11 on the list so a few more spots to fill up. PM me for more info, seller is not a vendor here.
^Best advice given. Don't waste your money buying some fancy dual bb turbo, it's not going to make you any faster. Buy a 16g for a few hundred and be done with it. As said, tires will be the biggest factor in improving times mod wise, but seat time is what will help you the most.
I see 20psi by 31-3200. I wouldn't get too hung up on horsepower numbers, in my opinion they don't mean much. The torque curve is far more important than peak power. However, on e85 guys have made upwards of 400hp. I've had people come up to my car in the paddock because they just had to know...
Here comes the naysayer.:) Removing the thermostat removes a restriction from the cooling system, which means coolant will flow through the head so fast it can not absorb heat as it should. It can also cause air pockets and hot spots to form. If you really must you can modify the thermostat so...
So approximately how many of these are out in use? I'm more interested in autox/roadrace guys running wide r compounds putting heavy lateral loads on this. It certainly looks to be of exceptional quality. But it is always nice to see some actual miles put on parts and have some good testing on...
