Totally not related to dsm's but if you ever ride a snowmobile around 32 f and then again around 0f ...it's like going from a moped to a rocket ship...pretty cool, literally!
Drive it like normal, if everything is put together correctly it will be fine, and if its not, well than it will fail regardless of wether or not you drive it like you stole it or like grandma going to the grocery store.
I have a MOMO shift knob, and it is a piece of SHIT, I hate that shift knob with every ounce of my being! It works loose from the shifter about every four days, also I cant use the bottom piece that screws up on to it from the bottom unless I leave it up about 3/4 of an inch because if I put it...
I still have my evap can and all the lines in place and mine still has what I would consider a lot of pressure, but it works so im not about to mess with it.
I know the link said look for rust but to elaborate a little, check the strut towers for signs of rust starting, they're notorious for rust. Good luck man.
I hate this method, not because it doesn't work, It does, everytime, but I always use it as a last resort because of the time it takes, so by the time I deem this method necessary I'm so pissed off and spent so much time on the dozen other "quick" methods that I just want to throw out whatever...
Im so happy this thread got revived, I just bought a set of 18" Limited Edition Volk CE28n's and have been wondering how they would fit/ look compared to my 17's I can't wait to get some tires on them and put them on!
With the speaker you could pull it out and plug it into the other side if it works then it's a wiring problem and if not well the speaker is junk, as for stains I'm sorry but I havent got much for you there, probably oxycloean or some resolve carpet stain remover and some elbow grease will work...
Radaitors are hell on the knuckles too, like a damn cheese grater!
:mad:The way I pulled my ac compressor was out the passenger side under the intake manifold, with the battery and tray out of there it took some fussing with the other shit in the way but it came out. Good luck man!
I removed my a/c and p/s but I love cruise control so I kept it but that last pic has me seriously contlemplating pulling it out as well. That looks awesome man great job!
While I realize they are not Brembo's I was going to post a pic of my Wilwood's just to add some pics (plus I think they are downright sexy) but it seems I dont have any pics of them on my phone!:ohdamn:
No you won't need to take it to a machine shop. You will need a valve spring compressor to remove springs and retainers. As for seals just replace them there like 20 bucks a set and will likely get F'd up during removal. Your valves will just pull out the bottom at this point so that's easy...
Being from New York I feel your pain, Fortunately my car has not seen a winter, but my truck had, I used a product called LPS 3, a local auto body supply shop sold it. It comes in an aerosol can or a gallon to spray on with a gun. I put it on before winter hit and they salted the roads and soap...
Definitely replace, being from New York I've dealt with my share of rust and I'm done trying to clean the shit up, I replace everything I can with stainless when possible.
I have a few questions I'm hoping some of you can answer. First I have been told that the green exterior and grey interior is a rare combination, is this true? Is there anywhere I can find manufacturing quantities or does anyone just know also according to this vin decoder my car is equipped...
I have driven my GSX from NC to NY just over 12 hours straight (except for three fuel stops and to piss ocassionally) around 75mph and 3100 or 3200 the whole way I have made this trip three times in thye last year and not had a single problem!
Well here is my .02$ I had this problem in NC you can have a max of 2 monitors not ready. I dont know if you have link or not but I do and when my car was tuned it was right after the battery was out so it saved all the not ready status' and some wont read anyway because they arent there You can...
I've been wanting to build something like this/ariel atom for a little while but from the ground up, a bad ass boosted go-kart pretty much. I wish you the best of luck and let us know how it works out for you!
Hello all, I've been here since Jan 2011 and I'm finally starting to pick up enough to start making some helpful and educated posts. My name is Collin and I drive a 97' GSX as you can tell from my profile and the pic. I bought the car just before I joined the forums here and it has pretty much...
Wow reading this thread made me look at prices, I was going to recommend the FP68hta they were about 900 when I was looking at them but its up to almost 1200 now, which really sucks because im about to start a build myself.
I have tried both the BPR7ES and the BPR8ES, and while I only run a 16g @19 psi I have most definitely noticed that the 8's last considerably longer for me.
I pulled mine out throught the passenger side, no engine jacking or removing of motor mounts I had the battery and tray out and it came right out from underneath the throttle body, just had to wiggle it through the mess of hoses and wires, but all in all not too bad.
