I wasn't able to find one localy and had time on my hand so I used washers.@1993 Laser RS AWD
I'm not making any stuff up, so if your support works like that and products look like that why wouldn't I post it?
Yes I could also keep emailing the support and they could keep ignoring my emails...
Thank you for the response.First: I'm OK with the void warranty for any moving parts.
After you send me the email with the price info for rebuild kit and cover + 50% shipping I did answere.
Maybe this emails (yes multiple because there was no response from your side) did end up in your spam...
That is was I thought, paying for american parts... getting $§%$ from china.Anybody know if a taiwan compressor cover for a 20g wheel will fit the green? I have a 20g "stock appearing" compressor cover and it wouldn't have enough clearance to use on the fp green. (I don't know why, according...
This shavings are from machining the housing, there was no contact from the compressor wheel.
I have not looked into the intercooler yet but that might be a good advise to blast some pressurized air through it before starting the car again.
I hope the shavings are just in the "sealing" rim so...
@ TexasTurbo
You don't get the point. The shavings aren't from any bearing and I'm not complaining about the "noise". It seems that the oil-returnline didn't flow. -> My problem
The bearings are still in good shape because the car just was in idle and free revving when the noise where present...
Sorry I'm not complaining about the "noise" part, there is defiantly a problem I need to fix.
And to see the metal flakes and the bad build quality of the housing you have to remove it.
If I wouldn't have done that it would probably kill my engine once the other problems are fixed. I'm happy...
Hey guys,
I recently brought an new FP Green turbo (directly from FP).My old turbo died while making strange sounds. After installing the new FP green and free revving the car it started to do very similar sounds than my old turbo (a whining noice without building boost).I did take the turbo...
Ok removed intake hose and turbo is toast.
too much shaft play.So I must have a oil problem... now I need to find it.And maybe you guys know: FP Green is just a TD06 shaft and cover so a TD05/TD06 rebuild set will fit?
Quite have no idea what is wrong with my oilsystem... but something is...
I welded a return line fitting on the pan and used oil resistant paint for that... but I sanded the pan after killing the first turbo so that isn't an issues.
Yeah I know that I won't get much boost without load but that sound killed my mood of trying the drive the car.
Yes it is the turbo that is making this noise.
I did invest in an inline oil filter.
I'm pretty sure it is not getting "Zero" oil (didn't had the fitting on the inline filter 100% tight on the first start and it was leaking oil...)Maybe the turbo was just bad from the beginning and it is just...
So it is possible that it is still good even if it sounds like that?
I will check this also will remove the drain pipe to see if there is actually oil coming out of the turbo.
Did not test the oil pressure but coming straight from the oilfilter I can't think of any reason not having oil pressure.
I didn't run it hard yet, the hardest run I did is what you see in the video, beside that the car was just idleing. But that turbo doesn't sound right? Because I hear it...
Hello guys,
I really don't know what to do anymore... I did kill a TD05H 20G beginning this year...
I found contamination in my oil pan, it seems like an oil resistant paint wasn't this resistant at all.Turbo lasted 100 miles and then it wasn't building any boost and sounded like this:I...
Yes better prepping would be the best way.
But the question is just: How do you fix it if you did burn a hole into your weld.
I know that many people do worse prepping then me, so I guess somebody can tell me the best way to fix this.
Hey guys,
I'm quite new to welding TIG. I just hope to get some tips here. How to you guys prevent flanges from warping? I tried impulse... but it didn't go as planed.
Also do you use argon inside the pipes you are welding and how?And last but not least because I'm new to welding I often just...
I found this local what do you guys think?
Especially the feature to adjust AC frequency seems to be an unique thing in that price range.
Also the 5 years warranty do sound good.http://www.stahlwerk-schweissgeraete.de/en/acdc-tig-200-puls-s/stahlwerk-acdc-tig-200-puls-s.html
I'm ok with that, if you can tell me what is wrong with the cheap ones?
Yes you don't get great support and the machine might be failing faster.but hell #### it, my brother did use a chinese tig-welder for a few years now, without any problems.
I'm not into welding yet and my brother...
Hey guys,
because many of you do weld "as a hobby", I guessed you could give me some advice.I do have little welding experience (did weld a few times with a DC TIG welder).
Now I want to get my own machine.
I thought of getting a ACDC TIG welder. Yes a DC would be fine for a beginner but...
I'm using one but haven't driven much yet.
It is quieter then a winebro but I don't know how good this thing will be in long term.
I will run it this year quite some time and see if it hold up (1200ccm injectors and E85).
Does anybody have a calculation tool that can transfer 62-124mph times (100-200km/h) into estimated horsepower?
I can not take it to the dyno because the 16G blowed up (nut got lose).
The car was doing 100-200km/h runs in a little less than 10seconds (2800lbs).from experience I would rate the...
I would go with 850ccm a AFPR and AEM-320lph pump.
That is what I'm using with a 16G Evo3 and it is a good match.
Yes you can also use a 255lph Whinbro, but AEM doesn't whine so it would be a better chooice.
With that setup you can reach 350-370hp on E85 without running out of fuel.
Oh I totally missed that thread ... Evil Eagle will be back? That is awesome! If it is running again shepard should drive against you. Not because the cars are equally matched, more because that are the two cars that wrote dsm history.
This season isn't what I did aspect.
Did one 1/4 mile run, with slippling clutch and burning tires: 14.2s @ 117mph.
This run just killed 3 syncro-rings, a clutch and flywheel-frictionplate.After fixing the tranny and clutch I cracked an axleshaft... after fixing that I did one Autobahn testrun...
Wow this Bov is crushed real good.I'm currently running the dgm and a slightly crushed BOV.
If you guys care about losing boost while shifting: just use nlts, even with no BOV closing the throttle body will kill boost. If you are running no BOV, everytime the throttlebody closes there is...
Two shoots of my GS(T) with its new wheel/tire combination.

(hand build car = hand build logo)
I did toast my clutch and a pair of syncro rings last month :(
Didn't realized that the clutch is acting strange... only did one pass than babied the car home.Of course the pass wasn't fast because I rolled of the line.
But topspeed does look good.
112mph (14.2s) with Evo3@21psihopefully the...
I agree that is sad.
I won't come to the meeting (kinda far away) but I would love to see the DSM doing a pass again.
Yes GTRs are fun and shep might be excited about doing a 1200whp GTR pass.
But hands down: The allmight GTR with all its electric computers still is no match to Sheps DSM...
The car is equipped with a airflow sensor, so no spool = no Airflow.
It will run without the arm and it will also build some boost at very high rpms (acctually feels like NA but might get upto 5Psi).
AWDs are very rare, they were only sold in south-germany and austria. They are hard to find and hard to search because mitusbishi named them: GS .... so most people don't know that they are something special.
No need to take DSM with you, just get an GS and slap a turbo on it... if you are fancy also get new pistons, injectors, resistorpack and flywheel/clutch.
The Ecus just need a new eprom. EU spec DSMs do have a knocksensor even if they are just a GS model.
So my car is just a pimped GS.I...
Thank you very much for this graph, never saw a TD06 vs. TD05 graph before.
I'm really excited how this wheel will perform.
But will wait until next year, fixing one problem at the time, I glad if my car is running again (blew the diff at the autobahn).
Than I'll retune the car on the 16G...
Ok didn't had that definition, so it is just a 20g wheel with larger blades.Did anyone try to use a billet wheel with a bored out stock compressor housing?
Because of the "TÜV" I have a need to use a stock looking housing.
@ZenkaiRacerDsMAccording to:A stock 20g does have 21mm blades.
The n9 does have 23mm blades, so it is indeed a extended tip.
But nothing brutal.I bought the wheel to mate with a TD05H housing, extendet tips mor than this 2mm wouldn't be very beneficial.Just because I did it, here a...
My fist question would be: what time do you run with the stock car?
I would also say you might need a 14B or 16G to run 12s.
But with a 14B and without taking any weight out of the car it might be a hard challenge.
Did the head had an oil failure? And how long did you use to run the car like that?I didn't ground down the studs, but if they are really handling the clampforce after being ground, that would mean I could just ground the one bolt and don't worry about braking that thing? My head did fit...
Did you use ARP headstuts? Because with stock headscrews there still is about 1mm for the oil to flow around.I did order a Oilfeedline of the filterhousing... that will defiantly give me a higher chance of not having a catastrophic failure.
I'm using 5w50 oil.
So the numbers of the video aren't correct? He measured 11.95mm for the inner bore and 11.91mm for the bolt... so there is next to no place for the oil to go.Should I just leave it like that because there is no lifter tick?
Or leave it like that and get the turbo oilfeed from the filter to...
On 5:50 in the video you can see that the oil needs to pass the 11.95mm hole. In my case there should be a 12mm bolt blocking this passage.the upper part doesn't scare me it is big enough
