I live about 100 miles from you (2.5 hrs)... Yes, I stripped everything from the factory harness and rewired just the esentials. If you were closer, I'd be happy to help.If you have any problems or questions... just email me. [email protected]
So far, the parts coming in or already here are...
MSD DIS-2 HO
PTT Twin Disc
ACL Race Bearings
Fluidampr Harmonic Balancer
Mitsubishi Timing Components

Aeromotive Belt Drive Fuel Pump and Regulator
Autometer Widebandand the list goes on........
You probably all know the horror stories of me being ripped-off by two different big name shops.Well, Ive finally started moving forward again on the Drag Talon. Its been a long, hard, expensive road. Thanks to Mike and Jeff at Slowboy Racing. Parts have already begun arriving.
Mad...
Still cannot id these pistons...... I thought surely, on DSMTUNERS, someone would have seen or used a piston like these with no markings. Maybe from a kit, and they are just not marked individually???Defiant.. You must know Polk.
That compression would cause even more issues... because the motor was supposed to be 11.1:1The following is a quote made by the builder on another website....."Here is a few pics of some work that we have been doing at the shop lately.
It is a soild fild 4G64 "Shep" style head, 11.1:1...
Each of the popular manufacturers said their code and or name would be imprinted..... There are absolutely no markings on these pistons, unless they were removed and then recoated. I even looked for scratch marks where the name or number could have been removed. Nothing........
I know several...
Sure they do... Most go 20, 40 and 60. The rings actually have 50 stamped on them.
I (assumed) that was 50 over, seeing how my 20 overs were stamped 20.They were installed in a DSM.. But considering the rest of the build, who knows!
Can anyone identify these custom pistons? The only info I have is that they are .50 over.
I have no idea what compression ratio......I sent pics to Wiseco... they said no.
I called Ross.... they said no without even seeing pics...
There are no markings or numbers on the pistons.Not...
You can search for different ways of bypassing the isc; it has been done different ways. What I did, was a complete fiav blockoff and siliconed the isc in place so it could not leak (give the silicone time to cure)... I left the harness unplugged from the isc and used electrical tape to...
It could cause the car to stall if it let the rpms drop low enough. I bypassed mine completely, but I live in the South (hotter climate). You may just want to look for a good used one. The factory new price on those is outragous.
That's exactly what I was trying to illustrate for those who could not picture it.... I just didn't have a clip of a 420a egr valve.I just added the metering note for those who may try the modification on a non-420a or even a non-dsm.I'm working on a new illustration now.......
Check this out guys.... I think this is what you are trying to accomplish.
This should block the exhaust and only draw in fresh air when the EGR vacuum calls for it.Note: On metered air vehicles, this may cause a slight 'lean' condition.A picture's worth a thousand words.......
I just wanted to thank Jens at FIC for help with my new setup. These turned out awesome! I couldn't have asked for better or faster service.....They even flow matched the AN fittings.......
I hope there will not be any bashing or vulgar comments made toward Polk nor myself concerning this post... Please keep it clean so that it serves the purpose of getting resolution to a problem that we all face in relying on a (reputable) shop to perform work on our DSMs as well as other cars...
Thank you Mods, for not deleting this post. I hated to make it public, but situations as big as this really need to be brought to light. I have photo and video proof of everything and will post as soon as the attorney says it's ok; unless David Polk and I can settle this before court.
I'm in...
Well.. an update... I didn't turn out so lucky after all. After two years of waiting and $22,000.
Later, I will post the photos of all the junk work done to my car, being filed with the attorney.
Sorry, David.. I waited as long as I could without even a response from you.
I even offered to...
$$$ and worth every penny of it... :thumb:
The cage will be painted along with the scheme of the car. It is an all out drag car that will also be seeing a lot of car shows.
I'll post complete photos when the car is finished.....
I had to post pics of my rollcage and say thanks to Chandler Chassis Concepts. I believe they are located in Greenbrier Arkansas. My car was taken to him by another shop.
If you want a serious cage installed... Chandler is the man!
Oh my God... NO..... This can't be real.
He and his family are in our prayers. I just picked my car up from him two weeks ago.
We talked about the last accident getting him closer to God. Now I understand.....In honor of Don..... A pic of my car as it was leaving his shop..... Thank you Don.
