Use a staple gun underneath the lip, on the portion that sticks on the bumper. Then there won't be big holes in your bumper. I did it to mime and it held up great on the highway.

Cylinder 1 is closest to the timing belt side and hold cable 1, then cylinder 2 with cable 2... So on and so forth. On the coil pack underneath each coil prong is a number indicating which cylinder/cable goes there. Plug them in how it says and you're done.Or just go shortest cable to longest...
Don't know much about holstet turbos, but it either looks like it is bolted down from underneath or maybe it has studs that go downward. If any of that makes sense. If you are skeptical, I would just hold off until you feel right about a car. Seems like you aren't to sure anyways.

A 1g bov should be able to work and are fairly cheap. I'd look for o e of the 1g and ditch the greddy. As for gasket and stuff, I don't even use a gasket, just grey rtv and it has help up fine for me. I'm running 20psi on a 16g.

I would say they're fine, but I mean I would only be looking for a uicp just to replace the cheap plastic bov. I'd replace it with a 1g bov. The lip is fine and I don't think you should change it unless it is cracked or has a hole. If not, it should be fine. Should save you some money...
Just idling or revving, won't help you find a boost leak. You need to pressurize the system. I reccomend doing a boost leak test and let us know the results. To me sounds like a boost leak somewhere. I would say the we is fine, but you can blow air into the nipple and see if the arm moves. That...
