With mine i did 3-3.5k. Anything lower and my car would bog. My aim was to keep my rpms between 2.5-3.5k. Until i got boosted. Then i pretty much said economy be damned! Vroooooom chuuuuuuu
I work at a place that does this. I have not heard of an issue with this but I wouldn't personally recommend these services. Primarily for the buisines this is a way to make lots of money on products tha are really cheap. The place i work at recommends those same to services on EVERY vehicle...
You need to figure out your rough idle snd go from there. Also check you fuel pressure when the fmu sees positive pressure. I have a feeling those will be your two issues.
So having to counter steer and use the throttle to control a car takes less skill than pulling the e-brake and flooring it through turns? So is that why all real drifters use RWD. The only people who think AWD is better are the noobs. Points dont mean anything in real drifting. It's about lines...
Everything listed in that kit i picked up for less than 200 dollars. I built a turbo kit complete with safc and injectors for 1200. If you want to send shrapnel through your engine then by all means go for it.Best of luck to you.
I have never seen any one prove they actually work or get noticable gains. Yet they still sell. I'm skeptical for their worth especially at 200 dollars I think it can be better spent elsewhere. My .02
The way the missing link works is they create a HUGE vacuum leak right before the map sensor. I am recommding he only check the idle with the missing link off to see if is idle AFR comes back into line.
Well thats the right pump. Have you verified your fuel pressure under boost? Unhook the ling going from you manifold to the fmu and add 8psi with compressed air. My gss342 was bad brand new from walboro and was only hitting 62 psi under full boost.Sound a lot like we had the same problem. I...
95 is still OBD II and since the DLC is not located next to the fuse block I wouldn't know. Just use a scanner.I assume your CEL is on then?Edit: looks like it might work. Worst you can do is try. Keep in mind this will only help if your CEL is constantly on.
I stated this long ago.I chose my platform and im in it for the long haul.Yes the 4g can make more power, yes it has better traction with its awd option.Do I care? Not really. I loved my 420a and told many high and mighty 4g guys to kindly @@@@ off when they told me it was a crap...
Either buy a guage or find a way to thread a guage in where the sensor goes just to check. Then put it back. You can buy a full guage set up and mount it if you wanted to.Edit: also make sure the connector is good and tight first. Then look to confirming your oil pressure.
I loved my 420 turbo. With my setup i was faster than a stock gst. Granted i was running a 16g sized turbo and pushing what the engine (and front tires) could handle. I loved it and i will do it again. Just need to find one thats not 2500 dollars WITH a bad tranny.
Anothe option ( obviously not the best) is that the safc has an option to take into account the BOV releasing measured air in a turbo MAF system. Its not the best way but it will get you by, so long as your BOV is closed at idle.I ran a 1g BOV and while at idle it would hang open. Hooray speed...
Honestly it would be easier to just wire your fans to always be on with ignition. Even then it wont make much of a difference. I ran my car no thermostat with fans always on and my temp stayed at 215 unless I spent a long time cruising at freeway speeds then it would drop into the 190s
Dont know if it has been done but from when i was looking into it i found it was deffinately possible. With a custom roll cage and rear subframe and quite a bit of money it can be done.I however lack the funds and fabrication skills so i quickly abandoned the project.
Your steering wheel might be off a little and your car will probably have a slight pull to the right. As far as tire wear you will be fine.Edit: you can easily fix that rear camber issues with some washers as well.
A gsx is a better option for total power but if all you are looking for is a fun daily driver a 420a turbo can be quite entertaining. It is entirely possible to have too much power out of a 420a.Having owned a 420a turbo i would do it again. Still have most of the parts actually.
I have nEver heard of an exhaust gas recirculation temp before. I think you may have your terminology mixed up. Since you do not have an aftermarket ecu i would also recommend you move it farther down at let the ecu read off of the stock 02.
That link that bud posted is the thread that helped me get my 420a boosted. Read it. Study it. If you can not recite the entire thread by memory read it again. I dropped 1300 in the end and ended up with all name brand parts. Only ebay i used was piping, but pipe is pipe.
When i was boosted i ran no thermo stat because i had only one fan. If i sat too long the temps would creep up but one problem.Any leak in a cooling system is a MAJOR problem. Fix all leaks then check again.
I purchased mine through o'reilys for 114 a few years ago. that was the lowest price I found. I personally had too many experiences with ebay knock offs so I would stay away from there. But since I have had no personal experience with these control arms, so take that with a grain of salt
What rate fmu? The injectors may become an issue.I ran 275cc in place of my stock 190's and my safc was at 24% to get my fuel trims in line so i think roughly 350cc would be about pushing it.Also what rate fmu are you pooking at?Side. Note if you are putting this much work into this car...
Why would you want to run a staggered fitment on a fwd?Edit: saw this is a galant. But this will still increase understeer and make it so rotating tires is not possible front to rear.
I would bet my life that it is the brakes. OP said he replaced them and a few days LATER it STARTED again. Meaning it was fixed. Then it is his driving habits that caused them to warp again. The brakes or suspension are not the cause of this the driver is. I ran the cheapy AZ rotors for years...
If its a manual you can use any 2g tranny. You can also use a neon tranny. Ut your performance will suffer greatly from the smaller final drive as far as autos i have no idea.
