    if it slid out with the transfer case i would say that it is a very good possiblity that this is the reason you have the wet oily look.also check the rear main seal while you have the tranny off. may be a good time to go ahead and replace it if it hasnt been done yet.

    you should be able to get close with a few more things like injectors a wideband and a tuning device.. But then again the dyno does hurt your feelings when you get there trust me.

    check your knock sensor and make sure there is not a lot of gooey looking junk coming out of it? the reason you may see 77 degree iat temp is the person tuning may have locked it at that temp to tune it. it is an option on the v3 as thats what my buddy tunes mine with. thats all i can tell you.

    its a kit that come with a special drill bit that you drill the hole out with. then you insert a coil the give you and bam its repaired. no more stripped hole.:thumb:

    if you have a AEM wideband if you look in the booklet that comes with it they recommend not to put the sensor no closer than 36 inches from the turbo or o2 housing and 18 inches on N/A engines. They say it could cause the sensor to fail faster. although i dont suppose it would hurt to move it up...

    you can probably use the loan a tool program at a autozone or advance auto. I myself do not know if they loan a timing light but its worth a try and you get your money back when you return it.

    fabricate a bracket and mount it where the side mount intercooler was.

    open your oil fill cap and get close to it and listen if you do hear ticking from there you will know its the lifters. sounds like an exhaust like from what i can hear and from where its coming from. But I have never heard lifter tick behind the intake..

    yes you can put the turbos cas on the nonturbo. i had a similar problem not to long ago and it turned out a wire was broke on my sensor.

    Did you crawl under it and try to turn it by hand? you should probably pull the head or drop the oil pan to see if anything is broke.

  31. How much did you pay for your DSM?

    1400 for my 95 gsx bad auto tranny( did a manual swap) last year. And 450 for my 99 gst black leather. I put my built 2.4 in the gsx and the stock 2.0 that came out of the gsx I put It in the black 99 gst.

    I speak from experience. I tried it on my 2g gsx and theres not enough room. Not to say it cant be done with alot of modification. But its not worth the time. Full blown pump hangars are nicer looking anyway.

    I have a boost, oil pressure, and wideband o2. Dont really feel like anything else is to critical at the moment.

    I would check the crank and cam sensors first and then go from there. I had a similar issue once.

    I love my all black leather interior. Picked mine up for 250 and then turned around and picked the car it came out of up for 150. Guess I got paid out of the deal.. And yes the car it came out of was a 99 gst.

    Could have a break in a wire inside the insulation somewhere. Easiest thing to do is what palmetto said. I once chased a wire for 14 hours to find a break inside the insulation right under the fuse box. You have got to love wiring.

    You can reflash your ecu or even swap it out for a evo 8 ecu and use evo_scan. Some repinning is required.

    I run and AEM wideband and have no problems logging with my ecmlink v3. Its up to you what you want to go with. Everyone will have a different opinion. But im new to this thing as well.

    I would take the alt. To the advance or autozone and have them test it and see what tje machine says. Could in fact be the voltage regulator.
