He might need the actual pivot bushings though... What year is your car Heryst? Different years may take slightly different parts.

I does give me feedback about the fact that the setup I had been running (same as yours, I also have balance shafts removed by the way) shouldn't cause me any problems, which I figured was the case. In other words, yes, that does help a little, thank you. However I'm still seeing almost half...
Where do I start? I don't often post in the forums with questions to bug you guys with, but I'm really stumped on this one...
Late fall or early winter last year, I was on my way to pick from a parts car. Once I got home I noticed a real annoying ticking sound coming from the engine bay...
I think flat looks great, but sometimes you can see every little spot of oil or wetness on it, just because it's shiny on a matte surface... I'd just recommend if you can clean it easy, like a valve cover or catch can, go matte if you want, otherwise at least a semi-gloss to help hide things...
Not the ones for the hood, but for the bumper... But thank you. All i can seem to find are the rubber band kind. Those push button ones look nice and clean.
Beautiful job on those hood latches btw.Edit: Found them... (Or at least like them) http://www.quik-latch.com
May I ask you more about the bumper quick releases too? Like where you got them or brand or something? Those things would make life so much easier... Lol.
Oh ya? Well thats pretty sweet... You please have to get some more shots of that black beauty from further back! All these close ups are driving me nuts! Lol
I know of a guy named Clint, from Meridan, CT. He's a local DSM guru of sorts.... If he can't help you out he can probably point you in the right direction! If you'd like to talk to him, p.m. me and I'll give you his number.
Those headlights look amazing... I have an auto trans I'll be rebuilding at some point, sounds like a good parts list, but I'm not going for the same goal as you...
Looks good! Cant wait to see the progress. Are you going to be putting in new seats? I'd love to take those front seats off your hands if you are! Trying to restore my 93 and those are just what i need. P.m. If ur willing to part with them... Do you plan on rebuilding the auto or you going to...
Still looking awesome man! I'm lovin that gauge cluster! I think you're going to have to do a write-up on that...:D. Keep it going, keeps the rest of us inspired. What paints are you using? Let us know how they hold up.
Ahh, gotcha, thanks for the pics. I didn't realize those were actually screws, and not rivets, till you mentioned that. I can respect the functionality in both the use of screws, and the mod itself. And, don't mind me, I'm just an honest person with OCD... I nitpick. (Call it constructive...
Interesting, I've been waiting to see someone do this to a 1g. Looks like the 2g vent mod kinda... Got any pics of the bottom of the hood? Did you have to cut any of the stock bracing? I think it looks good, but I think it'd look better cleaner... no offense, not trying to hate. I'm just not...
Yes, this is an old thread but I'll jump in on it with you, as I'm also trying to diagnose a rear end whine in my 93 tsi with lsd, adjustable uca's, poly bushings all around, toe eliminator, rebuilt driveshaft, and new wheel bearings.
The sound I'm hearing appears to be coming from the rear...
I am currently running the Kiggly HLA pressure regulator and 3g Lifters, and I personally have zero issues. My head is pretty quiet once warmed up, at least compared to what it used to sound like. (Dont exactly know if the zeroticks are the same as 3gs, but figured I'd post my results anyway...)
The nuts should be for mounting the strut to the hat in a double, locking nut configuration(why there's four). The nuts needed to mount the hat to the body are a different size anyway(at least on mine they're different sizes, but mine are also 2g Konis).Have you checked out this thread too...
Hey there! Have you checked out the VFAQs yet? Theres some good write-ups on there about Koni install/assembly.
I know the white plastic pieces are the first to go on. They act like scrapers (what I read at least). If you have more questions after lookin at the vfaqs p.m. me, I did the Koni/GC...
Good stuff. I have the style with the anchors, and I love it. It works great. One of the anchors popped off during install though, leaving a small semi-frayed hole. I ran the wire through that. If i had the option of grommets I would have chosen those, and I'd recommend anyone getting this...
Just FYI, Theres nothing wrong with 1g 7-bolts! It's the 2g 7-bolts you have to watch more for crank walk! 1g 7-bolts are good engines too.
90-92.5=6-bolt
92.5-94="good 7-bolt"
95+="crankwalk 7-bolt"
If my Talon wasn't already 6-bolt swapped when I bought it, I wouldn't waist my time swapping it...
There was a review on here...
http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/handling-tech/416242-drop-engineering-motor-mount-review.html
Seems like a good review, and they just brought them to a fantasic price. I'm getting a set.
Also, Aproductions, one member in that thread-^ posted about installing them on...
Gotta say, i've had the wheels on my frontier dipped black and hit with the glossifier. It's been at least 8/9 months now, and I live in the northeast with plenty of salt and harsh conditions from winter. I've pressure and touchless washed the truck many times, plastidip still looks 100%! If you...
All you need to make a 2g reservior fit in a 1g is a couple of spacers.
I have a 2g reservior in my 1gb. Used a couple hex, rod couplers from home depot. Actually looks kinda cool too.
You could try checking your driveshaft, its a possible cause of that thump you're hearing. There are a couple vids on youtube showing this. And some info on it in the vfaqs.

Not saying thats your problem for sure but its worth a check.
Awesome man, can't wait to see more progress! I am constantly looking for more ideas for my eventual 1gb tear-down/rebuild and I'm dyin to see see what you come up with. I really like pro-touring style, especially on classic mustangs and chargers, and that'd be great if i could incorporate some...
Just for another way to check for water leaks, do a BLT on your interior! Get some soapy water, and turn your vents/AC/heat on full blast. Then start spraying! It might not always bring you straight to your problem area, but it's another way to check things. Worked for me anyway.
Welcome man! Only real dsm shop that I've heard of in CT, is Forced Induction Motorsports in South Windsor (used to be VR in East Hartford, moved and changed the name basically); Not that they're a personal recommendation of mine btw, but they are there. Aside from that, you might have better...
Cool man! Glad to hear of another DSM shop in new england. I'd definately even take a ride up from ct if i needed a part or two, any excuse to drive to new hampshire/ vermont lol. Just got back from mt washington last weekend and spent a lot of summers and winters up there. I love ## roads so...
Hello fellow CT DSMer! Basically, as long as you line it up the same way it shouldn't mess with your timing that much, but you should still probably invest in at least a cheaper timing light. They're very easy to use. Most RTVs should do the job, but I'd go with RTV Black, it's more oil...
+1^, what turbo do you have? If it's the stock T25, you might want to consider upgrading like Silver said. If you really just want to rebuild, try contacting JusMX141. He will either steer you the right way, or recommend a turbo upgrade too.
How many ports does your catch can have? If it only has two, and it's a sealed can, one of those ports must run to your intake pipe. The other hose should probley be run to the port on the side of the valve cover. The port on the back of the valve cover is where the PCV valve goes; basically a...
Im an apprentice welder so I'll do my best to help, here we go...
Zinc has a melting point of 787.2*F, and turbo manifolds routinely reach over 1000*F. I'd take a guess and say thats a bad idea. Even if its just coated, you would have to grind it down to weld prep it, and still might not get a...
I'm not positive, but it could be a wheel bearing. It's worth checking at least. I had a similar incident (road noises) and it was my rear wheel bearing. For a basic test, just jack the car up, and grab a tire and try to shake it, you shouldn't be able to (in and out, towards and away from the...
A trailer with a parts car in tow, haha!
But seriously- oil, antifreeze, timing and balance shaft belts(if you have b.shafts), a jack and stands, a metric socket set and torque wrench, zipties, couple hose clamps, flashlight, duct tape, and of course a normal roadside emergency kit.
Sound okay...
Know it's been a couple months since you posted, but I'm right there with you man. I've been looking for these things for a while. I love having them but I hate (with a passion) the tape/glue on kind; performance, and aesthetically speaking. If you (or anyone) find a set PLEASE please please let...
DSM Tuners, or 4G63 Tuners? DSMTuners, thats right! You diss'n the 420a guys? LOL. Nice bumper Wes, looks kinda sliced up, maybe even a little hacked... unique for sure! ROFL. Just mess'n a little...
Seriously though lets humor the guy. If you want it, make it happen; if its really what you...
