Okay guys so the title of the post pretty much explains what im doing, I have a built 1G motor i'm trying to put in my 1995 2G chasis. What I need to know is what alterations need to be done to the wiring configuration. I currently have a 2G harness, 1995 AWD, in the car and am getting ready to...

Thought so, thanks. I do I have a 1G A.W.D. to put it in but, I have turned my focus to the 2G because its sexy, my new baby if you will 3ill:D Okay with that being said its in classified really cheap but I'll be selling it to finalize my last dsm. Anyways it came with a stock 2G TURBO. Can I...
Question is as stated .I will be building to 2 G, so If it wont fit from the IG to the 2G I'll have to sell it. It's a nice full Megan racing pipe no down pipe back stuff FULL EXHAUST:cool:
Yeah tuning on the spring pressure is gonna be the most difficult I have aftermarket springs and retainers but I want a quick spool when the wastegate cracks open.
Do I need a shep trans build stage 1, 2, 3, 4, or dogbox for my build? Also do I need aftermarket coilovers cv shafts sway bars or anything? What kind of rear? It currently has a stock tranny and 3 bolt rear end. I am curious as I have a 2.4L strocker with wiseco pistons, eagle roads, mitsu...
My bad should have elaborated I do have an awd shell motor is being assembled and ready to drop just looking for advice on how to achieve my goals and what step to first take.
So I already have a nice 12 second fwd car with lots of mods im swapping to awd. Im thinking im gonna get a new AEM controller with the 1/8 NP so I can run over 29psi I am thinking I want to start with getting the AEM trueboost cause my giving my old one to my friend who is gonna run less boost...
Okay what if I run two waste gates linked together at one side the then the other side linked to both turbos. Which I guess I could then hook them in as a single line right?
This is a build in process swapping from fwd. Im running1280 injectors Could I run a Y link piping to my intake if I can find a way to twin turbo this beast Ill use my 60 and 68 trim. Can it be done?
I have everything on that list except the two aftermarket intakes and the turbo which is a 69mm wheel, as of now i current have a 60mm wheel on my turbo.
I want to put a t4 turbo with a new intake and a new magnus intake manifold I will have a 3 bolt LSD DIFF stock awd chasis can I hold this much hp on stock suspension? My motor is bored .030 over and has crower cams, truck crank, eagle rods and wiesco pistons. How much power do you think I can...
I bored out my talon .030 over and I am going to replace the head gasket. I need to know if I can still use a stock size gasket or if I need to do anything to compensate for the over sized pistons. I know this question probably sounds dumb but I am new to the bore game. I will use a non MLS...
I had my lifters springs valves and retainers all checked by a performance shop and a mechanic, but I need to know if I need a special gasket for .030 over bore. Thanks guys.
Alright guys I adjusted the BISS and TPS and got myself idling okay, the ticking has gotten better however I found out the copper gasket that was used to the head is not sealing properly. Do I need to find an after market gasket for my bore? I will probably just go with a fel-pro gasket if I...
Okay, thanks guys ill leave the car running for a bit and see if gets any better. The idle is low I cant seem to get the afpr right but Ill turn up the tps a bit and see how things go when it gets to be decent temp outside.
Okay guys a stroked my motor out to a 2.4L, shortly after getting it running the head gasket blew. I sent the head to be ported and get a copper gasket on it. While this was being done he also checked out my lifters, springs, etc. There is now a knocking sound, he says its the lifters wearing in...
Put her up on a lift and found a loose hose LOL Sometimes its the little things we overlook i guess. The compression checked out fine I had it towed to a pep boys because I lived to far from home and they apparently do not know how to do a proper compression test WTF
Okay guys I installed a 2G block with a ported exhaust eagle rods truck crank and wiseco pistons punched .30 over. The block had plasma rings, however I didn't install plasma rings on the head. I drove the car a good 100 miles yesterday and it started shooting coolant and eventually lost...
Okay you can view my profial for mods list, but what I did was ported the head, bored the block to a 2.3L strocker. Upgraded to gates timing belt, brand new wiseco pistons, BC 272 cams, BC springs and retainers (already had the cams springs and retainers), eagle rods, mitsubishi truck crank...
Hey guys sorry for my frustration, I tore down the head and the gasket was only sealing the edges. The metial was completley seperated. It was stupidity for me to not think about the flexability of a metal gasket, like many of you I'm sure, I just wanted my baby back and didn't do the research...
White greese is a waterproof lubricant and works just as well as motor oil, as for the 135lbs of torque I know that is way over specefication, but I was frustrated and actually found someone with a similar problem who resolved it by going 130lbs. I don't give a flying f*ck if your a moderator...
Okay so I have ARP head bolts which I just put white grease on and retorqued the head to 135 lbs. I thought possibly the problem was fixed, but after about five minutes of driving the hose swelled again. From the responses I am getting I should put on a cometic gasket instead? This is not my...
I have put a felpro head gasket on before with no problems until it couldn't hold my car's power. I bought an MLS gasket and now my top radiator hose is building extreme amounts of pressure and water is leaking from my exhaust. The car does not overheat at this point, could I have torqued it...
It was my forks in the transmission. Your linkage could also be an issue, but I would definitely see if you cant take a look at your tranny or have it rebuilt.
Yeah I am replacing switching to an MLS haedgasket, cermaic brakes, stage 3 clutch and some painting so I figured I would try to take care of that problem. It really was a pain siloconing it over and over again lol.
Pretty self explanatory, cant find this gasket anywhere. It keeps coming apart and does not support the 19 pounds of boost im running. Please help identify where I can find the gasket or really just any help would be appreciated, I'm stumped! :ohdamn:
I just had a new transmission installed, and when I got the car back I had electrical problems that were not an issure before. My turn signals will not come on, my tach will not work, and my alternater is not charging my battery. I have a brand new battery so I know this is not the issue, also I...
I still have the gears and what not from my old transmission so it should not be a problem fixing it, just have to figure out the problem. If given the opportunity to try these tests I will thanks.
No the engagement was fine and I changed everything except I had a stage 4 clutch in the car originally so I kept the fidanza flywheel and put in an oem clutch. It seems to me like it is stuck in gear.
I think this thread pretty much elaborated pretty much all the aspects of true boost, if you want to know more about how it looks and how to operate it there are some really nice instructional videos on youtube, I dont know about the other boost controller, but I give AEM 4.5/5
:hmm: didnt try rolling it in first, will give it a shot. Also I have noticed my short throw doesnt go through gears as smoothly, no grinding just takes more pressure than it ussally does.
Well there is a warning setting that will shut off your ECU after you reach your desired boost level. Also it might be worth checking into how your duty cycle works. Alot of people do not understand it correctly, the duty cycle number is the %your car is running that setup per .06 seconds, the...
So my car will not run unless my foot is on the clutch, if I put my car in neutral and turn it on with the clutch engaged it dies right away. When I try to take off it dies as soon as it launches (when I let my foot off the clutch in 1st). Any ideas on what is causing this?
Man this same thing happened to me yesterday lol. Driver's side ball joint. The parts only costed me 45 dollars it was all fixed up and running within a couple hours. I'm sorry about your luck, I was lucky enough to be in town going about 30, I cant imagine it happening at 60! Glad you are ok...
Those are really large injectors for a stock tsi or gsx. I am running 880 precision injectors and I think they may be too large for my 60 trim.It looks like your timing needs a little adjusting but this really is in the wrong thread.
Thank you for all the replies guys :hellyeah: keep them coming I should have an update by tomorrow morning at this rate.Ok guys ive got my hands dirty and looked it is coming from the waterpump hose because I thought I saw water dripping from a pipe above the housing.Problem fixed tightened...
I think the coolant line above the oil filter housing is a good possibility. It is leaking onto the block somehow, but I cant really tell without replacing it. I will take a closer look at the line. Maybe I should check with the car on :ohdamn: as it leaks very slowly when it is off.
Yes it is a tsi, and im thinking possibly the water pump, but I would like to do some research before I start tearing everything down. I just put a transmission in two days ago so I would reather not do any extra work.
I am getting a coolant leak between the oil pan and oill filter. At first I thought it was just the heater hose, but after replacing the hose and looking more closely it seems to be coming from somewhere right in front of the hose. It drips slowley when the radiator cap is on and the...
