I'm seeing 20psi at 4200rpm

Just to give some input. I'm on a fp68hta with the 8cm hotside and on 94Oct, 20psi and 13* timing up top I'm at 320whp. Ecmlink shows 38-39lbs a minute and around 390hp. Not sure how accurate that is but the 320whp was off the dyno. I'm internal gated as well and lose almost 2psi at 7100rpms...

Yeah I was gonna run a grimspeed 3 port electronic boost controller but just stuck with the manual for now...should try the other one and see how that differs.

I have an ETS race intercooler kit and on stock intake manifold but it's extrude honed. Also running speed density. I guess I'll just make my decision on...

Thanks for the input. I'll be turning it up once I'm done breaking the engine in. I've also noticed in my graph that the TQ just goes completely flat after 4500rpm...anyone have any input on that? I actually haven't driven the car yet. I will be in Washington picking it up Friday

Yeah I was thinking that too! Would the S2 Cams and the fact that it's ported have anything to do with that you think?

Nice man...I'm planning the same thing. I wanna max it out on pump gas and see how it does. I won't be turning it up this year though...I'll be putting it in the garage for the winter here pretty quick but I'll have enough miles on the engine to be comfortable enough to assume it's ready :) Hope...

So on a very conservative tune at just 20psi for engine break in period, the 68hta is at 320whp.

I just did mine and upped it to 8:5.1...wanted to go 9 but the pistons were already bought. I'm running a new 68HTA

I agree. I had overheating issues and it was only when i went over 100km/hr on the freeeway. Tried everything and turned out to be the rad.

I have the exact same setup as you MacDizzle on my 1g and the car sits perfect on the front but on the drivers side it sits two fingers tight and three on the passanger side. 7500 Canadian for my 90 tsi, mint with only 117xxx kms, full evo3 setup never seen rain or snow. 2500 for my 90 tsi winter talon, runs excellent new turbo and new stock bottom end.

Yeah it took alot of research until i came across this little trick but it totally solved the problem. Anyone who has checked everything on their car 3 and 4 times now and still are having spool issues HAVE to give this a try and let us know your result.:thumb:
