I swear I watch the 10.81 mighty max pass 5 times a week. Great motivation! :-). We've been toying with the idea of using the Chassisworks truck back-half kit to incorporate a 4-link, 9in rear end, and tires more like what you're running on the talon. My mighty max has been on the back burner...
I made the trip to a local 1/8th mile track on Saturday and busted out my best 1/8th mile to date, 7.86@92mph. Just wondering if dropping a tenth in the 1/8th would mean dropping a tenth in the 1/4. My previous best 1/8th mile pass was a 8.22@89mph on a 1/4 mile run of [email protected]. I'm...
nathan, i picked up 8 tenths and 9mph with the kit you sold me. Like I said, it works GREAT. I also ran into running slightly rich, but i'm still running base fuel pressure, so it was easily tuned out with the AFC. everything in the kit you sent me was great, and the mounting bracket clears...
mclaren55, the NCRA rules state that no standalone management is allowed in the pro street class that you are leading in points, yet you have the E6K listed in your mods. How is this possible?
Hey Nathan, I completely forgot to ship that intake manifold to you. Found it today while I was cleaning out the garage. I'll get it out to you tomorrow afternoon. P.S. guys, the 4 port setup that I got from Nathan is amazing. Works like a charm.
is there any rule or thumb as when to replace the 3 bolt with a 4-bolt rear, or is it just something i should plan on doing when i finally break the 3-bolt?
I'm using the NOS sportsman fogger direct port system that i got from nathan at DSMotorsports.mods are: ported big 16g, walbro 255, 720cc injectors, ported 2g exhaust manifold, act 2600, misc. gauges, afc, hacked MAS, 3in o2 elim. downpipe, full 3in exhaust no cat, hallman mbc, i think thats...
the spray is definately a swift kick in the ass. i'm really happy with the mph, but the times leave much to be desired. i really need to get the tranny rebuilt. on another note, do you have any suggestions on a switching setup that will allow me to spray once i hit 2nd gear? until i get drag...
i finally made it to the track last night and was impressed enough with my improvements to share with all of you.....first time out last week i did 12.99@107 spraying a direct port 80 shot. We figured this was pretty crappy since i had been doing 12.4@103 before the nitrous. After posting...
Aslan, I really appreciate the advice. We went to set base timing tonite and it was so far advanced you couldn't even see the mark with the timing light. We retarded it back to 5deg BTDC, so we'll see how it goes at the track
WOW. I'll try setting the base timing to 5deg BTDC and go from there. I really appreciate all of the advice. I'll let you all know how things go at the track on Friday.
I just finished installing a 80hp NOS direct port setup that I got from Nathan at DSMotorsport. Its actually the same kit he posted pics of in the forums a few weeks ago. We're heading to the track on thursday and am looking for some help with tuning. We have been tuning the car to run...
I've got a 90 tsi awd that i'm in the process of building and still have the crankwalked block out of my last 2g. I had JE pistons and Crower rods. I'm sure the pistons could be machined to fit 1g rods, but is there any way to fit the 2g rods in my 6 bolt engine?
can any of you guys using the IRC FMIC give me any feedback on the product. I'm really trying to decide if I want to go with the race core over the street core on my 1g AWD. Current mods are big 16g, full exhaust. walbro 255, etc. I am looking to go big in the future, but still want a car...
i've got the DSM Performance o2 eliminator downpipe with the external dump. I don't know if the dump made a big difference as i did it at the same time as the downpipe. The sound is great though, as long as you like sounding like a tractor at full boost.
i'm under the understanding that the bleeder fitting helps to control boost creep by not allowing the pressure to build too fast. not having that small bleeder hole would cause the controller to creep.
I've been using the slipping method that many of you have described. I launch about 4500 and slip the clutch for a sec. When i finally let the clutch all the way out i get a little chirp from the tires. does this sound right, or am i slipping too much? i've only been netting consistent 1.9x...
I really like the ease and simplicity of my Hallman, but for a FWD, having one boost setting may not be acceptable for you. A friend of mine has a dual stage MBC from dejon tool that he really likes.
