When key is in the on position I can’t connnect my laptop to ECU but as soon as I turn the ignition all the way over and start the car the ECU starts to connect while running it will connect.
Check engine light comes on and turns off I believe boost gauge just rises to 0. So I noticed something strange when I just have the key in the in position I can’t connect but if I turn the car on it will connect while engine is running what would cause this to happen I’ve already sent the ECU...
Stuff came up and had to take a break from the DSM. Back at it again.I replaced the entire engine bay harness since the ECU connectors have been molested by previous owners but that didn’t fix the connection issue.I did notice the MPI relay was turning on and off on its own so I swapped it...
Cable and laptop works I tested on another car that has ECMLink. I did have a cam angle sensor that was arcing. The wires under the sensor were bare, so that has been replaced could that have caused damage to the ECU?
Having issues connecting to link it’s intermittent pulled the ecu what are these resistors for and it it normal for them to look like that. Let me know if anyone has a solid 90 1g harness thanks.
Yes I grinded the calipers and purchased the kit. I looked up the part number on the rotor box and it pulled up 08 evo gsr. I need 03 evo rotors correct?
Hello I have the calipers and brackets ready to be mounted and I tried to install the rotors and they are to big the rotor hits the inside of the caliper and doesn’t let the calipers bolt up. I think they sent me 2008 evo mr rotors. I believe the calipers are from an evo 8 can someone help me...
Master rod has no threads left and it’s still doesn’t ever get to the point to where I can’t push the fork in with my finger and that’s with the brand new oem master. What would cause the master rod to not reach that crucial point when adjusting?
I think this pedal assembly might be wore out already the pedal doesn’t come all the way up to the point where it’s level with the brake pedal till I lift it up. For some reason I can’t upload a video.
Finally got the clutch pedal assembly in the mail and installed it today and still can’t go into gear with the engine running. Also put in an oem master cylinder and new line from master to slave what do you guys think.
I was turning the adjustment rod clockwise just like the video sorry I worded it wrong but I can never find the point where it blocks off the Bleeder valve.
I did do the second step but my wife was helping me bleed the clutch tonight. I’ll have one of the technicians help me at work tomorrow and try to bleed again and adjust the master and give you an update. I’ve never had this problem in the past and have always used the act street disc/flywheel...
This is the first time I have ever used a competition clutch fork I usually just buy an oem I never checked the slave rod depression point to the tob pivot point and I already tossed my oem. I’ve pulled the transmission twice the first time I installed it the fork was to far to the passenger...
I took the brand new flywheel to the same machine shop I have been going to for years and they said it was already at .609 these are the pictures they providedThey have always had to remove material to get the step correct on all my other flywheels in the past this has been the first one...
Slave cylinder was ordered from extreme psi so I’m sure that was oem and the master was oem but leaking so I replaced with a new one but I don’t think what was oem.
Hey guys I need some help. I can get the car in gear with the engine off, with the i engine on it only goes I into reverse but grinds. If I start the car in gear it takes off even with the clutch pedal fully depressed.Rebuilt TRE transmission, replaced the slave and master, act 2600 street...
Update: I rewired the evap purge/ differential switch plug to the 95 wire harness just like in post #36 and installed a stock bcs. No longer have a check engine light. Thanks everyone one that helped out. No more hesitation no more wire issues and no cel.
Connector 55 with both blue wires is from the 98 harness
Connector 55 with out blue wires is from the
95 harnessanother thing should I remove pin 52 ( ignition timing adjustment connector 95-96) Since my original 98 harness does not have this wire?
Thanks Chris
0446 cel when I removed the 98 wire harness I put in a 95 harness and it doesn't have the purge solenoid / differential switch plug (5 pin connector under driver seat) it connects to a body harness and is routed to the purge solenoid / differential switch on fuel tank. on the 95 harness. I can...

So I have a boost control solenoid coming in tomorrow so that should fix one of the two cel. Im sure I narrowed down the 0446 cel when I removed the 98 wire harness I put in a 95 harness and it doesn't have the purge solenoid / differential switch plug (5 pin connector under driver seat) it...
Can’t get ahold of any one from ecmlink been trying to email them since January. I’m sure they are busy but I would think i would get a response after two months I want to purchase v3 from them I do need a eprom ecu so if any one has one in working condition let me know thanks
I hooked the egr back up and the egr solenoid,
No longer showing 0443 hooked up the hose from bov to Intake so it’s now recirculating no more 0403. I lost the boost control solenoid so 1104 is still on. I still have 0446 even after reinstalling evap purge solenoid I had to slice in the plug from...
Been busy at work 104 hours last week so I’ve had no time to work on the car. Swapped out the maf today and now I get 5v at maf plug and tps plug car is running good other then the throttle sticking a little taking off from stopped position I might have messed up when replacing the shaft seals...
Ordered the same maf i currently had just waiting for the seller to ship.
So since I was having issues before checking voltage on ecu pin 81, I checked it today with maf plugged in getting 0.07v and as soon as I unplug the maf plug I get 5.02 v on ecu pin 81. I guess was making contact every...
I thought I did so I’ve been looking around and no luck. There’s a guy about an hour away that has a 2g maf for sale for $50 on Craigslist. Do the numbers on the maf have to be the same I have the 609 shown in picture... 609 and 055 are the same flow correct as long as it’s E5T06071 what if it’s...
Ok so I pulled out the engine wire harness and swapped it out with an extra I had laying around and still losing 5v at tps when maf is connected, and regain 5v at tps when maf is disconnected . What do you think could be going on?I was also wondering how I could find out what transistor I...
Ok so I was trying to trace pin 1 Green/ yellow since I should have 5v there but don’t. I traced the green/yellow wire and couldn’t find any bad spots. I was checking for voltage and disconnect the maf plug while testing pin 1 on tps and I got 5v since I couldn’t find any thing wrong with the...
Found a loose connection on pin 84, fixed it so there is continuity now. I checked the tps plug
pin 1 0.09 Green/ yellow
Pin 2 0.00 Brown / red
Pin 3 4.78 yellow/ red
Pin 4 0.02 black
Thank you for confirming that the plug end of the wire has the correct voltage. I stopped at an auto parts store on the way home and bought some wire and alligator clamps so I can check for continuity. I made sure the paper clip was reaching the connector on pin 81 and rigged up an alligator...
