Clutch switch isn't located on the main the engine harness. I know that it isn't for that. I am converting a manual car to an auto and I had to unplug the clutch switch when I pulled the clutch pedal out of the car. On this branch of wires there are 3 plugs. The two that I've mention and...
In the process of putting together a 95 Talon tsi. I installed an engine wiring harness from what i believe came from a 98 auto and there are two plugs on the inside of the car that i can't for the life of me seem to locate their mates. Can anyone give me some information on what these plugs...
I had already stated that I bought a 95 trans. Prior to my last comment. I don't need to be told I need to verify something when I already know what I purchased. And I figured out the answer to my question. Already so thanks for trying to help.
I'm well aware of what the transmission came off of I verified it by VIN number. That has nothing to do with the question that I asked. As I have previously stated I have done research and have not come up with anything hence why I'm asking.
Don't have grounds to perform a side by side comparison since I had to return the bad t-case back to the seller before they would ship out the new one. I purchased my car as a rolling shell. No interior, engine, t-case, trans, or wiring harness. It also was originally a manual transmission car...
I have been collecting parts to perform an auto swap on my 95 Talon. I originally purchased an Auto T-case used from a 1995 Talon. Upon inspecting the case the transfer case was locked up. I contacted the seller and was told that they had another in stock that they would send me. When I...
Evo tps sensor will plug into the dsm harness with no rewiring needed. Just to cut the dsm pigtail and solder in the evo pigtail. They look identical anyways the only different is the DSM one is larger than that evo one. I have a v1 in my evo and it drives that stepper motor so I shouldn't have...
From the looks of it the you remove the bottom section of your oem throttle body and install it on the bottom of the s90. If you wish it will allow you to delete the fiav and iac as a whole by using a block off plate. Id rather just avoid the fiav in general and by an evo one since the bottom...
I mean it is kind of like that I guess. I have the Evo sensors and I'd have to buy the DSM ones. Plus on the Evo style S90 throttle bodies you don't have to worry about blocking off the FIAV cause they come in one piece where as the DSM ones you install the bottom of the stock throttle body...
So wait i just thought about this. If the 2g can use evo ecus then the pin outs would have to be identical between the two sensors. Therefore as long as i have the evo pigtail i should be able to wire it into the dsm harness and be able to use the iacv from the evo without any issue.
Not planning on running a stock ecu. Im planning on running an evo 8 aem (v1 or v2) which is another reason id like to try to stick with evo sensors. Both iacv on each platform use a 6 pin connector so i am going to assume that they would work. I would just need the wiring pin out for both iacv...
I bought my car as a shell and i am putting it together. I have no plans what so ever to run a stock intake manifold or throttle body. My game plan is to run a billet jm fab drag manifold and a 74mm s90 throttle body. The reason i wanna run the evo sensors are because i have spare tps and iacs...
I am running a Venom Intake manifold on my car. In order to clear the intake manifold it will require me to spin my TPS 180 degrees. Is this correct or is there another way I should be about this?
I know it has been a while since I have posted on this but between going back home for my brothers graduation and finals week at school I really haven't had time to work on the car. Now that things are starting to settle down I can put more of my attention on it.Here is a new datalog that I...
Sorry I know it has been a while since I have posted. Between waiting on parts to arrive, finals week at school, and moving to a building at work I hadn't had the time to focus on the car. I had decided to get rid of the GM MAF an switch to Speed Density. I had talked to a few people locally...
I am installing speed density on my car and need some assistance installing it. I will be wiring the IAT and the 4 Bar MAP into my GM MAF cable since the wires have already been separated for them. I am wondering if anyone can show me a diagram or tell me how to wire it. I found this article...
I've used the gasket before on my previous engine (its a thermal gasket) so I am not sure if that could be it. I might change it out just to be on the safe side to give it a try.
The GM Maf isn't even going in the car anymore. I just finished ordering Speed Density. I am going to give that a shot instead. So I am going to have to wait for that to come in and install it and go from there. After talking to a few people it sounds like it will be a better option to go...
I have 1000cc injectors in the car.I am running a aftermarket wideband it is the only O2 sensor that I have in the car. However the wideband is wired into the factory O2 in the wire harness. I followed this document when hooking it up. The AIT and Baro is locked in the second one cause I...
Check the bottom of the post from 05-03-2011, 09:37 PM and you will see a log that I already posted.Already did a throttle swing and adjusted the TPS manually and in link. Here are the result from the swing and another log that I got after I adjusted some recommended settings.From...
When I put my Venom intake manifold on it didn't have enough clearance for the TPS. So I had to turn it to make the clip face the passenger side of the car instead of facing the drivers side and then extend the wires. Since I had to turn it around could that have affected it?
Ok will do. Haven't hooked it up yet cause the battery is out of the car. Ran the wires to hook the WB into the ECU and still in the process of hooking all my gauges back up. It might be the coolant temp though cause when I unplugged it to splice into the factory O2 connector the clip fell...
Yes it is plugged in. I actually had to replace the clip cause the wires stripped out of it.Highly doubt that's the issue. Brand new timing belt and brand new cam gears. Plus we have turned set it at top dead zero several times and I haven't seen any teeth missing.
No I haven't yet. The car is at a friends house right now and I haven't been over to work on it yet today. I am definitely going to try everything that is mentioned in golfers and coreys post. The reason I started the 2nd thread is because my friend is adamant that the O2 issue is the...
There is only one O2 bung in my entire exhaust. We made a custom exhaust piece to connect turbo outlet to the downpipe and welded a dump pipe from the wastegate into it so that it would recirculate instead of being an open dump. The O2 sensor for the wideband is about 20" away from the turbo...
Going to look into that tonight as well. Also going to try a different set of plugs that I had before I rebuilt the motor since I know the car would start with them. Might not be the issue but at least its something I can try.On a side note I think it is funny that you and I are...
Not sure about that. I was the one cranking the car. My friend was watching the gauge since it is underneath the hood. All I know is that when I cranked the car at first it was only getting 24psi. After he adjusted it a bit we where able to get it to go upto 40psi once the key was turned to...
Can't keep in running it dies as soon as I let off the pedal.Could this be related to the O2 sensor? A friend thinks it has to do with me not have an O2 sensor hooked to the ecu. The only O2 I have is hooked to my wideband. But it is not hooked into the ECU
I tried searching for an answer to this but had no luck. If it has been discussed in the past and I missed it I apologize in advance. Here is my question. Current the only O2 sensor that I have in my car is the one that came with my Innovate LC-1. I am not running a stock O2 sensor. What...
We are far past the triple check on it at this point.Tried adjusting fuel pressure already. We had it up to 40 pounds and still no go.I'll try the compression check and double check my plugs tomorrow and see if there is a difference.I do know for sure it is getting fuel. We didn't...
I rebuilt the engine in my 92 Talon TSi. I have installed everything and I can not get it to start. When I turn the key I can hear the starter but nothing else happens. When I floor the gas pedal the car turns over. However, it is really choppy and dies as soon as I let of the gas. As far...
Not sure if it affects the read out. But according to Innovates website they recommend that you place your wideband 02 sensor bung 18 - 24 inches away from your turbine.
