Not so much killing my battery (dies over a week of not being in use). The ecu is constantly receiving power over pins 12 and 25 when the ignition is off. The interesting thing is that pin 71 (ignition switch) works as it should (only has power in the run and crank positions).Over a month...
Hi all,I've searched around and have found no answer to the following...While the ignition is in the off and ACC positions the ECU receives power from pins 12 and 25. When switched to the run position and/or crank power is non existent over these two pins.If i'm not mistaken when...
Hey guys, I'm in need of some help... I'm using a 3g 2003 GS ecu to do my conversion and I'm having issues connecting to the ecu. I've followed the pinout guides here and those that are available for the 03 3g GS ecu. Evo/eclipse pinouts are near identical with the exception of a few...
Us with 3g's often swap the reluctor wheels in order to get rid of the CEL codes that are thrown when swapping older engines into a newer car (ie: a 2002 3.5L engine into a 2005 eclipse). This not only gets rid of the CEL but also solves the timing issue that comes along with the swap...
I've got the same pressure plate as you (act 2600) except I have the unsprung clutch disk... Follow the bleeding procedures from Here ... After having done that I was atleast able to semi force the gears in while the car was running. What REALLY did work for me though was buying an extended...
The ecu thing, its definitely cost effective. You can buy a RS/GS ecu for about $60 and load the evo roms onto it. $60 vs. atleast $300. :thumb:As for the turbo, its hard to say what its really capable of "whp" wise. Keep in mind, some turbo diesel folks have run these turbos around...
I should have mentioned... there are a few different H1C's... I got the ummm... biggest of the HIC's. That one will put me 100whp short of my goal. Meanwhile, I'll be looking around for my next best "affordable" optionEDIT:Here's a pic of the H1C that i'm talking about (on the left)... the...
I had a list of mods in another thread before but it disappeared. I'll give you the short list ROFLFully Forged and balanced bottom end
272 intake/exhaust cams
big 20g turbo (I have a Holset H1C on stand by just incase the 20g proves to be too small haha)and a few other goodies...
Here's another question for you guys... So i currently have 550cc RC low impedance injectors installed in my GST. I recently bought 2 sets (8 total) of 1580cc bosch low impedance injectors. I'm planning on swapping out the 550's for the 1580's and well before I do so I need help on finding an...
who's to say he won't want to throw in upgrades later? :confused:Also if you think about it, a stock pump and a winebro are basically the same price brand new ($90)
I didn't read to far into his post like you did ROFLI simply read the question and yea... that was that. :)The guy that posted the link answered his question :thumb:But yea, i know exactly what you are saying :applause:
loosen the bolts that hold the linkage, shift the linkage around a little bit, tighten the bolts and give shifting another try. You'll either make it better or worse untill you hit the sweet spot.
if you are looking at rebuilding an engine... look hereImport Performance Parts - Import Performance Engine & Racing Partsthey have engine kits there at a decent price.
I don't mean to thread jack but i do got a question that is very related to this... if people say that adding a 1g CAS can replace both the Crank angle sensor and the cam angle sensor... why not just split the output signal from the crank angle sensor in the first place?
Hmm, i wouldn't know what to tell you other than if it looks good from the outside and the rod on that actuator is rock solid (meaning it wont move in and out freely) than i am out of ideas :(
That is how it is supposed to be :thumb:
(add check valves if you don't have any)Internally, an engine operates most efficiently under vacuum. At the same time, too much vacuum can be bad. Search online, you'll be surprised at how much information is out there on this subject
a 3g RS/GS ecu is identical to a evo ecu. Only difference is the rom itself. Also, it is alot easier and cheaper to find a 3g ecu than it is to find a evo ecu :thumb:As to answer the question to why i won't use a standalone. IMO, too much of a hassle. Why go with a standalone when i could...
Hi all, I could have sworn i made a thread a few hours ago :confused:Anyhoo, Long story short a have a 96 GST with a fully built block (forged and balanced bottom end. Cams, valve springs, 60mm bore to the tb mount, 1g tb up top) and a LSD in the tranny... I'm currently running a SAFC...
Hi, new here.... I'm here to find some information and share information, my current project is to do a Evo VIII ecu swap (need to find all the information that i can so i decided to join so i could do that and buy parts). Aside from my 2g i have the following....i have a 05 Eclipse GT...
