Hey Guys, my clutch pedal started making a creaking sound when I engage it. I am also having a problem with first gear popping out and going into neutral. Basically if I am at a stop, I start to accelerate and my car doesn't even roll, just pops into neutral. It does not do it all of the time. I...
Leaving out little details like "my part was actually broken" doesn't make it easier for those of us spending our time to help you out.It was left out because it was insignificant. Part was fixed way before the situation. But thanks for the help. The link you posted was one that I was...
Had nothing to do with adjustments, but I believe the heart of the problem was due to the adjustment screw. Like many Greddys, the screw stripped and I re-tapped the hole, which seemed to fix a part of the issue. What are the benefits of the single spring mod, I remember reading about it on...
I thought that the single spring mod shouldn't be done with my setup. Theoretically, I can just have the top nipple connected and the second one plugged and leave everything the same no?Please note, the reason I decided to connect the bottom nipple was because my car sounded like I had a...
Ok. After searching through all sorts of DSM forums I still haven't found anything close to resembling what has been going on with my car.Mods
Nothing, but basic bolt-ons. I will go into detail if need be, but I doubt it will be necessary.Yesterday
Running Greddy Type S venting to the...
Did this just happen all of a sudden? OR were you doing something and this was just a side effect. Have you installed a new radio lately or anything electronic (i.e. lights, subs...)?
Customizing cars are very fun and interesting up to certain points. Once you realize that your car is upwards of 15-20 years old and that more and more parts become obsolete, you tend to favor and respect OEM parts more than anything else.If you have to do anything, just keep all of your OEM...
The threads are stripped. Head is fineYes I am sure. I hat to install the old filter again and the nut/bolt went perfectly in. I checked the new fuel filter to see if it was a bad part, and it is not. The job you did is simply something I am incapable of doing. Knowing this, what is my next...
Guys!I am in the process of replacing my filter as well. I was able to get everything loosened an the old filter removed. When I went to install the new filter, the bottom nut, which connects the bottom hard line to the filter is stripped. I am afraid to force it in because I think it will...
Hmm. Same thing happened to me. I took the car to my local mechanic to help me install a new fuel filter. the nut on the hardline (fuel filter bottom bolt) was stripped so I was unable to install the new filter. He said that he could force it in but it will likely cause fuel leakage at the...
Ok ok damn.I will save up for these
STM - TOKICO ILLUMINA SPRING AND SHOCK KIT | ILK-231 | ILK-240 | 95-99 DSMand get the rear Ingalls camber kit. After I get those installed and alligned I should be golden?
As far as rear camber, I have been told by many people on here to get
STM: REAR CAMBER KIT 2G DSM (95-99)And others on here as well said good things about these
STM - TOKICO HPK SPRING AND SHOCK KIT | HPK231 | HPK239 | 95-99 DSMWould this really be that bad of a route to go?
I really want to get the Tokico kit. I mean I know it is all compatibale and i'm pretty sure it comes with a life-time warranty. I would only then have to get the rear camber kit ONLY even with the 1.75" drop. Right? Do you have any suggestions on the best way to do the camber adjustmen?And...
I am still very torn.
Ok, I am either going to get Eibach Pro Kits and (Tokico HP Shocks/Struts I think) Lowers 1.3
I was told since the drop is so little that I might not need any camber kits. True?ORTokico HP Shocks/Struts with Tokico HP Springs Lowers 1.75
Tokico Spring/Shock Kit -...
I have changed my mind on them. I have talked to some fello DSMERS and some rode with the tokico SPRINGS and they snapped on him. He said even before that they were rough too. Talked to my Dealership Mitsu Mechanic and he said to go with Eibach Pro Kits and either KYB shocks, tokico, or Sachs...
I was told to buy
97 98 99 00 01 02 03 04 MITSUBISHI DIAMANTE Ingalls Alignment Kit 35850Car is 98 GSX.Any other downfalls of lowering besides less clearance, scrapping ect? Thanks for putting up for me I am just paraniod with this car and I can't afford anymore mishaps.
Some people use camber to help in corner better (this will use your tires prematurelaly, if you use your car as a daily driver)DAMN! Like really prematurely or just a little more than usual? I will be having my factory OEM GSX wheels with the factory OEM Eagle RS-A tires. The lowering kit...
I clearly understand that there are many threads similar to this but not exactly of what I am looking for.I had done something really stupid a couple months ago. I lowered my car using spring clamps. Yes probably the dumbest thing I have ever done. I don't even know why I did it either...
Your going to get different opinions of what is "the best." I suggest you think about how much you want to spend. EBC and Hawk are A+ but very pricey. Again it's all preferance. Or just get full break kit with ceramics and slotted rotors for less than 200 shipped. But those aren't "named brand."
Hmm try this, there's no gaurantee it would work but do it for the hell of it. Reset your computer by disconnecting your battery. Perhaps there is a glitch in the system? Other than that what size is your turbo and injectors?
Sounds like a boost leak. Do you have an aftermarket vaccuum/boost gauge?Yea this same thing happened to me. My vaccuum was at like 10 compared to where it should be which is like 19-20. At low rpms it would barely go and if you kept holding the gas all of a sudden it just takes off. I would...
Junk yard man! Pull-A-Part? There you will get them dirt cheap! When you go to there site search for talons/eclipses/avengers its all the same!
Good luck!
Man, you pretty much sold me! I have a couple questions though.
Were you able to ride with 18s? If yes what tire size did you have?
Did you have to rebuild the cambers?
And did you have any problems you noticed at all? Like tire rubbing, weird noises, ect?
Thanks bud
The hood is dented and yes I am paranoid about little things like that but, I planned on investing in a carbon fiber hood anyways. But I have more important things on my mind to modify than the hood right now. I also originally planned on getting a Greddy Type S but I can't find a good one for...
So a while back, I bought a Greddy stainless upper intercooler pipe for my car that fit with my stock side mount intercooler. It was a 2 piece kit. Only problem was that I had an HKS BOV. I had to end up buying a $55 dollar adapter so I could use my valve. Anyways, i noticed last week that the...
