many jdm motors came with b16g's and 510cc(not positive) YELLOWTOP injectors..if the motor has yellow on the injectors... im pretty sure that it is authentic japanesse domestic market... but the valve cover does not say mitsubishi on it... meaning it probably came from a talon/plymouth which are...
that number of 240 hp was before the FMIC at 18 psi. They (turbotrix) also said that my turbo was spooling unusualy slow, and they couldn't figure out what it was. A kid around here has the same exact setup as me but with an evo III 16g (flows the same) and is pushing 295 at the wheels. His...
a 99 GSX joined revtech?DSMotorsports did an awesome job installing my turbo but turbotrix tuned it on the AWD dyno(more expensive but theyre fixing my car now so ill keep shut)... depends if u wanna travel north (blairstown-DSMotorsports) or south (edison-turbotrix)I've never seen ur...
because t-28 killers (and their variations) are the shiznat..yea i wouldn't waste ur time.. the killer has a machined compressor housing that already chokes it off enough
yea the harmonic balancer broke on my car... when it was replaced with all the accessory belts the timing belt skipped a tooth, I wonder how that happened
so im heading down the parkway leaving a toll booth... i start to pull away, shifting from first, to second... i put the clutch in to go to third shift into the gear, put it in third and let off the clutch... i put my foot on the gas to accellerate and the thing just revs. I pull over to the...
thanks for your input. as you can see in my profile.. all of the above. what internally in the turbo could be wrong that could yield something like this.
i do also burn oil (slowly) and get a faint rancid smell of Mobil 1 burning when i shift just thought that may help...
got my car back from turbotrix for a dyno tune a few weeks ago and they said the same thing. My t-28 killer is spooling much too slow. They said they did a boost leak test and everything came out fine... and a recent compression test confirmed the same. i am getting full boost by 4500-5000...
Thats great... but a 60 hp gain to the flywheel is what i would be dissapointed about. But anyway i just ordered a GReddy 24R FMIC from extreme psi and it should be here on tuesday. Hopefully i can get it in by the end of the night. Now do i need to get it dyno tuned again if i raise...
not really... i was pushin that number at 18 psi but at the track i was being stupid and turned the boost up to 23 psi or so with race gas... that pumped me out that 13.3. It was fast tho... real fast, but not consistant. That is why i wanted to go to turbotrix to get it tunned. Now its...
this kid where i live has an evoIII big 16g on his 99 GSX... has pretty much the same setup as me but has a FMIC. installed and tuned by turbotrix and dynoed at 295 hp @ 18 psi. i guess the t-28 killer isnt all its made up to be. could a FMIC impact hp that much?
just took off the console today. seems like the tack weld that held the shifter onto that whole shifting "mechinism" broke loose.. probably from all that rough shifting:rolleyes:
im not sure if that 174 hp number is before it was tunned, or just the worst run... because on my "back-yard" tuning I ran a 13.3 ET at teh track something that i dont thing a 174 hp could yield
just got my car tuned by turbotrix yesterday. The first run yielded a wopping 174 awdhp and 186 lb ft of torque. After they tuned the AFC more i recieved 234awd hp and 259 lb/ft of torque... They also told me that they did a pressure test (that was sucessful) because the turbo took a long...
on the highway yesterday when i shift into the next gear and the stick has about 2 inches of play from side to side when im in gear. Is that the shift forks? Would that be an internal transmission problem or sumthing wrong with the cables?
hey guys.. well my second time at the track got me 13.35 @ 103 mph. very excited... ran 21 psi with race gas and a half a$$ tuning job. I was just wondering what i needed to do to help me break 13 and get into the 12's... Will practice make perfect or do i need to upgrade some equpiment to hit...
Don't worry, i was pinning the boost gauge (30+psi) a few times before i got my electrionic boost controller:barf:With stock fuel system the car would of hit fuel cut before you could do any real damage.
FP : 520 cfm
"Big T-28" compressor wheel- t-25 hot sideBIGT28 Killer: 550 cfm
Big 16g compresor wheel - t-25 hot sideConclusion: Get more supporting mods and buy an even bigger turbo
With crappy tuning and being high on RPMs (shifting at 5500) I usually get 210-220 from "F" to "E". But the tank usually lasts me about 270  I wouldn't trust the gauge, check how many gallons fills it next time you get gas... should be around 15.9
Same in the End- Sublime
Castles in The Sky - Ian Van Dahl ( lol dont laugh at me at that one.. just how it leads up real slow to the chorus and then just starts speeding up reminds me of spoolin and "turbo lag"):thumb:
two girls in the car yesterday.... they were looking at the wallpaper on my cell phone ( a picture of my turbo) and said.. what the hell is that. I told them it was a turbo... they said "i guess its some kind of car part Does it make it go faster at all, or is it just for looks"...\But then...
yea im planning to go to the track this weekend. It will be my first time too. i was practicing my AWD launches with the ACT 2600 at 4500 to 5000 RPMS with a quick slip then dumping it. It was practially impossible (since that clutch grips like noone's buisness). I only got one good launch...
sure i thought the same thing... mbc is good enough for me. Worked fine for the summer months, Then the temperature droped. THere went its accuracy and in came 30+ psi boost spikes. Spiked so bad i would be hitting fuel cut with 580 injectors...If your gonig to have a fast spooling...
My hallman MBC allowed my turbo to spool 30+ psi... now only if i wanted it to....Greddy PRofec -II, one of the most useful things my girlfr... i bought for my car
I started breathing heavy and feeling lightheaded when i first turned it on and in the intro screen they showed the GSX getting mods bolted on it... mmmmmmm mmmmmnotice when you are "hooking up" the car that the icons (where it says engine, exterior, etc...) are little pictures of...

Stock is 14psi with the BCS mod .. at least in my car. The dropping off of boost sounds like a combination of pooping out the T25 and the leaking of the stock BOV at such "high" boost.4geze63.. 8 or 9psi on the stock gauge? is that near the small, medium, or biggie notch?
