Ok guys, well good news and bad news. Good news is we had the baby, He's adorable.Unfortunately I had to get rid of the GSX for the safety of my child. Bought a 07 Dodge caliber from my work and just been driving it since. Come tax season I will be buying another DSM. Unless something goes...
This not true( i work at a dealership too.) we buy back the used cars to keep good faith in with the customers and then take the cars to auction or fix them and sell them for more.It really depends on where you are at as to the lemon law process. but it is very hard to win a lemon law case...
Well he was probably considering doing control arm ball joint combo, which would make sense as to the cost my question is do you have anyway of finding out the labor hours for the repairs. it is possible with new control arms, balljoints and some good labor hrs he might be right, i would look...
all the 2g 4G63 blocks are the same. so the timing cover's from any 2g will work, aslong as it doesn't have a 6 bolt swap done to it. as should the sensor.
Haha, This one makes me laugh when i think about it. So when i bought my GSX only had it for about a week. This kid i work with is a big HONDUH fan. Owns an Acura GSR i think 95. Dumbass tries telling me that his car will smoke my Eclipse and he knows this because he's beat 2 already. So one day...
No man that is a stock 2gb eclipse bumper, lose the "interfooler" (good stuff) and keep it looking that way. everything looks stock to me except that fake cooler. looks kind of clean though, get you some marker lights for it to make it look better.
yes, 1g exhaust runs out the passenger side, where as a 2g awd exhaust runs out the driver side. I don't believe it will bolt up since they run differently.
yea it's more like a gradual rise, not like it shoots directly to 20. i'm gonna do some more tests this weekend.and according to what i read i think understand now that the MBC has to be hooked between the line that runs from the actuator to the j-pipe nipple Correct.
Ok, that's what i thought, could it be possible that the thermal valve is broke causing coolant to come through it?Now to Answer Delta's question, when i go any more than 3/4 throttle it will got to 15 psi, in less than 3 seconds, then it take another 3 seconds for it to go to 20 psi.
Ok so i did what everyone said, and ran 1 line from the actuator and J-pipe. No there was no change. Now i also noticed the 4 vacuum lines from the intake down to what looks like a sensor going into the thermostat housing. My question is are lose lines needed? And does coolant run through them...
No actually this is stock. the vacuum line coming from the J-pipe comes to a tee, which is also what the vacuum line from the actuator goes to. then there is a line that goes from that tee to where the BCS was. I unhooked it and deleted the BCS completely, ran the line that went to that, to a...
See, i was explained that removing the Boost Solenoid it would only raise my boost level to 14 max. that's weird. So im guessing i need to install a Boost controller soon. And not do any hard pulls until then.
Here's the problem, if you check my mods list all i have done is removed the Boost Solenoid. Added a K&N, and 2.5 in downpipe to 3 in. after all the way back. I haven't really done any hard pulls. But the other night i decided what the Hell, Why not. So I'm getting on the Highway in 3rd gear and...
After watching the video's now i have a new found glory for ford. Since i work at a ford Dealer i will post up some problems that we might come across if we get any in for servicing and warranty work. Hopefully this Engine will out perform any of the their old F150 motors.
Ha, i was actually gonna post this same thread. I currently work at a ford dealership. And yes this truck should be badazz. yes they are the same engine the new SHO. Now here's the Kicker. in 2012 Ford should be unveiling their New Focus ST. Which comes with a 2.0 Ecoboost. Ford is actually...
I say if it's still for sale that we all put in a $1.00 and raffle it off. Ludacris can hold all the money and once it's bought and delivered the winner gets it on an agreement that he/she doesn't do anything to it. Sounds good to me.
well im going to get my 93 talon tsi, (future panda). guess it was just the wires that was causing the misfire problem. so here's the low down. 93 talon tsi, 160000 miles, Automatic(i know go ahead and flame on), but this is for me and my girl since i am trying to get on OUR page. hopefully she...
I would buy an OEM timing tensioner. most of the timing kits only come with the pulley, and sometimes a cheap azz tensioner. i would trust those tensioners. stick with the Mitsu on that one. Gates makes a nice timing component kit. think they are like $130.
Yes it does have the 4g63t. Get all receipts you can, and find out when the timing belt and components were changed. it's a good deal if you have the time and money to do maintenance.
in the last picture. the way to tell is that the motor is facing the opposite. side. the intake is also facing on the passenger side of the car. from what i see there are some mods, but look very light mods. possible good find. Pretty clean 2g good find if it all works out. how much are they asking.
If it has an automatic start then thats a safety feature. what exactly is it doing besides dieing, is it like a complete shut off. or like a stumble and die. if it has the automatic start makes sure that the ignition is turned to the on position before putting it in gear. it's possibly that the...
pay off all debts. buy whatever car my wife wants. buy a nice house with a huge garage. and everything of the parts truck. then buy each 1g car, and each 2g car(excluding all N/T models), and a truck for dd. and probably buy the fittapalli talon. then put the rest in a trust fund and live off...
had the same problem, turned out to be my ecu, after i was swapping parts out, i grabbed an ecu laying around with the same part # and it fixed it. just a possibility.
Chill, chill, alright i believe that any carbon fiber part that is put on the car for weight reduction and some look is ok. Even on some street cars. Now painting the CF hood is a good idea if you want the weight reduction along with keeping the car look stock. If there are parts that are CF for...
To be honest, i can't exactly help you but to tell you to call, Brandon at DSM Graveyard - Your #1 Source for DSM Parts! and see if there is anything he can find for you.
Alright, so i was talking to my fiance today about the situation and she said not to sell my gsx, keep it, and you can get a car while you fix it. And then she popped out that she is buying me another dsm for 500 bucks, some kid that has no idea about them bought it and doesn't like that he...
Talongirl: Thank you.
Spawnedx: Understandable in some perdicaments. Mine is weird since it would be cheaper for me to fix the problems rather than sell it and buy another car that maybe worse off. My job is starting to pay me better and i will be able to save more money. My fiance' has...
