If this is your first time pulling a motor all I can say is take your time, when you start lifting the motor out, lift it a couple of inches STOP and check for any wires/hoses (heater core, etc) make sure they aren't still connected. A load leveler is a nice thing to have as well, def worth the 50$
I see so many gallants with terribly faded roofs, but so many of them are over 8 years old so I guess some fading is to be expect but not as much as I've seen
If it's turning over chances are it's not the starter, fuel, spark, and compression is all you need to start it. I hope for your sake you didn't get screwed on this car
damn 1.6 60' FWD first time at the track with the car, thats fairly impressive! congrads! I run the BFG's on my awd and they are great esp with the pressure down a little, but moving on to some QTPs!
Congrats! im trying to do the same thing with my evo, but it looks like ill be waiting till next summer to give it a shot. . . . . to many bills to buy the parts i need right now :/
CF parts will be your best bet, you can start chopping away at unneeded weight in the trunk area etc, remove your cat-back, lighter brakes, rotors etc, lighter suspension parts, The more rotating mass you can eliminate the better!
http://www.lilevo.com/mirage/EVO%208%20Service%20Manual/xEvo8/Evo8/Electrical/Electrical%20Manual.pdfon page 78 of the manual it shows the electrical control relay, from what I can tell it feeds 12v to the sensors( A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J) when the ign is turned on, Is this what it is...
I have the OEM connector but basically what im trying to do is get the alternator to regulate with out the use of a PCM by just giving it + from a ign. source so I knows the car is on/off and throwing a diode in instead of a warning light. I looked at the diagram and theoretically it should...
Well basically Im running a complete standalone system with a custom wiring harness. I was going to swap over to a 1 wire alt. but why not save the money right?Ive been looking into the wiring diagram and it seems like you can just jump out the wires, throw a diode in the mix and it will...
I'd see if you could barrow another WB and see if you are getting the same reading, other then that check your fuel pressure. Maybe your pump is on its way out?
this is completely up to you, auto isnt all bad we've all seen what they are capable of. Me personally im a stick guy, but fast is fast and auto are more then capable of 11.5 and under passes if setup correctly. either way good luck.
Im actually using a RS (non abs) master since i don't need abs. I need to know the fitting size so im able to make up some brake lines.Viper, in order to run the tires id like I'd need 16" wheels. Weight is a factor and I didn't realize they are heavier then the brembos so look like ill be...
master cylinder thread size?Could someone tell me what the thread size is.10mmx1.0?I searched for a lil while and didn't come up with much, this is for my evo but im assuming that most mitsu/dsm are using the same size. I want to start ordering my parts for my brake line tuck/abs...
Yea, that thing is going to turn a lot of heads! Hybrids FTMFW. More pictures please.Edit: everyone definition of a street car is different. Here's mine: Plates and Insurance. A lot of guys are gonna say it's not a street car but who's to say it's not? I'd say a good 80% of us wouldn't pass...
