I'll claim village idiot for the day. Thanks! Is there only one bolt holding it in? All I could tell si that there's one 10mm bolt, which i'm assuming is the only thing holding it in, and damn is it a b!tch to get out. Any easy ways of getting this thing out?
I've searched and I know the sensor is located between my rear engine mount and intake manifold, but for some reason i can not find it. :banghead: There's so many wires and hoses running in that specific area that i can't quite grasp the location. Does anyone have a legit picture of where it is...
i love hearing my BOV, but I would rather have mine recirulated. The previous owner put an injen in take on, w/0 a recirculation tube, and a Apex'i BOV that is unable to recirculate so 'm venting to the atmosphere, and unfortunately I don't have the money to fix this.
Well as i type this i have an f4 tornado headed my way. After that i have about an hour break and more storms are coming. Although it's pretty bad (my grandmas house looks like it got hit from a bomb) it's really nothing compared to joplin, MO. hope everyone is safe and sound! The news is making...
That's some crazy stuff man. it was clam here for like 10 minutes and then I could see just a wall of wind come straight at my house. Next thing i know trees were flying by my house.
Ya, i was driving home form town (which i live 20 min away from) and i looked uo in the sky and there was rotation right above the road I was on. Needless to say i broke the speed limit to get home and take cover.
Well Indiana got it's fair share of storms today. As I write this my poor dsm is getting pounded with hail so here's hoping. Hope everyone is safe and nothing too major happens to them.
College is nothing like high-school at all. In high school it's so easy to get by, but in college it all depends on YOU. best of luck man and congrats!
Sorry to jump in on your thread but my dad turned my rubber stoppers all the way down so now when i pull the hood release it doesn't click or release the hood. Any ideas of how to get my hood opened now? I tried prying the latch with a flat-head screw driver, but that was an epic fail.
Snapped some bolts, drilled them out, painted my spark plug cover, timing belt cover (came out a little spotty), and my heat shield. No more red and blue contrast. Now its straight red and black :).
I have never personally worked with clutch issues, and my Dad only knows how to work with RWD clutches. I was in 5th gear on the highway and got on the off ramp. While proceeding to down-shift to 4th I noticed my clutch pedal popped. I pulled off tot he side to find my clutch pedal stuck to the...
Im only 19, but I had so much more time and money to put towards my dsm in HS. College is where they'll get you. Paying out the butt for class and books, plus the weekend activities you have to fund. Oh well, wouldn't change anything. I love my dsm, just hate knowing it's sitting at a football...
Do you have your reverse lights blacked out? mine are old and kind of yellow looking and i was going to black them out since I have my taillights done but I was always leery about doing it for some reason.
Would that bumper fit on a 95 eclipse? I need a new front bumper and that one looks SEXY. i already have a pair of 95 headlights in the garage and 2gb eclipse headlights on my car right now.
I made the mistake to pick up a girl on spring break (I'm in college). Stuff happened, then she told me she has a boyfriend. I look at it as I'll always have my dsm, and it can never screw me over....which is a lie lol
I bought mine a year ago with only 120,000 miles on it. the only thing done to it was a magnaflow exhaust, injen intake, rims, and an ACT 2600 clutch. i paid only 3k for mine.
I removed mine when installing my fmic, but then I went to college and realized needed money so I sold it. Unfortunately though my Dad through away my crash beam while cleaning out the garage.
Gofer that picture is exactly what i needed. if only someone could've came up with hat before, so simple yet so perfect.well thanks, if i have any other questions... I fail at life.
Okay, but for the stock smic (which I will probabaly be running with the t-25 until spring) where would I connect my two hoses. this is hwta confuses me the most. Pictures would be awesome
So i hook it up to the waste-gate and the boost source nipple on the turbo? I apologize before hand this is my first turbo build so i'll ask a lot of dumb questionsAnd trust me I hate not having a recirculated BOV, but it's just not in the budget right now to get a new intake and such.
Should there already be a place to hook the hose up to my IC pipe? I'm still running the stock smic, but i do have a fmic waiting in the garage for when i get the e316g.And yes that was the vfaq i was looking at haha
I bought a Dejon mbc and I am home for the weekend from college and wanted to install it. i have never installed one before, so i searched on here and vfaq and found a real good directional diagram. I have one question though. In this guys installation steps he had a re-circulated BOV and tapped...
I had this exact problem when I first got my GST. I replaced the water pump, then alternator. Honestly look into the harmonic balancer. It's a common problem with these cars (so i've heard). I changed mine and have never had the problem again.
Welcome to the DSM world!. i was in your shoes about a year ago except my 95 GST was practically bone stock, yet still not taken care of too well. Hell of a car though, and fun to drive. ( the ladies love boostin) Best of luck with the build. Oh, and i love the car lol. Nice find.:thumb:
I ordered a godspeed fmic off ebay. i had to cut the pipe, make brackets, bend the brackets that were already on the pipes, it didn't come with a reducer coupling. So it was just a big headache
thanks a lot. I appreciate it. that should cover questions for now. I'll give researching a little more efoort next time which will be when i upgrade to a e316g in about 3 weeks.
well I was headed into work when I posted this so I couldn't measure it. I was hopin someone would be nice enough to help me out so I could just go to the store and find a coupler. So the help is appreciated. On the other hand anyone know where to get an adapter to go from a 2.5" intercooler...
Well before I mounted the core I had all the pipes connected and i started the engine. I revved the car and it spooled and popped-off still, so I know it has to be hooked up right
I just finished installing my godspeed fmic. I'm running a t-25. I took it out for a spin and... NO SPOOL. I checked all the pipes and couplers and they were all on tight. Any ideas?
I found the problem. My "T" connector for the boost gauge in my engine bay was broke. So i went to autozone and bought vacuum connectors and it works now. the only problem is it's a different designed vacuum connector and now it shows me maxin out at like 10-11psi where before it was 15 osi. any...
