just picked up a 96 gs for 200 bucks lol it needs headlights and both bumpers, i have 2 97 bumpers already, but the car's tranny acts weird. 1,3,5 work fine. 2,4,R do not. when you put it in 2/4 it feels like it just glides in kind of like it would when you shift with no clutch. also grinds...
Well heres the deal ...local guy was selling a 96 GS 5speed for 1k. i went to look at it and drive it, it needs bumpers and skirts but i have those so no big deal. when i test drive it, 1,3,5 work fine, but 2,4,and R do not. u can go into 2nd and 4th but it doesnt feel like it really...
yeah thats exactly what i think man, i may end up getting a new rear bumper that does not require removal of the support, or i can just have someone fab up a steel piece
well i installed my wifes fiberglass blitz rear bumper, high rise skirts and buddy club front, the rear was a PITA. cant fit it with the bumper support, ive searched around and really seeing people only arguing about the helpfulness of it, some say 5mph and under is all its good for others say...
i think im going to go through with it guys. i think it will look pretty good. the car is like a maroon now but we want to paint it and change from a tan to a black top, so it would really look better then
i think we may end up going spoiler-less when we paint. we can always add a spoiler but id hate to do that. looking around there are alot of clean cars without the spoilers for sure.
we have an oem style carbon fiber hood and i kind of thought about putting on a trunk to match but i cant find them anywhere. i only see them for the coupe. anyone have 1 for sale or know where a good spot is to look?
Trying to get my wife a new spoiler for the 97 spyder, anyone have any recomendations? i like the turbo spoiler and maybe the battle gtr without the upper deck piece. but cant seem to see any cars to see if this is too big.
Whats up guys? Been over at 2gnt for years and finally signed up here. got out of my 96 eclipse last year but just got my wife a 97 spyder, stock for now but plan to add some goodies. Any other mid south dsm'ers here?
