Very cool!!! I messaged him on Facebook a few min ago and sure enough it is his manifold!!! It was made by GT Fabrications. He said a group of Japanese guys designed it. Cant wait to see how it performs with kelfords and an fp black
I bought this from a local dsm'er in michigan. The thing definitely has a significant amount of r&d into it. It doesn't appear to be something that was thrown together over a weekend. From what i was told, it was used on Roy Narvaez ussc 2g eclipse. Anyone know the validity of this manifold...
Strictly Performance Motorsports aka SIM sells short and long blocks on ebay. They are a legit company. They built my motor and have great customer service as well.
Beehive springs kelford 272 arias Pistons 8.5:1 new everything, turned over with plugs out. Popped off valve cover and there's still lube on cams... Wd40 into spark plug holes and let sit. Poured 1/2 cap of oil In each cylinder And rotated motor over 6 times ensuring timing is correct. I'd hate...
I had a motor built 2 years ago that has sat in the car while i kept acquiring turbo parts etc. How many ft/lbs does it take to spin motor over w/o plugs on a torque wrench? Is 35 lbs normal? Tried searching everywhere but unrelated results. Thanks.
When i worked at oriellys a few years ago, a guy pulled up in a beautiful red Ferrari F430. He walked over to the additives section and started grabbing bottles of house brand octane booster. I asked him what he planed on running the additive in. Unfortunately for the Ferrari it had a dumb a**...
Im kind of curious to see how this worked out... OP do you have any videos of the car in action??? I remember reading this thread months ago wondering if it would ever be finished
I did some researching on this on the honda and bmw forums and the consensus is that it does not matter which way the injectors are wired. Haven't seen much on the dsm forums. I wired in all of my new pigtails for my injectors backwards like a dumb***... Does polarity matter like an ait sensor...
here is the write up on how to properly time the 4g63 engine. It just takes patience and attention to detail. Do it once and do it correctly. Also this would be a great time to replace the water pump and do any other preventative maintenance on your car!!! Good luck...
Any have experience tuning with fuel injector developments 2000cc high impedance?? I was cruising through some old threads only used with link... I'm running aem and am looking for firsthand experience with the injector or the company... For 600 a set the deal sounds too good to be true...
I was just a little sketchy because i don't want to waste my bearings on first start. There really is no direction or information on this topic. Thank you spoolin98 for the advice, I ran across a post on the V8 forums saying guys have started rebuilt motors that have sat for 10 years by turning...
i had an engine rebuilt June of last year and other projects have prevented me from finishing. I assume to spin oil pump with drill and wait for oil pressure? what other steps should I take? Thanks for your advice
Back from the dead but I am running the same setup and have yet to fire the car up. Did you ever figure out what to do? I have posted on this same thing and still no responses. ANy help would be greatly appreciated.
I bought my 1 owner, 90 eclipse gsx back in 2009. I paid $2700<img src="http://www.dsmtuners.com/gallery/files/1/1/6/3/9/5/dsc01709.jpg" alt="Gsx Pics" />
i asked them to rebuild my car then i decided against it to save money... good thing i did it myself. I think the word(s) people are looking for is "cognitive dissonance"
thanks supremedsm, i found a nice write up on the forums on how to properly degree.. I also just picked up a nice magnetic base dial indicator also!!! Ill keep you guys posted... hopefully she should be running within a few months again!!! :hellyeah:
I've researched many tuners builds and I've never heard of anyone having problems with the same setup... Anyways i ended up getting another head and new valves, guides, cleaned everything and am about to take the new head and block to be revamped again. I probably should of used a degree wheel...
I have no idea...?? I'm not looking for critiques on the build... The head an block were all machined and am running a cometic mls... Has anyone experienced or heard of valve clearance issues with a similar setup??? Besides timing being wrong what could cause the valves to bend???
I recently finished a year long build on my 90 gsx. sadly after around 30 minutes of the car running PERFECTLY we had to pull the motor because of a leak coming from the oil pump. Car was still in perfect timing on the cams, crank, etc. we replaced the seal put the timing belt back on and...
do i need to upgrade valve guides if going with oversized valves??? head is in machine shop as we speak so feedback would be greatly appreciated... uhh delta 272's and dual springs tit. retainers.... if any of that matters
hmm i thought the same thing... it prob wont be as safe

thank u very much i should have included i was going to buy the fmic, and internals, and cams. heard alot about the 272's... theres not any good shops for dsm's around my area, but if u do find them there $$$. Back to the subject, i was hoping to achieve the 475ish mark. But unfortunately the VA...

thats the problem with this website nobody gives newbies with no tuner experience a chance anymore. no i never owned a honda and i could have come off as a sort of dick... no im not a trust fund baby ive had to buy everything ive had in life... and i do this buy busting my a$$ everyday at work...
id be down for sure at least a track day. we have woodward and gratiot what else do we need for a get together. National coney ISLAND!!! Hey the weathers about perfect
theres a 6 bolt bored .20 over all forged high comp internals for sale at auto addictions. there web sites addictracing.com check it out im unsure about the price. But its worth a shotits off of crooks road in rochester mi. they should have their number on the site.
but thats the nice part about being a trust fund baby!!! unlimited amounts of whatever i want... i can afford to pay for the tuning while you live in your broke ride!!! good to be me
its way better than dsmlink and you dont have to hack the sh** out of your wiring. way less ghetto and you run map instead which in my opinion is way more reliable than ghetto rigging a buick 3" MAF
Go with the AEM EMS V2 it makes dsmlike look like a stereo equalizer. Expensive but far greater tuning capability. True Boost also i like the idea of the turbo running on the computer
nows the best time to shell out for that stroker kit!!! stroker kits come with crank connecting rods and pistons... Its expensive but you get what u pay for.
thats what i just read off another website. i felt no difference but i dont have a uego set up at the moment. Theres really no difference at wot either the cars just a little louder. I was just curious im upgrading anyways. thanks for the quick reply though wiseman.
