91 Eagle Talon TSI Finished for now

@Rocketman1000R Wow, talk about music to my ears! Thanks a lot. I had a TS2B back in 2005 when I first got the car, but the clutch was on its way out. I've always wanted to go back to OS giken, but never had the funds.I've tried ACT and then clutch masters with the amazing Finanza flywheel...

91 Eagle Talon TSI Finished for now

@Rocketman1000RWould you be so kind as to provide feedback on the OS Giken R2CD clutch. How is pedal pressure feel? How is the engagement? How much torque are you currently putting to the ground? How has the clutch been performing over the years? Did you uses the OEM throwout bearing or...

    rough idle drives fine

Well... Id say adjust the idle to see if that might help. Check all your intercooler piping. If you have a afr gauge and it's reading lean that might be a strong indication that the car has a leak somewhere.Funny enough I'm actually experiencing the same issue but my car is an Evo 3 and has...

    Sumo's Evo 3

Hello all,I've been on this site for quite some time. But have only been a browser, so here's to me starting my first thread.I have a Mitsubishi Evolution 3. It has some simple but extensive upgrades. To name a few it has: A built bottom end HKS 264 cams S90 throttle body with mani mods...

    new motor low oil pressure

I have some HKS 264s in there, and possibly some HKS or JUN springs. The car came with them from Japan.Well if this helps I bought a OEM bs delete kit, because like you said some dont have in that "special" grove. A friend and I built the motor and everything was tight and in spec. We bought...

    new motor low oil pressure

Yes. It increases with rpm.As the pressure drops so does the rpm. My idle is right under the 1000rpm mark.I have on a NAPA GOLD oil filter #1356Yes to this too. I put in the stub shaft and we rotated the bearings 180 degrees.

    new motor low oil pressure

I'm going to take the chance to revive this thread. @ BogusSVO. What would be the downside of lifter tic? Reason why I ask is because, well I have it. I'm in the same boat with low oil pressure readings. Sometimes at idle my AEM digital gauge reads 10 - 13psi and the car wants to stall.Car...

92 talon with a rough idle after head install

Ok guys. Turns out the passenger mount was loose. I tightened everything up and I'm still getting this vibration. A friend of mines gave me some spare mounts (transmission and passenger) I filled um with 3M 5200 marine sealant fast cure, so hopfully that should stiffen things up. I'll be...

92 talon with a rough idle after head install

Thanks. It wasn't so much idle surge but just more of a heavier vibration felt inside the car. My blance shafts are removed and all that good stuff.Well I jacked the car up and took off the wheel, checked all bolts on the fluidampr pully and everything was still tight. I checked all the...

92 talon with a rough idle after head install

This thread is probably dead but I'm gonna start it back up.I recently rebuilt my Evo 3's motor. Started breaking it in following the "motoman method" car feels good, pulls hard, boost is @ 10psi, the compression ratio is 9:0:1. For two days the car was running fine. No rough idle or...

Forged piston with stock bore (85mm)
