Long sold but never forgotten :)

Several things can cause a timing belt being loose. Considering your pics either the timing pulley is off or the auto tensioner is bad. The picture below shows which pulley I'm referring to which requires some adjusting before letting the auto tensioner put pressure onto the tensioner arm...
Sux to see a spyder getting crushed huh...
Oh yea... Go giants! So far a very difficult game for both teams, and man I gotta say I love to see Brady getting sacked.
Yeah that ebay link you have at the begining of this thread show non other than the infamous 16g GT turbo, well known to be a low-budget turbo... and real bad quality on my personal experience, I've seen here locally 3 guys who have had nothing but bad stories with these (no lie).Definitally...
There's plenty of us around budd...Check out the local message boards
http://www.team-trinity.com/
http://www.dsmca.org/And stay tuned for local meets and events! well maybe in several weeks from now since cold weather it's not beeing friendly hehe, plus lots of us have our cars in...
If this is the kit you referring to then yes... thats all the parts you'll need to block the oil passages and eliminate both balance shafts.
Tial is a very good BOV, so good there shouldn't be a need for a dual setup, I would recomend either try to adjust your current spring or swap it for the one that works best with your setup and PSI level, Personally I have no experience with Tial BOV's but many close friends sport it and seem to...
Well I'm a little ashamed of posting this LOL, but I recently put down 252whp and 272tq @ 20~psi, this was done on a dynojet running pig rich and with no better way to control the fuel. started with 220whp or so and after a few tweeks got her to run a bit better, we decided we just need better...
As much as I drink at least two cups everyday I thought that I'd be addicted to caffeine by now, but I can go anytime without it wich is good! a few weeks back I went on vacation and didn't drink not a single cup for a full week and I was feeling good... I guess I only use it to wake up since...
2.5 to 3.5 will work... actually it'll work great since you want a tight/snug fit around the MAF lip, T-bolts afterwards and you'll never have issues of blowing pipes off under boost, (it happens, and it happens alot) I have the 3" MAF and a 3" reducer works great.eBay has some good quality...
Did anyone ever figure wich cams are these?
I have an exact same set that I got from a friend who doesn't know much about themPart #'s engraved on the side are:
I: 203261339
E: 203260422
Sounds like your ISC is bad and may need replacing, very common for our cars considering they are over 15 years old.try reading this link and see if you identify your issue with whats posted there.
http://www.dsm.org/how-tos/tttt/tttt3.htmlOr try looking it up at...
HKS BOV's are known to do a fluttering noises.Whats mods are in your car, is your car a 98 gsx?
I assume you have an aftermarket upper intercoler piping...Try doing a boost leak and fix any boost leaks you may have. Now my hks BOV (and most of them) are very sensitive to vacuum (the...
Clutch Fork may be bent, and maybe you need a new pivot. The hard part about this, is that in order to check and be sure this diagnosis is correct you'll have to take the tranny down again.
Most people will tell you their brands are awesome and whatnot... I personally have FIC's (fuel injector clinic) and I have no complaints about them, but for the most part most brands are good when talking on the 550cc~650cc range, people seem to be very picky on brands when chossing a 1000cc...
Could be, bt most then likely it could be a ISC motor ready to go... you see whrn you put load on the alternator, the car will try to iddle higher, the ISC is in charge of playing with the iddle, and maybe it can't keep up on holding the rpm at certain levels...also adjusting the BISS screw...
Yeah... sometimes you must bleed alot in order to get this things back with good pressure in the line.speed bleeders help you very much on this subject.
Try the basics:
Close the BISS screw a full turn and try... see if it helps any and keep trying that, look for obvious vacuum leaks and major vacuum hoses beeing lose or completely disconnected, check your MAF sensor plug, check you ISC to be correctly plugged in place and maybe even test it if...
You do have a nice looking nightmare!
now, beeing that you like to clean you're engine bay clean (and don't we all) and beeing that oil pressure is very important, you should just stop guessing, and tae it to a shop and have them check the oil pressure with Pro equipment, or get an oil mechanic...
If you plan to keep this turbo, a set of 550's will do the job, and I sure hope you current FPR is doing ok, but in most cases you could be overriding it with such a big fuel pump, (unless you have an aftermarket FPR) but if not, you could be runing with the wrong fuel compensation and causing...
Hello... I'm IVAN, I'm 26 and I'm an addict...to dsm's that is...Yeah, they will suck you in, I tip my hat to the person who can easily get rid of one that has put time and effort and not ever get another one. if you're that person: Sir I salute you.
Nice shots...! I actually have a vid of me flying (as a passenger on a comercial flight of course :D ) going over the colorado mountains... the view was awesome! not to mention the grand canyon on the retuning flight!
I had a valve cover bofore that had the whole piece very loose, causing to actually lean on the cams, somehow it didn't cause any damage or hit any other moving parts, but actually the oil wasn't been "splashed" evenly across the head... at first it didn't made much sense to me as to why this...
$1500 could do alot and/or not enough...(and yeah for future reference it would help alot if you keep an up to date profile about your car)Try go fast with class... I can not stress enough that power is as important as maintenance, and there comes reliability as a result. The more "well...
Viva argentina... Muy hermoso coche tio!!!Real nice, good work on everything! now the hard part is to keep it up and running longer than what it took you to put it together... lol... just kidding!Nice!
Eventually if you get time, a Dyno sheet would be the best review we could get of these products... wich seem good so far, so best of lucks on your purchase and please keep us posted!regards,
Well as of today there's exactly two months left to the event, it may sound like a long ass time, but next thing you know the date is here, so start working on your cars and get them ready, don't say you didn't have enough time in advance because you're gonna regret it if you miss it!
So far everything is looking good, the team should have several vendors showcasing lots of parts and services like powdercoating and such, so plan ahead your caravans and we hope to see people from sorrounding areas like we have had before from PA, MD, VA, The District, and hopefully from...
Yeah... I had that happened to me recently, the sliding bolts were really dry so the brakes were sticking, and I went and bought a new caliper when all I needed was to re-lube my current bolts. So check that like above mentioned and hopefully you won't have to buy nothing else, though the SS...
Anything you can do helps, for instance try bleeding you clutch system (speed bleeders help alot), don't assume you're done after a few pumps, bleed it until a nice straight stream shoots out of the bleeding valve, check for obvious leaks on your master and slave cylinder if your previous...
I have the HKS Hi-Power muffler 3" turboback with no cat and it sounds real nice, it really is a distinct sound, though I have the silencer on most of the time for street use, but when I have the Cat and silencer on is a rather quiet exhaust even for 3" full exhaust. You could say it sounds...
The concept is great, but the work done to the above cars is really really bad...!I can see a twin turbo setup with a custom TIG welded manifold, nice custom aluminum piping and a well overall installation with either a FMIC or PWR water cooled IC.The 1g car with the twin turbo setup has...
Yeah... very true... those injectors are overkill for a rather stock NT car. best bet to go back to your stockers as mentioned above. Even your stock NT injectors have some room for improvements in your engine, for instance: intake, exhaust, headers, head work, and mild cams.Unless you have...
the 2g O2 housing flows good enough even for the e316g turbo, porting helps alot, specially since this turbo loves to creep alot on high flow exhaust. If you're worried about best flow/performance of your setup get a basic 2.5" to 3" downpipe most vendors have and 3" thereafter madrel bent of...
Even if the TPS is bad, it should not cause that bad of a missfire when warmed up, or at least it didn't in mine even when I had it unplugged one time for other issues I once had.I would've suggest looking into your fuel pressure, but you said it runs fine when cold, though it may run rich...
If you have a haynes manual handy, you could see the exact location, but there is a fuel pump hotwire right by the battery, run that direct to the battery (+) and load your fuel line, you'll be able to tell if your fuel pump works, and see if the car starts right after that... if not, let us...
