    Resolved 2G Auto Help- Reverse

SOLVED! Wanted to give an update. My reverse issue ended up being that I had the reducing valve and the blue spring in the shift kit in the lower valve body flip flopped. Don’t know how I missed that with the 10 times I had it apart.Had a different issue where I would shift 1-2 and nothing...

What about modifying them to fit? I had mine bent to clear the pistons. Blocking them off would definitely raise oil pressure elsewhere.

Yes, I do have a few buddies that know a thing or two and they have helped tremendously. I think a big issue I was having was keeping the piece I was welding sturdy. I don't have a welding table yet so everything moves around. I have gotten much better since first practicing but still nowhere...

Got to practice some. Still playing with some settings. I really need to work on feeding the filler and dabbing it and keeping the tungsten out of the puddle/ filler. So much harder to do than I thought it would be.

Resolved Tell me these wires (wire tuck)

Awesome! Thank you! Got them both figured out! Both connect right behind the dash, accessed through the hole behind the fender. One goes to a yellow connector and one to a black connector attached to the dash. They can not be mixed up as the pattern on the plugs are different.

UPDATE: Put all 10 new bearings in the trans and it's very tight. Took it for a test drive and it is still vibrating!! Going to try to find a 91-96 t-case that I can test out to verify that it's not that. Other than that I was thinking; flywheel or driveshaft hangers off by a tiny bit.

Got everything ordered for my AWD trans to be rebuilt; Upper and lower intermediate shaft bearings to get rid of the vibration, rear diff seals to stop the leak and a recall yoke kit to rebuild the driveshaft with.:thumb: Will hopefully be getting her done soon!

Been rocking an open downpipe for the last couple weeks. Just got around to adding a resonator and down section to point exhaust gases towards the ground. Lots more quiet now. Going to building a 3" system once I go back to the AWD transmission. I also touched up my idle a little bit.
  37. Mark4g63t

First Car, First Build, Age 18

Well guy's figured out the issue. Right now it looks as if the intermediate shaft bearings have play. Going to be looking more into the trans to make sure nothing else is messed up as well.

    Input/Output shaft bearings

Just found out I have the same issue with my awd trans. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=es1vWWQMaMU&feature=youtu.be Is the process the same? I see it says they use the same bearings.

Well I finally got around to looking more into the trans. Pulled the end cover off and the 5th gear/syncro and intermediate gear both had some side play. No in/out play. Lots of tiny silver metal shavings inside as well.

In the process of making a exhaust. I put the stock downpipe on and now the car just feels slugish until I go WOT. Anyone else have this problem?

    Mbc on a 20g

No. Do you external wastegate? Just from turbo to BC, then BC to wastegate. Simple.

Yea me too.. Just sucks it's the trans, Going to put my fwd trans back in and either get a new trans or see how much it will be to fix this one.
  48. Mark4g63t

    Very Bad Vibration

Well guy's I think I got it figured out. Took the axles out of the trans and started it up. put it in gear and reved it up through 3rd and it started to feel like a wobble or imbalance. This leads me to believe it has something to do with the tranny. Going to be removing it and taking it apart...
