I have the V2. I don't know the difference because I never owned the AEM V1. What I can tell you is that it sounds really bad a** at full throttle. I also went from running a 16.6 to running a 16.4. Don't know if this helps but good luck.
Intake, Headers, Exhaust, Hi-Flow Cat, UDP (Under drive Pulley), Clutch, Aluminum Flywheel and you should be able to hit into the 15"s. A cnew clutch should help significantly.
No, the tire did not move in all that happened was that the fender dropped to about a half an inch so the top half of my tire could not be seen. I had to angle my fingers upward just so I could fell the top of the tires. I'm taking off the springs so I can sell them.

No I ran the 16.4 with just the V2 Intake. Those other mods are the mods that I will be getting in the next couple of months. Hopefully by next season. I hope to be running at least 15.9 with those mods what do you think.
I never owned a different intake but the V2 definitely sounds louder then most of the intakes that I've heard. I also feel more torque then I once had.
Can you feel more power through the entire rpm range or does the power kick in lower or higher in the rpm range. Also as soon as you put the pulley in was the power noticed instantly.

Yeah get the GReddy 4-1 header because if you look at our stock header as it is right now you can just see all of the restriction that it causes. Go with the GReddy Evo and don't forget about the intake.
I have seen some pictures where people have the stock speedometer installed but instead of the orange lights they have blue light in the back of the speedometer. I was wondering if anyone has done this or if it's just adding a blue bulb behind the speedometer to get this done.
The only body mod that I am seriously considering is the fornt lip that fits on the 97-99 Eclipse. Man that thing is sick as hell. Otherwise I'm keeping the stock bumper.:D
