If I'm not mistaken, the evo 1-3's were nearly the same engine as the 4g63 in the dsm. They had minor differences like manifolds and injectors, but I do know first hand that all 4g63's use the same timing belt so one would think the timing belt job would be the same.
Oh and with the 1gs if they had ABS then they did not have a factory LSD. If yours doesn't have ABS then odds are it had/has a LSD. My understanding is that the viberation of the LSD would irritate the exciter rings and it would act up.
Biggest difference is the 90's have the factory oil cooler. The 90's also were the only year that all the awd's were equipped with a rear LSD as anti-lock brakes were not available. The front driveshaft yoke is also a different spline count on the 90's. Also, the 90's used different length...
