I was using that as an example, ive also cut eclipse springs before as well and yet again, no problems, taking 1 or 2 coils off to make the car sit level is not going to hurt anything but like I did on my civic, cutting that many will more than likely bend the struts. I am not suggesting to...
Dude on my honda civic I have just until my coilovers come in i cut 5 coils off the front and 3coils off the back and it rides just fine and handles perfect, not bouncy, stiff, or it does not hit the bump stops.
Hey hey hey, I did not say cut a bunch of coils off, I said if there is a noticeable difference to cut 1or 2 coils off to not look stupid going down the road.
Tubular are designed to be equal length but strength and durability is given up when using one of these manifolds because they are made out of stainless steel and they like to crack, I personally would just go with a cast iron manifold.
My car had this problem and yes it can be a leak around the intake manifold but first I would say make sure the plug wires are plugged into the coil pack right first because they can come slightly unplugged and cause a misfire, if that does not fix it I would replace the spark plugs and see if...
Yes, they will bot up and like he said they are different spring rates but im not sure if they are coilovers or not but you could lower the back down more or if the difference is very noticeable and it is not coilovers I personally would just cut a coil or 2 off the lowering spring.
I am not sure if it has been established yet but you would know it if the head gasket was leaking, the car would not run right due to a loss of compression, from reading what you have been posting I believe that the turbo is the culprit.
When I replaced my oil return line there were crush washers on the bolts so I went ahead and got more to put back on them, maybe someone just put them on lol.
I would also like to add that the crush washers on the oil return line need to be replaced as well as the gasket and make sure to scrape all of the old gasket off or there will definitely be a leak.
Yeah, like he said, the position of the nipple is not going to hurt the manual boost controller and having a shorter vacuum hose will actually benefit.
I am trying to hook up my tach signal on my maft and I know that it either needs to go to pin 58 or pin 4 but I was wondering if anyone knew where either of those wires where under the hood to make it easier?
i did file the holes down in my 2g line and for some reason the bolt broke off in the turbo so i had to pay 30 bucks to get it drilled, filled in, and retapped, the flange moves around too much with the bolts in, and the bad thing is this is a brand new evo big 16g
Will a 1g oil return line bolt up to a 2g oil pan on a 98 gst with a 16g turbo? and if so does anyone know a company or someone who has a used or new one that can overnight it to me? Thanks.
its the AEM wideband with a bosh sensor, im going in a bit to get the bung welded on, i was prepared for that but not sure what to do on the wiring, I am also installing the 16g and fuel system today as well, im also running a gm maf and maftwas also looking at my instructions and it says to...
Alright I have been searching around for a little while about installing my aem wideband on my 98 gst, i am installing my 16g and all today and was wondering about the wideband O2 sensor wiring, can I just cut the wire off the secondary O2 sensor and wire it into the wideband? or can anyone...
