Well I am on the flight back. I took a bunch of pictures that I will have to dig through and upload. Not a single 4g63 powered car there I was expecting an Evo or 2 at least..... But while shopping I did jump a guard rail to take pictures of this beauty out in the wilds of Japan. Not much else...

Hotels are cheap one of the ones I am staying at was built for the Olympics that didn't happen only costs 30 bucks a night. Going to be spending a night in one of the tube hotels for the experience.

It is not uncommon for the o rings in the slaves to go bad if they sit for a while. Not a big deal. I am going to dig around I know I bought a 7 bolt fwd lightweight flywheel years ago if I can locate it.

Stroker has been torn down inspected and reassembled. New belts showed up just waiting on my new tensioner and clutch slave cylinder.Hopefully this thing will be on the streets again this week.

Nice project man. For transmissions try and find a Bill's autofab bellhousing. That's what I got to mate my stroked out 4g63 to a r154 supra trans. It's going in my 74 Datsun 620.

I actually just threaded a set of starter bolts into the pump holes at 3 and 9 O clock. Those 2 have larger thread bore.I threaded those in by hand switching back and forth between the 2 and the pump slowly backed out.

Hmm will have to look closer. I don't recall the pump its self actually being threaded. But I suppose I could well have missed it thanks for the heads up I will check when I get home.

What is the trick to removing the pump from these tranny's without damaging anything. I can't find any place I feel safe pulling on and ofcourse nothing to start bolts into to pull out on.Thanks in advance for any advise.

Basically with the 95/96 cas being on the belt side of the motor vs the 97+ ( and 6 bolt ) being on the tranny side of the head. The signal is a mirrior image.So when 1 and 4 fire with the 95 cas/ecu it should be 2 and 3 with the 95cas/98ecu instead. so you will ahve to swap say for example...

This is late I realize but I swaped a 95 motor into a 98 ( made a cable to reach the CAS ) I swaped the wire position on the ECU harness to get rid of the missfire and the car runs great took about 5 minutes. I didn't have to mess with the injector wires or coil packs just the swaping the pin...

All the cat back systems you can buy have a muffler of some sort. For a trailer car no you don't need a muffler but if you plan on driveing your car on the street you will have to have one. With out one your car will sound like a 20 foot long pissed bumble bee.
