As Justin said I switched to the precision .82ar backhousing. It didn't make anymore power on the dyno but the car seems to like it. I made one clean pass so far with it and went 9.6@144 on a 90* day. Also like Justin said, the t3 bep housing is perfectly fine for most. The .82 created another...
They are not going to bring that supra to a street race lol. I know its prepped and blocked off but no matter what they do it will over power the road. I would like to see Jeff Bush or Boostin performance out there. At the end of the day though imports really dont have a chance to compete...
You can just unbolt your catback and runs open down pipe at the track. The side exit is just annoying. I have a stock exhaust with a cutout so i can actually hear something and my car runs single digits.
It's a big more laggy and made the same power on the dyno but it went quicker and faster. The 9.7@146 was a perfect night. Every other night it was 9.9-10.0@140-143. It went 9.6@144 with the new setup at 1pm in 95* weather. It's a precision 6262 t3 .82 v band outlet.
I went 9.6@144 with my fwd 2g. I went 9.7@146 with the t3.70 ar back housing. 1.5x 60fts and about 35-38lbs of boost. I'm still in the processor getting it dialed in with the current setup(k272s and a t3 .82 ar back housing)
Yes I was using boost by gear and nlts. I would have to pedal a little in first no matter how much I turned the boost down. Some wheel spin isn't bad as long as the car is still moving.
I made 68xwhp/57xtq when the car was a 5 speed. Bone stock 2g fwd trans with 220k miles on it. Never had an issue until I swapped to auto LOL. I went 10.9@140 with a crappy 60ft.Now with the auto I went 9.6@144 and 9.7@146 making 620 through the auto.
After the 9.6 pass the freshly rebuilt transmission decided it wanted to destroy itself. I think when the diff broke from wheel hop it cracked the transfer gears too. When they rebuilt it they didn't catch it. Anyways, while the car is down I've redone the engine harness.
nice baseline runs. I have the same slicks as you so those should be fine. You just need to use the boost by gear as stated and practice with the launch. The hardest part is staying in when you get wheel spin. As long as the car is still moving dont lift lol.
I havent really updated this is a while. The car has been on the same setup for years. Last time out at the track I was going 10.0@140 spinning. I had to drive the car to the track so it was 100 pounds heavier than my other passes. On my last pass it wheel hopped and broke the diff. While I have...
those are some good numbers! e85 will make a big difference for sure. Its a great turbo Im hoping to make a few adjustments to my setup to squeeze out a little more power. Since this dyno I've run 9.75@146. Its auto now these number were with a 5 speed.
Seems about right for a 62mm. Are you planning on trying to drive it down the track at all? Those autozone axles are way worse than OEM. I think you would be alright with a true OEM axle. I also dont think that a drag radial will do much to help make that power work on the street lol. Didn't...
Its the blow down tube rattling around in the trunk. I brought it with me but forgot to hook it up to the bottle. As for the racing the car, my race season is September-February. I gotta work to support this thing now!
The issues last time out was the shift box again. It worked perfectly the time before but was shifting early so I had to manually shift it. I went 10.1@141 when the shift box was shifting at 6500 lol.No updates really. My racing season is over. Its time to work! The car is in perfect working...
The video isnt very good. Are you spinning on the launch at all. It kind of sounds like you are bogging. The tire pressure is fine. Turn the 2 step up and have fun breaking stuff hah.
I'll get the logs up in a bit.Update, I went to the track last night. Had some issues with the shift box but still went 9.90@143. Got my 60ft down in the 1.5x range with a 1.57 and 1.59 so that's good too. This will be my last time out for my season so I'm glad I ended with a 9sec pass.
Awesome it should be a fun trip to that goal! Being able to put as much power down as possible without spinning is key. When I had the 5speed setup I had to limit power through the 1/8 killing my et. Good luck I'll be following. 8's is pretty serious with a FWD but definitely doable.
